We’re going to pretend that there is no real language barrier for most of them.  This is in part because I forgot about it lol

Takekura “Musashi” Gen

Doesn’t actually think too much about the fact that you’re foreign.  You’re you, and that’s all he cares about.

He’s a good listener, so he’ll gladly hear you talk about your home.  He’s only been to America once, and it was pure chaos, so it’s nice to hear about the normal things

The best boyfriend to have if you make mistakes with regards to social/cultural norms in Japan without knowing it.  Never makes a big deal about it, and never calls you out in public.  He’ll tell you later, and he has this blasé way of doing it that somehow doesn’t embarrass you?

He’s not good at explanations for things that just are in Japan, but he does his best.

He’s the type that if someone draws attention to your foreigner status he shrugs them off.  If they are being rude about it, well, then the intimidation comes out.  He’s not a small guy.

You usually have to take the lead with him, at least as far as things you want to do.  He’s tired after working all day, so if it was up to him, it would just be cuddle/naptime most of the time

Never adverse to going where you want, even the worst of the tourist spots.  He doesn’t even grumble about it, which has earned a side eye from Hiruma a time or two when he’d been dragged along (somehow, no one is actually sure why or how he got there, Mamori or Kurita are usually the suspected culprits).

Completely fine with PDA, he doesn’t consider your affection, or his, embarrassing, but there is always a hint of pink in his cheeks anyway.

Hiruma Yoichi

Given how much he travelled as a kid, the fact that you are not native to Japan means little to him.

Underwhelming, I know, but he speaks English fairly well, so there are no communication problems, and he really doesn’t see your foreigner status.

It’s mildly inconvenient if you are something like an exchange student, but while Hiruma is a tyrant and can seem inflexible, it’s not true at all.  He adapts well and can change plans on a drop of a hat.  If you think an ocean between you and him is an obstacle, you’d better think again.

Nothing gets in his way if he wants something.

There might be some clashes as far as romantic behavior, since Japanese youth tend to be fairly reserved when it comes to touchy PDAs and the like.  This goes double for him, since he doesn’t really like being touched in general (he melts some for you), and his automatic response negative.

You’ll have to be further into your relationship before he’ll do anything more than walk beside you.  Once you get past the two kilometer (one mile) high wall he puts up around himself, you will be given the privilege of being allowed to hold his hand out and about when he doesn’t need it, and he’ll let you snuggle against him if you’re sitting somewhere together.

If there comes a day when he puts you in his lap to work around you, you’ll know that he trusts you the most and has given you (metaphorically) his heart.

Not that he would ever say so out loud.

Jumonji Kazuki

Somehow, he’s even shyer with you than he is with other girls in school.

He’s somewhat used to being confessed to, it happens all the time, but when it comes to you, he just can’t be as cool as he is with them.

Language barriers stress him out – he’s afraid of saying something offensive by accident, no matter how many times you tell him that won’t happen.  If you speak Japanese, even at a basic level, it’s easier.  As long as the pair of you can get your general points across at the beginnings, it’s okay, and both of you get better as the time goes on.

He lets you lead dates, since let’s face it, you probably have more experience than he does and he doesn’t want to take you somewhere you don’t like.  However, if you ask him to plan something, he always comes through.

Really, he worries for nothing.  He’s perfectly capable of coming up with a date you’ll like.

100% asks Mamori for help though, even though he’s too embarrassed even to look at her.  Lord help him if Suzuha is within earshot.  The whole team will know about it in about five minutes (even if they are scattered.  Suzuha is scary).

Surprisingly, he initiates things like hand holding, and even kisses you first.  He can’t help it, since you’re so cute, and he’s a little impatient. 

His idiot friend’s teasing might play a part.

Habashira Rui

You’re going to have to do all the work to bridge the gap with this one.  He’d never approach you in a million years, even if he liked you.  The fact that your foreign is just another barrier for him.  His self-confidence when it comes to girls is in the negatives.

The type to watch you from afar and pine.  Even though your being foreign is a barrier, he still finds it interesting, which is why he pays attention to you in the first place.

He’s a little jealous by nature, so over time the attention you get starts bothering him, but he’s smart enough to know that it’s really none of his business.  It’s just one more thing to suffer in silence for.

If you start talking to him, he’ll come off as grumpy and short at first – keep at it!  He’s not really, at least not to girls. He may look like a gangster, but he’s actually pretty nice underneath.  He’s just really awkward.

