Mod Auri here, it’s come to my attention that a few people picked up the word “crypic” for some nblnb terminology, and I’d like to step in and clear some things up.
First of all, it’s actually “cypric”. Based on “Cypris”, an epithet of Aphrodite, who was always ready for some old-fashioned gender piracy.

I hate seeing it go around recently without really any way for people to tie it back to me.
Third of all, I coined it when we were still looking for an nblnb term and before we settled on “diamoric”…although I assumed we were trying to find a word that meant “nblnb”, but instead everyone else meant something else, I have no idea.
As for why it never took off, due to drama, I withdrew from the group and told them not to use my word, but I kinda regret it in that cypric was a very good word. I tried pretty hard to come up with something with roots in non-binary heritage.
Also, the diamoric flag was originally made by me for cypric, but I have no real qualms with its current use for diamoric.
Anyway, if you see “crypic” going around, know this stuff. This is also part of diamoric history, which is cool.

Bringing this back since I finally remembered the new flag and spelling were put forth by @garnet-the-stampede and @crystalprideflags –nothing against you two, but I would feel a lot better if this information were acknowledged, kind of because I’d like the credit and kind of because I’m too much of a pedant to let the typo slide. Idk, I would just feel better if this piece of the puzzle were put in place?
