Terri smiled and giggled, with a huge grin on her face she handed him the collage and bourbon, “For you...I had to get someone else to get the bourbon as I’m too young to purchase it myself.” she laughed.

Damon had bought flowers for her that had been

delivered already to her room via Stefan and he had also bought a huge teddy bear for her but that, he was carrying with ease as he walked up the path to the boarding house. He could hear her walking about as he entered, “Terri!” He called, his super speed allowing him to be at her side in seconds. “Happy one year friendship anniversary, Baby-doll!” He couldn’t actually be seen. Just his feet and arms due to the huge stuffed animal but just by the sound of his voice you could tell he was grinning.

Terri looked at the giant bear and laughed, “Oh my God, Damon...that’s one big bear.” she said, “I absolutely love it!” she said and kissed his cheek, “Happy one year of friendship Damon.”

A Year Since She Met Him

Terri was sitting on her bed making a collage of her and Damon, it had been a year since they met and he rescued her, a year later and she liked to spend time with him at the boarding school, she even had her own room, she finished the collage and waited for it to dry before taking that and a bottle of his favourite bourbon to him.

Terri walked up to the boarding house and got out her key, ever since Damon disappeared with Bonnie, she hadn't gone back to the house, but after being away, she returned and let herself in, the place had gathered dust, she decided to do some dusting, when she got to the drinks cupboard, she noticed the half full bottle of bourbon, she got out a glass and poured some out, "Merry Christmas big brother." she said with a cracked voice and drunk it before crying.

"Just hold still Terri." He mumbled as he run his hand through her hair. He didn’t know what to say to her. His lips quickly pressed to her lips to distract her as his free hand yanked out the stake that had been wedged between her ribs. "There." He pulled away and threw the stake to the side. "It’ll heal up in a moment."

Terri cried out a little in pain, then had the shock of her life...Damon kissed her! She was caught in the moment so she didn't move her lips against his, she yelled out in pain and panted once Damon pulled away, "You kissed me."

Damon had forgotten how awful being human was in the winter seasons. He let out a slight whimper as he wiped his nose with the tissue he had concealed in the palm of his hand. The raw skin stung when anything touched it. His chapped lips soon getting burned by the hot drink he sipped on. “Thanks… so supportive and helpful.”