He relaxes the more attempts you make.  He’s hesitant about your attention.  While he’s confident about his skills in most things, talking, especially to girls, he is not.  It’s in the back of his mind that it could be a joke, it wouldn’t be the first time.

Continued attention is highly recommended.  As he becomes more comfortable, he opens up.  He’s very busy with his personal training

Once you start dating he’s pretty sweet.  Listens really well, and learns all your likes and dislikes.  Gives you small presents that always match your taste.  He likes to pick out things you can’t really get in your home country.

Homer Fitzgerald

He’s really keen on meeting you right from the beginning.  He’s extroverted and generally happy and kind.  He’s probably on the front line to greet you.

He finds the fact that you’re from so far fun and he wants to know all about where you come from.  Asks a thousand questions and it’s easy to carried away by the wave of him.

This is a boy that respects boundaries.  No matter what step you’re at, he always asks until you’re comfortable enough for things to just be normal.

Literally the best boyfriend.  He’s enthusiastic about you and he falls hard quickly.  Wants to show you everything exciting in state. 

He’s an active guy, so there might be a lot of outdoor excursions and hikes and the like.  If these aren’t your thing, he can compromise, but he’s going to wheedle you into one or two trips.  He’s proud of his home state of Texas and he wants to share that with you.

He’s fine to laze around too.  Cuddling is his favorite and he could snuggle with you forever.  Willing to watch whatever you want, even or especially movies from your home country.  He sees it as further insight into you

Because he’s used to defending Panther from racism, he’s very sensitive to it.  It’s probably the only time you will see him truly angry.  Racism/xenophobia is a very big NO in his books.  Would fight the world for his babe.

You never explicitly announce your relationship, none of you feel the need, since it’s no one’s business but yours.  Even your friends have to figure it out themselves.

It takes them a while.  For a long time they think just you and Musashi are dating, and that Hiruma tags along sometimes out of boredom.  As I said in the earlier ask, Musashi doesn’t care about others’ opinion about his pda.  He kisses you whenever and wherever he wants when the urge strikes him.

At first this doesn’t bother Hiruma, but it starts to needle him as everyone starts considering you Musashi’s, and mutters about it being weird that Hiruma hangs out with you all the time, even on dates.

Their friends figure it out when Musashi has to go away for a few weeks with his family and it’s just you and Hiruma so you turn all your attention and affection on the blond.  By this point, he’s annoyed enough that he lets you, even reaching back when you were near him.  You never spent more time in his lap and in his space than you did in those two weeks.

Sometimes Hiruma feels distanced or left out.  Won’t admit it though, but one of you always realizes it quickly.  The blond complains about being interrupted and about the increased attention, but really, he’s soaking it up.  He likes to be reminded that he’s loved on occasion.

Domestic tasks inspire some squabbling, because Hiruma is OCD about cleaning, and the other two never do it ‘right’ according to him.  Musashi is the best cook, but often works long hours in hard labor, so feeding the three of you falls on you and Hiruma more often.  Hiruma is fussy though, so will take over cooking, even if it’s your night, leading to fights.

They aren’t serious though, and mostly, you both just like to have something to yell about.  Arguing is challenging and it becomes a game to see who can trip the other up.  Much to Musashi’s despair, since he’s the one that has to listen to it.

There are times when both men just want to be alone with you, without the other one.  At first, you were worried about possible jealousy, but that worry flees quickly.  Neither begrudge the other for it, and they never seem to need to talk about it.  They just know and its never taken personally.

They don’t sleep together without you.  It’s not that they have a problem having sex with each other, it’s just that both would rather you be the focus.

Has only a vague idea what you’re talking about, even if you explain it.  Of course, he can see when you’re in pain, or when your tired, but all the mumbo jumbo that goes along with it?  Not so much

The details don’t really matter to him anyway.  He cares about you, if you need help, he’ll help.

He thinks the way your joints move is kind of awesome and might push the envelope a little when getting you to do it on purpose.  Gets a clue pretty fast if you say something, but you have to say something.  This kid does not do subtle hints or passing references

Will carry you around on his back if needed, or rub your aching limbs, but he’s gonna complain while doing it.  Nothing that makes you feel bad, but he has to let everyone around know that this is an exception and a favor that will cost you.

He is lazy AF tho, so expect a lot of lying around on top of or beside him, tucked into him.  Keeps a surprisingly close eye on you, though will deny it until he’s literally red in the face (hello tsun-tsun!)

