Houseplant Correspondences & Meanings
I've developed these correspondences as part of an oracle deck that I had planned to create but I need to actually draw them.
ANYWAYS here are some houseplants and their witchy correspondences!
If you know me personally or have been following me for a while, you'll know that I'm obsessed with houseplants. So of course, being me, I've been trying to incorporate them into my practice.
Snake Plant (Dracaena trifasciata)
-Inner Strength, Positivity
Snake Plants can live and thrive even in difficult environments. This plant reminds you of your inner strength and of the positivity around you. You are capable of adapting to your situation. Be confident in yourself and your decisions, even if those decisions are hard to make.
These plants are also believed to have the ability to absorb negativity and release positivity, as a person this is someone who always shows you the bright side.
Rubber tree (Ficus elastica)
-Flexible, Lenient, Support
Rubber trees are diligent and flexible. The aerial roots of the rubber tree are used to build bridges in some places! These plants are able to be trained as they grow so that the tree is never harmed.
Things are changing and you seem to be handling it well, allowing yourself to go with the flow is the right choice. You may be the support for someone else going through a change right now, allowing them to lean on you and reflect on your love and kindness.
Ficus Elastica reminds you of your resilience, your ability to bend without breaking. You know that as time passes and things change you will only get stronger.
Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)
-Easy going, Care-free, Quick to recover
Perhaps it’s time that you allow yourself some freedom. This card urges you to practice some self-care–and that doesn’t just mean drinking a gallon of water and smearing on a mud mask–let yourself relax and have some fun. Hang out, like the vines of your friendly pothos.
This plant can also represent someone who is outgoing, carefree, and a true extrovert. Seek them out for support, they are a good companion to have.
Spider plant (Chlorophytum)
-Friendship, Community, Kinship
The spider plant is one of the easiest plants to propagate, making it an easy gift for those around you! This plant signifies a strong community and friendships. Take stock of the friends you have and let them know how grateful you are!
You can look toward and lean on your friends and your community, either for guidance or for a listening ear. Let yourself be a part of this community and know that it doesn’t make you any less of an individual to be part of something bigger than yourself.
Maidenhair Fern (Adiantum)
-Gentle, Careful
Maidenhair fern is soft to the touch, encouraging you to be gentle with yourself and those around you. Let yourself be taken care of and allow others to shower you in love and praise, you deserve it. You are being careful, and there is no shame in that, but without any trust in yourself or those around you, you may end up worse off. Let your hair down and have some fun.
ZZ Plant
-Resillient, Independent
The ZZ plant is known for thriving even with little outside help, it’s time to be like ZZ and be independent. You have the resilience and strength necessary to make it on your own. This doesn’t mean that you need to be alone, just that it’s time to stand with your own two feet.
This plant also reminds you that while being independent is certainly something to be proud of, it’s okay to reach out for help when you need it. Even the ZZ plant needs to be watered and given a little sunshine!
These correspondences are based on the history, meanings, and overall vibes of the plants. It's ok if you don't agree with these, as this is just a page from my grimoire that I'd like to share with other plant lovers.
ANYWAYS here are some houseplants and their witchy correspondences!

Messy Witch App Recommendations
These are some apps I have that I think are witchy related, and I’ll explain each one below. I got all of these for free for Iphone, idk about any other smartphone.
1. Labyrinthos Academy -
This was my first tarot app by Tina Gong which uses the Golden Thread Tarot deck, which is very simple and easy to learn from. This app goes through the cards and their meanings through memorization games. It’s very useful for beginners to learn the basic meanings for each card. There is also a daily card feature where you can log your interpretation, but I never used it much because it’s isn’t the best feature of the app. This one is definately best for using the memorizing games to learn specific meanings.
2. Golden Thread Tarot -
Another tarot app by Tina Gong, obviously it uses the Golden Thread deck. This one’s main function is a daily card where you can log your interpretation. The log also allows you to record your emotional state and specific feelings you had when reading your card. Then you can look at how many times suits or numbers come up in readings, and your most frequent feelings based on week, month, and year. I think it’s a great logging feature so you can keep checking your emotional state day by day. It also has a tarot database where you can look up any card through a search. It also has a collection of spreads. I use these as guidelines for physical cards, but you could also use this app as a digital deck which is also really interesting. What I don’t like about these is that it asks you to write you question after, and honestly, sometimes I forget to ask it before and it messes up the reading. You can also click on the cards after you flip them to see definitions but you can’t do that once you’ve started to log it, so if you forget you can’t go back. Otherwise, pretty good recourse app, I use it to look up meanings from the database a lot.
