Don’t test a sleeping dragon. That was what they said—whoever they were—and although the dragon had not been asleep, Jack felt the same applied. The winter sprite however could not resist the urge to thing the ball of snow at the beast. Amused by the look of irritation on its features, Jack bit down on his lips to keep in his laughter, all the while smirking teasingly.

The white haired-boy must have been friends with the boy chief. There were easily three things Cloudjumper could see they had in common. Well, if that were the case, his rider wouldn't enjoy seeing him hassled. The dragon settled back down where he was keeping a watchful eye over the dragon babies in attempts to ignore the winter sprite.

This scent...it was almost unfamiliar to him. Cloudjumper could remember, in his early days, smelling this on the dragon he assumed was his mother - or his father - but he hadn't seen any recently. Especially not on the old Dragon Mountain, where he used to reside with his rider and other dragons.

So, why was the scent so prominent now?
