What’s your fantasy?
I wake up, my debt is all paid off, my bank account is full, my relationships with my family are healthy, and I’m able to travel anywhere in the world.
reblog for this ultimate fantasy life to come true

The best way to fight climate change is to destroy capitalism.
Don’t believe that you are responsible for this. They just want to pass the buck.

Someone said Fat People can't do this on twitter and someone posted this as a response and i think its important people see things like this to know they're just fatphobic and wrong
[X]
I already reblogged this, and originally I wanted to say something but just couldn't find the right words.
So I'll just say this... the only reason you don't see more fat people doing things like this is because of fatphobia. Period.
Sometimes that's a situation where a fat person has developed an unhealthy relationship to exercise because of fatphobia so they just don't do it. Sometimes that's because most people don't want to see fat people doing things like this, so they don't give fat people a chance to show the world what we can do. Sometimes it's because fat people don't want to subject themselves to the abuse that comes with just being seen by the world while fat, so they don't broadcast their talents to a wider audience.
There's honestly a million reasons you don't usually see fat people doing things like this, and absolutely zero of those reasons are because we can't.
My ex-husband is a fat stage combatant. He's been working at Ren Faires and other shows like that since the early 90s.
The first time that a lot of younger directors see him, they want to hand him a big axe and see him move slowly and be big and scary.
Those directors are fucking foolish, and anybody who has worked with him (and the couple of other guys built like him in their local group) knows that.
Yeah, he's fat. You know what else he is? Real fucking fast, and able to fling himself around in ways that some skinnier combatants just can't. He does shoulder rolls and just pops back up to his feet like a fucking Weeble. He's in his mid 50s now and moves as easily as people decades his junior.
One of the things they did for several years during the chess matches when they had both him and another guy who was as fast as him and built like him was a fight they called the Clash of the Titans, bc both John and Matt were big enough to throw each other around the chess board and fast enough to make a rapier fight between the two of them really, really fun to watch. They'd switch weapons 3+ times a fight, run back and forth across the board... the fights were several minutes long and just... incredible.
I miss being able to watch those fights bc John is doing other shit these days, but. My ex is still at it, as long as his joints hold out.
WHAT
OKAY I LOVE THAT

