Lilith Lives AU Facts/Headcanons

AKA a list of headcanons for my AU (so they're canon since I write it? Kinda? Idk honestly, but take them anyway and enjoy!)

Lilith:

Works at a planetarium part-time with Belphie (she shows up more often than he does though).

Same hair color as Satan.

Became more somber and mature after The Fall, but still retains her mischievous curiosity.

Blind in her left eye due to battle injuries; very adjusted to it after centuries, and her and Belphie often watch each other's backs.

While not quite as into it as Levi, she still loves Ruri-chan, and geeks out with him about it. Levi and her watch together quite often, with his constant narration (giving him the opportunity to ramble to his heart's content; she doesn't mind). Levi also collects manga she's interested in for her to read.

Since they're nearly the same height and have a similar build, Lilith and Belphie swapped closets when they transitioned; Asmo took them on a shopping spree for the rest of their clothes.

Her fashion sense is flowy, stretchy, and easy to move in. She likes uncomplicated dresses, skirts, yoga pants, leggings, sweatpants, t-shirts, v-necks, tank tops, hoodies, and any kind of comfortable easy-to-get-on-and-off footwear.

Has the quickest temper after Satan; incredibly hard to talk down while she's angry.

Pray for the siblings if Satan and her ever get into a fight (thankfully, they get along quite well).

Hopeless romantic all the way through. While this definitely dimmed after The Fall, she's still a sucker for cheesy romance novels and rom-coms.

I'm not sure I can express this sentiment strongly enough, but I'm going to try via the medium of large bolded text.

Write what the fuck you want.

Write what makes you happy. Write what makes your soul sing. Write what fucks you up and makes you cry. Write what comforts you. Write what distracts you. Write what you want to read. Write what you want to watch.

Write what you want to dream about tonight.

Write what you can't get enough of. Write what you're completely obsessed with. Write what wakes you up at 4am and drags you out of bed because you can't stop thinking about what your characters are going to do next.

Write what turns you on, if that's your vibe. Write characters you're in love with and characters who inspire you and characters you want to be friends with and characters you fucking hate but oh my god they're so much fun.

Write about things you would sell your soul to do in real life and things you would never do in real life. Write about things that are happening right now and things that happened a thousand years ago and things that might happen in the future and things you wish could happen.

Write to get a publishing deal or to sell your books yourself or not to sell your books at all. Write for your friends or for strangers or for the people who reblog your posts on Tumblr and send you songs that remind them of your characters.

Write for yourself.

Fuck any system that tells you there's only one right way to create or one valid way to share your writing. Your story, the way you tell it, has so much value. Make people smile or piss people off or do both of those things because art is divisive and fascinating and beautiful.

Start writing. Keep writing. And write what the fuck you want.

Punctuating Dialogue

However, if it’s not dialogue exclamation points can also be “outside”!

“Interruption” — but there are situations dashes may be outside.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.

Well, I have already said this once and now I’m going to say it again. You are all amazing and You are all unique. There are many things in this world that will happen to you and many things that people, friends or family members will say that will lower your self esteem, but just because they say it, it is not true. You know what you are capable of and are very well entitled to that right to know what you are capable of. There is greatness in you that if you kill yourself tonight, you will not be able to figure out. So many lives that you need to touch and meet. So many amazing things you need to accomplish. Have a husband, experience love, hold your kids when they are born. I’ll admit that it’s been difficult for me the last week. My mom has COVID and she is not in her right mind so she gets mad at me a lot and blames me. My sisters don’t understand what I am mentally going through and get mad at me for many things. I have things that I need to do better at and thoughts that have protruded my mind telling me that I’m not good enough and those previous amazing experiences don’t even matter anymore because I’m just not good enough. It’s been a dark place, but the one thing that has gotten me through is thinking about my future family. Of having hope that I will one day meet my beautiful children and get to marry such a wonderful man. Hope of a better tomorrow has gotten me through this and still is. I believe and know that the Lord loves me and he loves you too. Have hope and be patient. That’s all it takes. Patience and hope. You will see a silverlining soon. Just be patient

I feel like people need to understand that liking a character does not automatically mean that you think they're perfect flawless beings?

Like, my fave is Belphie. I love him, his storyline is very interesting, I think he can be kind and compassionate, I love how straightforward he is, and he's the adorable youngest sibling.

He's also a fucking menace who literally offed MC, had an entire plan to commit genocide, is snarky, sassy, part of the anti-Luci league, and a manipulative brat.

These things are not mutually exclusive. I very well understand that Belphie is certainly not a completely morally-amazing character; however, I still love his development, his sibling relationships, and his general personality.

In conclusion: The characters you like do not define your personality. You can like characters because of something in your real life, but when consumed normally, fictional characters are...pretty harmless drawings.

If you want extra reassurance: I am yet to murder anyone lol.
