'what's the operative for today?' minhyuk asks, his eyes scanning the information for someone other than the usual suspects. he's tired, to say the least, of the light misdemeanours, the naysayers, the pseudo-radicals, people who bandwagon pinning terrascape as the cause of all their ills. isn't this supposed to be paradise? minhyuk supposes there has to be some sort of dissent for it be so. in the garden of eden there was a snake that siphoned doubt from innocence. it's here that he looks for his snake. the woman who left it all behind to stand for cause with faulty foundations. for all he knows, she could be off server and he's playing a losing game. no matter, minhyuk always gets his man. “yeah, hi,” he responds, tone somewhat panicked as he corrects his slouch. he loses grip of the pen he’d been fidgeting with and instinctively moves to pick it up. “it’s jaden. i’m calling about the new patch that allara’s introducing to their server next month.” there’s a punchline somewhere that he’s reluctant to deliver, so he fills the pause by placing his pen almost perfectly parallel to the table’s edge. jaden kisses his teeth and winces, “yeah, so unfortunately, it’s going to mess with compatibility with terra’s API a lot more than we anticipated,” he pauses, follows up with a solution, “maybe we can schedule a meeting for sometime tomorrow? i can tell you more about it and we can try to sort it out.”

hi!! got a few questions because i'm a nosy mouse 🐭 would you happen to have any visual references/inspos on what the belt looks like? ALSO is the panel a physical device? or is it a hologram you can toggle like in wall-e? AND do merits come in cash? or are they purely "electronic"? thank you so much!

don't worry nosy mouse, we've got all the cheese for you! some visual references for the belt can be taken from the show the expanse's asteroid belt here. in general, you can expect the belt to visually look like a mishmash of rundown places that haven't been maintained, with largely makeshift areas to be claimed as homes for those who live on the belt. of course, depending on each region, there may be differences running across the belt as terra is pretty large and the geography would change across the different areas. for example, the region of the belt near southeast asian countries may skew hotter than other belt regions, and the region around the evermall may be filled with more trash and/or discarded goods. as for the panel, we did envision it as a hologram that's projected over their field of vision like this when turned on! because it's a user's personal control panel, it's not something that can be lost, and exists similar to a pop-up menu that's permanently tagged to each user. finally, merits are purely electronic, and don't come in cash! everyone has an electronic account that can be accessed via their panel to pay for items. we hope that answers all your questions, and feel free to drop by if you've got more ♥
