Attn witches of tumblr
I need more witchy blogs to follow, reblog or like for a follow, and a follow will be much appreciated
Looking for adult witches to follow!
Newbie witchling here, looking for cool people to follow!
Please like or reblog if you’re a witch of age 18 or older. Must be LGBT friendly.
How old are you if you don't mind me asking? I feel like you just went through one of life's, "mini-deaths" Which is really just a re-birth.
21, I also think it was some of these experiences.
Your blog is amazing! has a lot of interesting and educative posts. I'm new to witchcraft and this one has become my favourite blog so far. Keep it up!
Thanks a lot!
“Fetch” didn’t happen. But “stop trying to make ‘Fetch’ happen” happened big time.
Date your local necromancer. When you’re feeling down, they’ll help raise your spirits.
when your parents are giving you lectures on life lessons you’ve already learned through traumatic experiences they don’t know about
Local Witchcraft
Every witch has a deep well of local energy to draw from in their craft. So much can be learned from what’s around you; you just need to tap into it.
Learn about endangered species. Take steps to protect them.
Learn about invasive species. Learn their properties, pull them up, and use them in witchcraft.
Study the plants around you.
Learn their medicinal properties.
Learn their magical properties.
Learn their scientific names.
Learn which ones are edible and which ones are poisonous.
Learn about local animals– which ones are endangered, myths surrounding them, etc.
Research the meanings behind names of towns, streets, parks, buildings, etc. There may be interesting bits of history or folklore.
Identify major natural forces in your area (eg: storms, the ocean, wildfires)
How do they affect you?
How can you get in touch with them?
How can you harness their power in your magic?
Research local folklore.
Get involved with conservation programs or environmentalist groups in your area.
Observe how the land around you changes with the seasons. What can you see at certain times that you can’t at others? What flowers bloom, what bugs are active?
Go out in nature! Familiarize yourself with the wonderful energies that surround you.

Yes!!!
I am into bioregional animism and each area is unique has it’s own magic and energy!!!
Some other tips are:
Research your local agrarian cycle. Look into a farmers almanac or what natives have eaten there around the year for centuries. Many witches observe the wheel of the year which is an agrarian cycle based off of the western European islands but it really does not apply for any other climate any where else. Make your own equinox and solstice celebrations based off of your local environment and collaborate with witches in your regional climate to form a community but also get ideas for practices to help you be in tuned with your local nature!
If you could, taking care of potted plants of local nature, having a garden or working in a community garden can do wonders to help you get connected! Even better in some towns (like my own) we have programs where we can participate to make our yard a mini habitat for local birds, animals and insects like especially the butterflies and honeybees. (We have to grow certain plants in our backyard to participate that will attract these animals). If you have the space and opportunity, helping your yard to be a natural habitat will help the local nature!
Speaking of the agrarian cycles, research what foods are local to you and when they are in season! Incorporate it into your kitchen magic! Most places often have periods of the year where they like to pickle foods, ferment them, smoke them, or it’s in abundance! Get in tune with the food local to you!
Familiarize yourself with the local trees or the large plants and roots around you. Trees are powerful teachers and their fallen branches have been used in magic for centuries. (Cactuses are super powerful beings too lol). Try to befriend some!
Bonus if you are looking for an animal companion, it would be cool to get a pet that would be suited for your environment! (which goes without saying that all pets should be bought in an environment they will be happy in) Desert witches with cool lizards or (harmless) snakes! Southern swamp witches with turtles and toads! Tropical gulf witches with colorful budgies or iguanas! Plains witches with bunnies that can hop forever in a huge fenced yard! Also some witches I know from various regions have certain companions for reasons that are cultural and make sense like my witchy friends from Pennsylvania all have dog companions but most grew up on farms and large open space.
I’m glad you made this post! This is such an important topic to me. I also would love to hear any one else’s ideas if they’d like to add!
Necromantic meditation: Focusing Death Energy
To be preformed at night. Open your Windows and light the incense of death (Rose, Lavender, Jasmine, Sandlewood…). Lay on the ground bare backed, cross your arms over your chest and close your eyes. Slowly breathe, hold and release in a five count (or whatever is comfortable for the sorcerer). Begin to feel your heat leave you, the cold filling your body. As you inhale, feel the cold air go down your wind pipe and into your lungs, every breath filling you with the cold night air.
