the main reason why ajawnich work so well as a pairing is because both of them have loneliness as a core character trait. kinich has been alienated from his community his entire life, while ajaw is literally the only remaining member of his species. before they met they were in a constant state of solitudine and now they both have a companion that is essentially incapable of leaving their side regardless of how they feel about it
