The actual "how do people not know this" issue here is the fact that so many people seem to think BLM sprouted out of nothing after George Floyd's murder rather than that being the most recent instance of a series of highly publicized police killings starting with Trayvon, extending into Ferguson, and then snowballing into the 2020 uprising that now is so often just dismissed as "Woke 1.0"

So things are messy. In a better world this would be a little post about liking someone that lives pretty far away. Instead, it's just some insight into where my head is at right now. Living in the united states puts a damper on things.

It's also a lot more grim than I was intending. Turns out a room getting overtaken by rot really doesn't lend itself to a rendering of joy and whimsy...

Lastly, I know I've been slowing down on posts and things. I will continue to be slow. I might get into other things going on in another post. It's nothing bad, just architecture job stuffs & related work eating quite a lot of time.

But yeah, I'm rambling. If you like someone it can be hard to tell them directly and making art sometimes helps.