3. Luminous Spirit Tarot -
Yet another tarot app by Tina Gong, this time using the Luminous Spirit deck by Labyrinthos Academy. This is most similar to the Golden Thread app in format and features and function, however, it used a different deck and focuses on teaching tarot through connection with the moon. So for anyone particularly devoted to the moon, I would recommend this one. Instead of daily cards, this app keeps track of the phases of the moon. You come up with a monthly goal or focus and as the phases change you do a full reading about that topic through the cycle. It also asks you to meditate on your question by “charging the moon” where you can really focus on what you need to be asking. It keeps track of your readings and you can use the digital deck, but unlike the Golden Thread, it allows you to look up the meanings of the cards as you write your interpretations and helps you relate them to their position in the spread. This one is best for learning how cards function in spreads and in relation to each other. It also has a database and if you’re not in love with the Golden Thread deck, this deck is more realistic pencil drawings in black and white which has a more soothing appearance. Very simple and useful!
4. Seventh Sphere -
Yes, it’s by Tina Gong, however, instead of another tarot deck, this is a Lenormand card deck. It has some short lessons about what a Lenormand Deck is as well as a database like the last two. It has another logging system, more similar to the Golden Thread or Labyrinthos Academy apps than to the Luminous Spirit one. It doesn’t have you meditate on your question beforehand but it gives you a list of interpretations to think about. Because this is a different deck, I don’t mind this set up because it helps me learn each card’s meaning through practice and how to use this set of cards. Also, this deck is gorgeous! Like screw all the other decks I was dreaming about this is first on my list when I get spending money again and want another deck.
5. Stone -
So this is the most simple app on this list. It is literally just a list of pictures of gems and crystals and you can click on any and it will show you its properties and a well-written description of it. That’s it. I don’t have my own correspondences for crystals or anything so it’s easier for me to use this.
6. Planets -
Okay, this one is cool. This is basically a digital sky. You can hold it up to the sky and move it around and it will show you exactly where all the stars, planets, and constellations are in real time. You can also set it to 2D mode where it rotates like a compass. There is also a section that will tell you the visibility of each planet and the moon, and if you click on each it will give you more details. I think you can also zoom in on planets and stars but I don’t use that much. I recommend for witches who like to time their spells to celestial movements or have a hard time of visualizing or don’t have access to look at the night sky always.
7. PlantNet -
This is one of my most popular post on here and it was a goddamn typo. Yes, this is PlantNet, not plannet. I got it, thanks. But seriously this is a super great app for identifying plants on the go. You take a picture of a plant and it searches a database for a list of possibilities of what it could be then, links you to their Wikipedia page. It’s not 100% accurate but it’s cool and sometimes useful.
8. Infinite Storm -
This is an audio app that I use for meditation on the go. You can customize the noises, the types of rain, the intensity, if you want thunder or not, and add other sounds. It’s simply lovely.
9. Yummly -
I just downloaded this today but I already love it. It’s just a food app but I’m a kitchen witch so, yeah. I have a couple food apps (tasty, pintrest, etc.) but I’m excited about this one. It customizes your feed by your food preferences and you can list your allergies and food you just don’t like. You can add recipes to lists and make a grocery list. You can search by what you’re in the mood for and you can even find recipes based on what you already have so you don’t have to go shopping. I miss cooking and hoping that this will give me a few more good recipies to try that are different than the same 6 that keep appearing on my pintrest feed.
These are about all the ones I have so far that I like. I used to have others but clearly haven’t used them enough to keep them. If you have any witchy apps you love send them my way, I’d love to check them out!
There is an unfortunate bullying epidemic in the witchcraft and spirituality communities here on tumblr.
Just yesterday, I announced that I would no longer allow anonymous messages on my blog because of the influx of harassing messages that I received after my blog was posted on an anonymous “uncensored” blog.
And I’m not the only witchblr blogger who has experienced this bullying. Several people stepped forward after my initial post saying how my post helped them feel less alone since they, too, have experienced anonymous hate from members of the community.
I have decided to turn this negative and painful experience into a positive. Today will be the start of the Witchblr Anti-Bullying Campaign.