Probably knows more about your condition than you do.  Also likely knew you had it, before you got together.  It’s a drive, he has to know everything about the people that interest him.

It’s a little hard for him not to treat you any differently because of it, mostly because he’s hyperaware of you, and thus your health, and he’s more than a little autocratic.  A scolding or two and he’ll try to let it go some, but don’t expect him to back off completely.

He’s a know it all, so you know he’ll have researched the shit out of it, and probably spoken to an expert.  This boy doesn’t do things by halves, and once he’s set on your, the devotion and attention are complete.  He’s a control freak and he wants you to be as healthy as can be.

However, he’s not an idiot either.  He can see the boundaries you place as you place them, and he tries, and is mostly successful, to abide by them and help you maintain them.

Unfortunately, all bets are off if you have an emergency, like you faint or pass out from tiredness, or are too sore to get out of the bed.  Get ready for Ore-sama to come out.  Will keep you in bed or stationary until you’re better, and sees to your care himself.

He’s a yan, so it’s expected.  He always backs off eventually, however, especially if you get upset with him and you are demonstratively better.  Be prepared for a lecture though, and to not have the opportunity to get so bad again for a long time.

He listens to your explanation carefully when he notices the issues you have.  He trusts you to know what’s best for you, and will follow any instructions you give him.

Basically, he just wants to be there for you and help with anything you need.  100% supportive boyfriend, this one.

He might get a little naggy sometimes, if he thinks you’re pushing yourself too hard, especially if he sees obvious signs of discomfort or exhaustion.  He’ll never force you to stop, but he’s pretty good at getting and keeping your attention.  He’s tricksy~

Does things like carry your stuff, and pulling out chairs, and just generally chivalrous things that make your life easier.  It’s painfully obvious to everyone that you are his girlfriend.  Doesn’t even look at anyone else, no matter how many attempts others make at him.

Murasakibara finds it amusing to watch him fuss.  Isn’t the type to go out of his way to help, but Mura will catch you or whatever if Himuro isn’t around.  Might try and test how mobile you are tho, so watch out.

Himuro secretly always hopes you’ll ask him for help, since he likes taking care of you, especially if he gets to touch you.  Innocuous touches are his favorite so he finds ways to touch you, using your condition to his advantage.  Nothing negative or creepy, again, he’s just very supportive and not so secretly wants to spoil you.

Kise Ryouta

The first time he sees a joint do something it’s not supposed to, he panics, especially if there is pain involved.

Once he’s let you in, he’s all in, and cares about every little thing about you.  If your hurting or tired, then he wants to help. Though he wants to help, he’s not always aware when you are having a bad spell, so you’ll have to tell him sometimes

Will blow off modelling gigs if you need him, no matter how many times you scold him.  You are higher in importance than his side job.

He still wants to be babied, he’s just more aware of your condition and so never hangs or whines when you’re not feeling well.

He can get a little impatient if he wants to go out and you’re too tired, he has so little time that he finds it frustrating.  He can’t actually blame you, though, so he plans elaborate home dates instead.  Not really sure what elaborate entails, but he manages.  He’s over the top, so you can imagine

He’s used to being taken care of, not taking care of someone else, but he’s clever so he learns.  It’s even better if you are independent about your condition.  He’s weird, he wants to be needed, but also doesn’t like too much clinging?  Ask him for what you need and he’s absolutely there.

He’s contradictory as well though, because sometimes he just picks you up if you look tired.  Basically, he does what he wants.  He’s like a cat lol

I hope requests are still open, if not, just ignore me. 😊 This is maybe a strange request, but I'm a basic country bumpkin girl and I'm curious as to what your headcanons would be of Hongou, Harada, and Yuki Masashi from DNA would be like as farmers, and how would they react to coming home to their cute little farmhouse after a long hard day to their sweet wife cooking supper?

Admittedly, this is a little strange, but out of the ordinary asks are always welcome!  I will say though (and this is NO judgment on the ask or on you dear anon) something about the phrase ‘sweet wife’ makes my skin crawl lol  It’s definitely a personal squick, I don’t even know why, there’s literally nothing wrong with it?  Ignore my ramblings – sweet wives coming up!

Hongou Masamune

Even farming, this one is a little grumpy.  He treats his farm like he treats baseball in canon.  Serious business, hard work.