When the cold has enveloped your body, begin to contemplate death, dying, what would a corpse go through during decomposition, as these thoughts invite death energy to you. Slowly visualize a spiraling vortex, it’s color is black and it spirals away from you and into a center. Slowly see this vortex collapse in on it’s and form a black orb, which radiates a sickly yellow-green. This is where the beginner will stop and break meditation. Once this becomes easy for them they may proceed to try one of the following:
Taking in the energy: Slowly bring the orb up to your mouth. Inhale deeply until the orb is gone. You will feel spiritualy charged and physically drained.
Release: Press your hands together until the orb bursts open, releasing the energy.
Manipulating it: Pull, move, compress and stretch it, see how different movements affect it’s drain on you.
Experiment [on] and examine it: Make mental notes on it’s properties and write them down later.
Charge items: Push the orb deep into an item, charging it with death energy.
Drain others: By sending it to someone and then consuming it you are collecting the energy they were drained of.
Best of luck, -Sage.
Stranger: are you a witch?
Me: yeah
Stranger: are...are you a BAD witch????
Me: yeah, I don't memorize my rituals and my idea of a sabbat celebration is making pancakes from mix
Spiritual grow. Sometimes it sucks, but not really.
Hey I was completely inactive on the site. To my new followers hi to all of you. I don’t even expect to keep gaining followers these few months but now I have more people to talk about the aw(ful)esome experience I’ve been trough these past time. I began a large exploratory set of workings to keep in touch with the darks energies of the world and myself, these kind of workings that are supposed to change your life in one way or the other and well.. Shit just got real.
Friends: lost.
Positivism: lost
Energy: lost
Will to live: O b l i t e r a t e d It got to a point when it just make me laugh when bad things happen and in one instant I just cracked. My mind just shattered and the illusions of my life burned to ashes.
Buuuutt from that ashes I become stronger, with not desires, with no lust, hope or light in my life I was in a place where the only good thing I could do is be my own good thing so I made myself up and grew A LOT.
Things that I don’t even knew where holding me back where nothing, all past suffering was just that, past and now I have this fiery energy pushing my life, my job and my art together.
Now I have crapton of motivation, new projects and things to do, hope we can together create something beautiful of this world.
Some Uncommon Tools in Death Witchcraft
I feel like some materials that are commonly used in other paths are often overlooked by death witches. For example:
Bloodstone is not often mentioned, but has incredible potential for death work. It represents blood flow in the human body, and therefore can be used in spells in the same vein as actual blood is used. I mainly use it to connect to ancestors, but you may also use it for grounding, protection, and energy work.
Cascarillla (ground eggshells) have potential in the craft; they represent death of a conceived chick, and the protection of new life. It can be used in place of salt if you’re scattering it around plants, as it won’t harm the surrounding nature. You can even make a black salt out of it by grinding it with ash or charcoal, or dying the egg before the grinding it.
Banana bread can technically be a good offering, since it uses brown bananas oftentimes. Bread is also a common offering for the dead.
Many witches recommend harvesting plants when they’re still alive. For death witchcraft, there may be more power in harvesting dead plants. For example, fallen eucalyptus leaves would make a fine addition to any protection powder against malevolent spirits, due to its association with both protection and death.
Sea shells and snail shells are traditionally common in bone throwing for representing the bones of the sea and the bones of the earth, respectively. If you don’t have actual bones on you, these would make a nice substitute.
Although blood is often recommended for linking yourself to a spell, you may also use nail clippings, hair, saliva, or even tears.
Paper clips are an accessible, cheap source of steel, which is mainly iron. A great ingredient in protection spells.
Dawn is a great time to work with beginnings and afterlife, while dusk has potential for spells about endings.
Dirt from crossroads or the gate of a cemetery helps one connect to spirits, and cross over into the afterlife.
Don’t want to use bones? Use nail clippings, talons, teeth, or even snakeskin or furs.