I challenge all of us to make a stand against bullying in this community. How you decide to do that is up to you, but here are some ways that you can make a positive impact on the community:
1. If you see or know that someone is being bullied, reach out to them! Being bullied like this can often be a scary and upsetting situation, especially if the anon hate contains threats or suicide baiting. Having someone reach out and offer support can make the situation easier to deal with.
2. If you receive anon hate, block the sender. If we all block everyone who sends in hate, the bullies will be closed off from the community and unable to do more harm. And if the messages contain threats or other illegal content, you may want to report it to local authorities.
3. Similarly, if you know that someone is a bully, block them. Don’t even engage or talk with them. And never sink to their level and bully back.
4. Avoid anonymous “uncensored” blogs where people are permitted to anonymously post racist, transphobic, antisemitic, and otherwise bigoted content without consequences. These blogs enable bullying and allow harassers to circumvent any blocks. Let these bullies and bigots shout into the void without any recognition. Once they realize their hurtful opinions aren’t being heard, they’ll likely stop posting altogether.
5. Take some time to spread positivity in the community! If you really like someone’s posts, tell them! Send people anonymous kind messages. Treat people the way you wish to be treated.
6. Be mindful of your own actions and how they can affect others. None of us are perfect. We all have the potential to snap at people from time to time. If that happens, just apologize!
7. Practice positive confrontation. If you have a disagreement with another witchblr, contact that person instead of posting it publicly. While “call outs” have their purpose, not every incident is call out worthy. Before writing a call out, ask yourself why you’re doing it. Are you doing it because you want to protect the community from someone, or are you just mad? If you have an argument or just don’t like someone, posting about it in an attempt to harm or slander the other person counts as bullying and may even encourage people who are uninvolved in the situation to send in anon hate. Contacting the person directly in a firm but respectful way will often lead to better more productive results.
8. Reblog this post to spread the word and make a pledge to do your part to help reduce bullying in the community! And please include your own ideas on how we can collectively heal our community.
The anonymous nature of the internet often allows people to act without consequences, leading to a lot of toxicity. But it doesn’t have to stay that way. If we all band together, we can make a positive difference and make witchblr a safer, happier, and healthier community.
Thank you.🔮
This campaign has my full support, and I really appreciate Prim making this!! Please boost ❤️
The vast majority of Discord server admins and soooo many Tumblr bloggers who I know have been through really awful experiences with bullying online. Honestly, I see it happening so much that it can be easy to feel desensitized to it. But not only is this a very widespread issue across our communities and across different platforms, online bullying can be much more dangerous and harmful than it seems on the surface because of the impact that it can have on mental health.
This is also an issue that is very personal to me… as some of my close friends know, I’ve been a target of bullying on Tumblr and Discord more than once in the Witchblr/magic communities over the past couple of years and on an on-going basis in the form of anons. It takes a huge emotional toll, and it’s one of the many reasons I’ve tried to dial back my time on Tumblr and move over to WordPress instead.
Please take a moment to read Prim’s suggestions for how to avoid bullying, stand up for others, and be supportive of folks in our communities online. Let’s try to make this place a kinder, safer, and more caring one for each other.

🔮🌠Tips for Reading Reversed Tarot Cards
🌙 The upright meaning of the card has already occurred.
🌙 Energy that is blocked, closed off, resisted or denied, both consciously or unconsciously.
🌙 An unreleased potential ,which is being re/suppressed.
🌙 A turning point or opportunity to take action in order to bring the qualities of the card into expression.
🌙 An aspect or part of personality that we usually hide away.
🌙 Resistance, procrastination, or denying something.
🌙 Inner, private part of one’s personality. Misunderstood or unapparent qualities.
🌙 Similar meaning as when the card falls upright but in a less conscious or developed state. A behavior is not fully matured and is hardly visible.
🌙 An idea just under the surface waiting for the right time and conditions under which to appear.
🌙 The characteristics represented by the card are being reevaluated and therefore temporarily up in the air. It can, consequently, denote the beginning of greater clarity or a new cycle.
🌙 Suggests the benefit of trying to learn something new or stepping out.
🌙 Encourages taking action towards more independence and breaking away from relaying on others.
🌙 Shows pressure building under the surface.
🌙 New beginning, outlook, potential or a new way of seeing one’s self, one’s relationship or situation.
🌙 Opportunity to take charge and make a difficult change before it is made for you.
🌙 Indicates stress and instability triggered by change and regaining perspective.