We’re going to assume that he has farm hands/employees here, and he works them to the bone.  He’s a fair boss, but tough, and terrifying in some cases.  Still, somehow all the workers love him?  They are rarely that intimidated.

This is because every single person in his life knows that he is 1000% devoted to his wife, and said wife would be displeased if he treated anyone on their staff poorly, and it goes without saying that to disappoint wifey is off limits to anyone.

Not that he would admitted it, and the look one would get if you say such a thing out loud would probably kill you.  Pretends his wife isn’t his whole world, grumbling and complaining when his workers tease him.  Doesn’t actually realize he gives himself away when he visits the house like 10 times a day to check on you.

Steals kisses every time.

He works hard so he likes to be pampered.  Complains about any food but yours.  Always makes you sit down when he eats because he wants to hear you talk and watch and make sure you are eating enough.

His favorite time is when he’s done for the day and he gets to go home.  Lurks for a while, though you know he’s there, because he likes to just watch you scuttle around the kitchen humming.  You’re so cute and lovely it actually causes his heart to ache.

When the ache gets painful enough, he steps into the kitchen and steals you up into his arms, just hugging and snuggling you for as long as he can get away with.

Harada Masatoshi

It’s much easier for Harada to delegate than the other two.  He works really hard, but he has better time management skills in general, so he has more time for himself, and conversely, you.

He’s strict with his time.  Of course, there is a lot of overtime on a farm, since things never go to plan, but somehow he makes these sorts of surprises seem negligible?  He is god tear organization.

He’s probably the calmer one in the relationship, steady and supportive.  For him, there’s no such thing as tasks that are ‘male’ or ‘female’  He will absolutely do housework if it’s needed, and often does just so that you don’t overwork yourself by stretching yourself thin.  Never tells you that you can’t work the farm as well.  However you want to divide the work is fine.

A secret part of him prefers it when you work inside, because then he gets to come home to you and there’s a special satisfaction in that.

He’s affectionate, but in subtle ways.  Fits his style to match yours, like if you want more demonstrative signs of affection, he’ll give you kisses, or initiate touch.  In general, the type to wait for you.  It’s just how he is, but he never disappoints you.

Is gentle and surprisingly soft.  He’ll help you when he comes back to the house, rather than sit down to rest, no matter how often you scold him for it.  He just can’t sit when you’re still working, so always finds needed tasks, even without you telling him.

He will never say it, but if you reward him with a kiss, his whole day is made.

Yuki Masashi

His focus tends to be so singular that he forgets certain things, and takes things for granted.

Things like you.

That’s not to say he isn’t a good husband, or that he doesn’t love you.  Quite the opposite, it’s just that he has a one track mind that makes it hard to deviate from that one track.

If not interrupted, he will continue to think about farm things, even when he’s eating and supposed to be spending time with you.  Of course, you have to know this when you marry him so I imagine that you are well versed in distracting him.

His intense focus is not entirely negative, however.  Once it had shifted to you, you’d better hold on.  He listens very well, and very intently, and takes all of your concerns seriously.

Looks to you for guidance in responses, but over time he learns what he needs to do until it’s instinctual.

Never hides anything from you, no matter how ugly it might be, and considers you his best and closest friend.  He loves your smile, and the soft curve of your cheek and the way you smell when he buries his nose into your neck (quite the challenge given how big he is).

In his mind, your relationship has always been a partnership, no matter the context.  When he comes home, even if he hasn’t snapped out of his work brain yet, he is able to relax, and being near you is all he really wants subconsciously.  Tells you about his day without you asking and has the habit of pulling you into his lap as he sits at the table to do just that.

Sawamura Eijun

This boy is starry-eyed sunshine.  He loves the cheesiest tropes.

Friends to lovers, marriage pact, Rivals, forbidden love, Mistaken declaration of love leads to love, Honorable marriage (typical of historical novels), innocent cohabitation, Destined/soulmate, Return to hometown, protector, love and sports, road trip

Everything he does is cringy and cheesy.  He’s so over the top, it’s impossible to avoid.  I hope you are immune to secondhand embarrassment.  He doesn’t know the meaning of it.

When he’s in love, he’s that boyfriend that talks up his partner to the max and always wants to do the most cliché things together.

Mushy pet names, twinning, goodnight calls, random anniversaries, massive pda (as in the scale, mostly giant hugs no matter where you go).  He’s easy and free and 100% doesn’t care if people laugh at him when it comes to you.  Someone makes fun of you though?  The gloves come off, as it were.

