Wat Rong Khun, better known to foreigners as the White Temple, is a contemporary, unconventional, privately-owned art exhibit in the style of a Buddhist temple in Chiang Rai, Thailand.
Chalermchai Kositpipat constructed it and opened it to visitors in 1997.
It kinda looks like santas’ summer residence
Artist Harmonia Rosales Reimagines Classic Works With Black Femininity
Art theft. Don’t copy or Trace.
Deadass art theft. But it’s a black wymyn so it’s “reimaginings”
My thoughts exactly. I’m not saying they’re not good (they are), she’s just not creating anything
it also removes most if not all of the symbolic meaning behind the originals and replaces it with “black wymin do it!! u go girl!!”
god bestowing the divine spark onto adam, the first man? nope, black female empowerment!
aphrodite being born from Uranus’s castration out of sea foam with all the metaphors that entails? nope, more sistahs!
not to mention the sacrilegious erasure of the fucking messiah dying for our sins into some stupid minority female empowerment jack-off.
Imagine someone drawing Muhammad or Buddha as white. Everyone would be up in arms.
But Jesus is okay because he’s a Jew, apparently.
The art is pretty though it strips away the mythological and historical context for woke™ points is abhorrent. Why don’t you paint something inspired by hoodoo, voodoo, Santeria, or Yoruba if you wanted cultural representation? There’s plenty of powerful gods and goddesses in those pantheons. Why are you so afraid of your own gods that you feel the need to erase gods that were never yours in the first place?
It’s all imaginary anyways who cares lol? It’s just a reimagining and it’s not a big deal. Like it’s literally like when someone draws a race bend or a gender bend or draws something slightly lighter than the original art and sjws get all bent outta shape and here you are getting pissy over the exact same nonsense.
It’s just fiction. Get over it. Its hurting no one. Its erasing nothing.
it’s how majority things started. by small minor acts though.
This isn’t even a “minor act” in the sense that it harms anything or anyone. Like… just… calm down. It’s just fiction. Its art. Hurting. No one.
all things horrible started out is “little things that are fictions and not hurting anyone”
All evil acts starts small, and most will ignore it until it’s nearly too late. funny you view this since feminism started out small and “harmless” until it became what it is today.
Rather nib this in the bud before it becomes something worse.
Literally nothing bad happens is everyone believes God is a black woman. Its fucking fiction.
A fiction that has enough power to slaughter thousands of souls. A fiction that has the power to hide the worse of humanity and in some cases celebrate the cruelty of humanity. The art is good ill happily say that. I’m thinking that if black people want to expand there culture then show us there gods and goddess there fiction. Not ours.

Caravaggio (1571 - 1610) Medusa (detail)
Il dipinto è su una superficie convessa, una specie di scudo… La foto non rende l'effetto reale. In ogni caso mi ha sempre colpita questo dipinto. Dunque lo posto! 😂