This is a slow fandom zone
None of that "Oh no they bomb-dropped all the episodes in a week 1 month ago, I'm late!" "The tag hasn't been active all week is the fandom dead?" "I only got a hundred shares the first hour no one cares about my art"
Slow down
Take a deep breath and slow down
Fandom is YOU. And me and everyone. If we doodle stick figures for a show that ended 30 years ago we aren't "late" or "doing too little", we're playing dolls in our own time and having fun with works of art that mean a lot to us
You can literally watch and engage with something that aired in 2004 as if it aired yesterday
If the tag hasn't been active for 14 months guess what? If YOU post there, it isn't dead. Literally you can talk about anything you want whenever you want there is no weird law against watching things that people aren't actively talk about
Let's be deranged about stories together
Also, if you feel like the space you're in (let's say Tumblr) don't have a lot of fans of the show you like, build the active fandom yourself! Talk about your fave show! Shitpost about it, gif it, write fanfiction about it, literally do anything you like.
I literally just watched a 10 years old show I had zero clue about cause of my lovely mutuals have been posting stuff about it for months and when I decided I want to watch something that show popped up in my mind like a torch.
Cause I've seen it on Tumblr almost everyday.
And there's some kind of beauty in it. You can lure me into anything if you post about it with passion 😌
You will not use AI to get ideas for your story. You will lie on the floor and have wretched visions like god intended
And jokes aside, creativity is a muscle. You need to exercise it. Relying on something else to "make it easier" in the long term is gonna lead you to a dead end where you will find yourself unable to come up with your own original ideas and I say this, regretfully, from personal experience. Don't automate your imagination folks!
Regarding the first 5 minutes of Vincent’s newest audio: Friendly reminder that Adam was hiding in Lovely’s home waiting to kidnap them, likely watching that whole exchange
The Three Laws of Fandom
If you wish to take part in any fandom, you need to accept and respect these three laws.
If you aren’t able to do that, then you need to realise that your actions are making fandom unsafe for creators. That you are stifling creativity.
Like vaccination, fandom only works if everyone respects these rules. Creators need to be free to make their fanart, fanfics and all other content without fear of being harassed or concern-trolled for their creative choices, no matter whether you happen to like that content or not.
The First Law of Fandom
Don’t Like; Don’t Read (DL;DR)
It is up to you what you see online. It is not anyone else’s place to tell you what you should or should not consume in terms of content; it is not up to anyone else to police the internet so that you do not see things you do not like. At the same time, it is not up to YOU to police fandom to protect yourself or anyone else, real or hypothetical.
There are tools out there to help protect you if you have triggers or squicks. Learn to use them, and to take care of your own mental health. If you are consuming fan-made content and you find that you are disliking it - STOP.
The Second Law of Fandom
Your Kink Is Not My Kink (YKINMK)
Simply put, this means that everyone likes different things. It’s not up to you to determine what creators are allowed to create. It’s not up to you to police fandom.
If you don’t like something, you can post meta about it or create contrarian content yourself, seek to convert other fans to your way of thinking.
But you have no right to say to any creator “I do not like this, therefore you should not create it. Nobody should like this. It should not exist.”
It’s not up to you to decide what other people are allowed to like or not like, to create or not to create. That’s censorship. Don’t do it.
The Third Law of Fandom
Ship And Let Ship (SALS)
Much (though not all) fandom is about shipping. There are as many possible ships as there are fans, maybe more. You may have an OTP (One True Pairing), you may have a NOTP, that pairing that makes you want to barf at the very thought of its existence.
It’s not up to you to police ships or to determine what other people are allowed to ship. Just because you find that one particular ship problematic or disgusting, does not mean that other people are not allowed to explore its possibilities in their fanworks.
You are free to create contrarian content, to write meta about why a particular ship is repulsive, to discuss it endlessly on your private blog with like-minded persons.
It is not appropriate to harass creators about their ships, it is not appropriate to demand they do not create any more fanworks about those ships, or that they create fanwork only in a manner that you deem appropriate.
These three laws add up to the following:
You are not paying for fanworks content, and you have no rights to it other than to choose to consume it, or not consume it. If you do choose to consume it, do not then attack the creator if it wasn’t to your taste. That’s the height of bad manners.
Be courteous in fandom. It makes the whole experience better for all of us.
i know that a lot of people already know this, and that this may come across as condescending to those who do, but it has become increasingly clear to me that many people, particularly younger people, don't understand this but—
purity culture is more then just thinking sex is bad and evil and gross
purity culture is the belief that you can be corrupted, that there is an level of purity that can be tarnished by thinking or doing something deemed sinful or icky and that once you lose that purity, you are lesser then those who have not been "tainted". it's the belief that seeing, thinking, or doing something inherently nonharmful to others will fundamental change you in a negative way
purity culture is watching gory horror movies and being told that you are disgusting for finding it interesting to watch
purity culture is being told that violence in books, movies, games, etcetera will make you violent
purity culture is being told that wanting to hurt someone makes you bad, darkens your heart, whatever, even if they hurt you first, even if you have no plans to ever act on that desire
purity culture is being told to forgive your abuser, rapist, or even just people who have slighted and hurt you or else you will never fully heal, or that it makes you in someway bad too, or even just as bad as them
purity culture is being told that hating someone is equally to killing them, or wanting to kill them
purity culture is when people have intrusive thoughts that scare and harm them that make you uncomfortable, possibly even triggered, and telling them that they secretly want to do, have, etcetera, those things or else they wouldn't be thinking about it
purity culture is being told not to curse because it makes your mouth filthy, makes your heart filthy, makes you mean and bad and unpleasant
purity culture is being told that jealousy, anger, rage, disgust, and other stigmatized emotions are "bad" or "unhealthy" emotions
purity culture is refusing to let youths or even teenagers read or watch potential upsetting books, shows, movies, games, comics, etcetera out of fear they will act them out, become violent, possessed, unruly, etcetera
purity culture is being told that writing, drawing, or just in general making something dark and uncomfortable makes you gross and evil
purity culture is telling you that you have to portray bad things as bad or else people won't under that it's still bad, that it will normalize this bad thing, that people can be corrupted by it because they can't think for themselves whether this bad thing you portrayed as good is not actually good
purity culture is thinking bad things done for good reasons is just as bad as bad things done for bad reasons, like a mother stealing baby formula to keep her child alive versus someone stealing your pet because they wanted it are equally wrong
purity culture is being told that drinking, smoking, being addicted to drugs, unemployed, homeless, makes you lesser and filthy and corrupts you
purity culture is believing that someone wanting to do something bad, but choosing not to do it because they know it's bad, still makes them bad because they still want to do it
purity culture is thinking people getting tattoos, dying their hair, piercing, wearing make up, getting cosmetic surgeries secretly hate themselves and are disrespecting themselves
purity culture is so much more then just sex. it expands so much further then just christian/religious people and communities
purity culture is doing something bad, and when you try to seek atonement or correct the mistake, that it is unforgivable and will alway be a blight on you, even if others can "learn to look past it"
if you think that someone thinking or do something that does not cause any inherent harm makes them lesser, makes them bad, makes them gross, corrupts them or can lead them to corrupting others, you are pushing purity culture
this is coming from a women raised in an extremely sex negative christian household who spent years hating herself and her body due to sex based purity culture being pushed onto her from the age of six due to early puberty by the way, so don't try to gate keep purity culture on this post as only a religious and or sexual thing
ALL. OF. THIS!!!!
#purity culture #antis fuck off #is my usual tag #but for real antis hurt themselves as much as they hurt the people they target #and it’s deeply distressing to me #but there’s just no help you can offer them until they realize how self-destructive their ideas of purity have become
That fic you wrote?
The one about the ship no one else cares about, or the deeply unpopular character, or the extremely unusual AU?
The fic that got no comments or kudos when you posted it?
Months or years from now, that fic might be exactly what someone is looking for in the sea of fics about all the popular characters, ships, and AUs.
Your fic might be the only fic out there that has what someone is looking for. The only fic that scratches the itch that it turns out you and that reader share.
And that's awesome.
