BSG: the great statesman Gaius Baltar 😂
do you have any game recommendations from the itchio bundle?
i do!! for those unaware itch.io is offering a bundle of 1500+ games for 5 dollars, you can get it here!! all proceeds go to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and Community Bail Fund split 50/50. most of these are playable in a few hours at most (not counting side content), im absolutely going to miss some so if anyone else has any recommendations feel free to reply!!
night in the woods (est playtime ~10 hours)
youve probably already heard of nitw but its a super good story-focused game with some really great characters and setting
a short hike (est playtime ~2 hours, developer @adamgryu)
can NOT recommend this one enough. its a really short game but it is so charming. its a sort of mix between legend of zelda and animal crossing - if flying around an island filled w characters to meet and secrets to explore sounds up your alley, i would super recommend trying it out
celeste (est playtime ~8 hours)
if you like story driven platformers definitely check this out, its super fun but can get pretty difficult but theres a ton of accessibility options if youre just here for the story and music
wide ocean big jacket (est playtime ~1 hour)
have not played myself but have heard great things about it, a short story-based game
sewer rave (est playtime ~1 hour, developer @slitherpunk)
you get to party with rats in a sewer like cmon
minit (est playtime ~2 hours)
topdown zelda but you only have 1 minute to do things before you have to start over (as someone who is super stressed out by games with time limits this one did not stress me out at all it used it more as part of the gameplay, its super fun)
so i dont fill up your dash with gifs, some more games that i havent played yet but have heard great things about:
if you like story games, oneshot, a puzzle adventure game staring a funky little cat by @girakacheezer and @nightmargin, and oxenfree, a “supernatural thriller about a group of friends who unwittingly open a ghostly rift”
if you like visual novels its got a ton of great ones like a new life by @zephyo and us lovely corpses by @saccharinescorpion
if you like games about animals and causing mayhem its got catlateral damage, where you play as a cat and try and cause as much damage as possible, and pet the pup at the party, where you are trying to pet a pup at a party
if you like action games, its got some classics like nuclear throne and super hexagon
this is just a small sample of what its got, i could go on and on, it’s got a great story-heavy game about death a mortician’s tale, a great puzzle game vignettes, the visual novel/mech brawler extreme meatpunks forever, the art school simulator art sqool, that little desktop widget thats a rude goose that steals your windows and mouse and drags them away, some gamedev resources, tabletop stuff like blades in the dark
itch.io also picked out some games from the list here to help people overwhelmed by the sheer number of games, though i also super encourage you to check out the full list yourself too, there are tons of great games filled with love that i couldnt get to here. and again if anyone else has any other recommendations please feel free to reply with them!!
Now pose.

SEVEN WORLDS, ONE PLANET 2019 | Presented by: David Attenborough
You see, there are still faint glimmers of civilization left in this barbaric slaughterhouse that was once known as humanity. Indeed that’s what we provide in our own modest, humble, insignificant… oh, fuck it.

Michael Sheen and David Tennant on The One Show playing a guessing game about objects they got from sets. (x)
Michael: This is a beautiful book, it’s called Folk Tales of All Nations by F.H. Lee, and it’s beautifully bound, where do you think this is from?
David: I reckon you nicked that off the set of Good Omens.
Michael: I did! It’s from Aziraphale’s bookshop! It’s from Aziraphale’s bookshop which got burned down at the end of the story and so we were asked ‘Do you wanna to keep some of the books?’ so I got a bunch of books from Aziraphale’s bookshop.

Pros and Cons of making things
Pro: Thing
Con: Make
you summed up the struggle of all creators ever so nicely
- I'm never gonna get out of this town, am I, Gordie?
- You can do anything you want, man.

As a med student I sadly have to agree with this!
Some more 6x8in ink and watercolors I finished recently, please go to my shop on Etsy if you’re interested in any of them.
This is one of my favourite parts from the screenplay... just the unbridled frustration that “he SCREAMS” conveys... mr pink is done with everyone’s shit and i am living for it.
