1975: A Prophetic Drama. In this scene, the premieress of England is communicating with her driver, Blitzen, via tablets on their foreheads that use electric waves. Based on a play written in 1875 and set in 1975 in the British Museum by American sculptor Harriet Hosmer.

About Us
Marianne Petit lives in New York City and Shanghai, China. Her work has appeared in international exhibitions, broadcast on IFC and PBS, and featured in numerous publications including Hyperallergic and Wired Magazine. Her pop-up books are in many collections, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The Berlin Public Library, The British Library, as well as numerous University and private collections.. In New York, she is an Associate Arts Professor at ITP at NYUâs Tisch School of the Arts. In China, she is the Director of the Interactive Media Arts Program at NYU Shanghai. She was previously the co-director of Greylock Arts, a non-commercial art space dedicated to new media practices in Western Massachusetts.
Jody Culkin is an artist who has shown her sculptures, photographs and new media pieces at museums and galleries throughout this country, including P.S 1, the Boca Raton Museum of Art, the Neuberger Museum, the Bronx Museum, and internationally, including IV Salon y Coloquio International de Arte Digital in Havana, Cuba; Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome Italy; Amerika Haus in Cologne, Germany; Canterbury Arts Festival in Canterbury, England. Her work has been written about in Art Forum, Art in America, TimeOut New York among other publications. She received an Artists Fellowship in Sculpture from the New York Foundation on the Arts, a sponsored project grant from the New York State Council on the Arts, a Design Award from the New York City Department of Transportation. She is currently a Professor at CUNYâs Borough of Manhattan Community College in the Media Arts and Technology Department.

These pieces are based on stories that originated in the 19th century: Marianne Petitâs work illustrates âStruwwelpeterâ, a childrenâs book written in 1845 by Heinrich Hoffman, Jody Culkinâs work is based on â1975â, a science fiction play written in 1875 by sculptor Harriet Hosmer, and âThe Interpretation of Dreamsâ written by Sigmund Freud in 1899.Â