Kominto Haruchiyo

More subdued in his favorite tropes, overall less into romance than the other two.  He likes angst in fiction, but not really in real life lol

Redemption, Dark secret, opposites, Damsel/dude in distress (secretly), Fall in love with the wrong person, Second chance romance/first love, Matchmaker gone wrong, If I can’t have you, nobody will (Ryou’s influence), Is it all as it seems?, Forbidden love, Enemies to lovers, Revenge, Fake relationship

He’s quiet generally (unless dealing with Eijun or on the field), and calm.  Cheesy relationship things are generally not his cup of tea.  He wouldn’t mind if you gave him a reasonable nickname, but don’t expect him to give you one.  Always uses your name respectfully, though not formally.

The only thing he does that could be considered cheesy is save small things from your dates, or things you send him.  He has a book somewhere that is basically the story of your relationship.

Yes, Ryousuke has found it, but even he doesn’t dare to mock him for it.

Furuya Satoru

 Prefers simple plots and fluff.  Blushes sometimes when he reads.  It’s super adorable.

Only got into reading them because Sawamura does, also Jun because Jun is intimidating.  Finds that he likes them after a while.  They make him feel warm.

Pen Pals, Protector, Secret admirer, Secret royal, Mistaken declaration of love leads to love, Stranded, Destined, love at first sight, Second chance romance/first love, Belated love epiphany, Return to hometown, Wallflower, fairytale

He’s too unexperienced to understand cheesy.  To him there are just things he wants to do with you.  They are mostly simple things like hand holding, cuddling, taking naps together.  Don’t underestimate this man’s desire to hold your hand.  Also prone to resting his chin on your head when you are in conversations with others.

Can get a little territorial, but mostly this is only when someone has been monopolizing you.  Also guilty of wanting say goodnight every night so he can hear your voice.  Willing to wear matching clothing.

Beastmaster Ranger

He’s a loner in general, he has his pets, why would he need anyone else?  It’s better to rely on yourself.

This is his self-image anyway, in reality he has friends, and often parties up with them.  Despite his grumpy exterior, he’s actually pretty protective.

Meets you one day while hunting by himself, some mid-low level bounty he could do in his sleep.  That being said, it’s really a fairly dangerous part of the forest, and when he hears a scream, he reacts instantly.  His wolf shoots off ahead of him and starts running.

He’s incredulous when he finds you, a white mage, backed up against a tree with a giant spider rearing over you.

You keep firing spells at it, but they aren’t doing much good, even the seemingly single attack spell you have.  What was a healer doing alone in this part of the woods?  Were you stupid?

Kills the spider handily while his wolf protects and comforts you.  Once he’s done, expect the scolding of your life.  He’s too harsh though, and his pet bites him, cluing him in to your state of duress.

Sighs and shyly holds out his hand, “I’ll take you back… if you really need to go into the forest, I’ll take you tomorrow.”

Basically inseparable after that.  Gets teased by Seto, Kuki and Yui about finding a partner in the middle of the woods, but he doesn’t care much.  He’s the one with the healer, after all.

Shirakawa Katsuyuki

Shadow/Assassin Rogue

He prefers the quiet stillness of the shadows, watching where no one could see him.  He embodies his class, moving like a shadow.  Has a perfect kill record.

He notices you long before you notice him.  You don’t even notice him, even if you pass by him several times. 

He prefers to watch and study from a distance before making any moves.  He’s not sure what it is about you that is interesting, but you quickly have his attention, and then suddenly you are everywhere.

Knows your class on sight, healers, especially ones that work with holy magic, have a kind of shine to them that sets them apart.  You’re basically his antithesis.

He probably wouldn’t have ever approached you, except Mei somehow got a hold of you and tried to force you into their group.  Grudgingly admits that finds you interesting and dislikes the idea of you being forced to do anything.

Thus, your first meeting with Shirakawa is the sight of his foot slamming into Mei’s ass, sending him sprawling into the near-mud of the yard of the tavern.  Snaps at Mei for accosting innocent healers.

Touch his arm, smile at him and thank him and that’s the end of the distance between you.

Takigawa Chris

Cleric/Battle Priest

Chris and his group find you passed out at the entrance of a cave known to house dark creatures.  It’s probably a miracle you haven’t been dragged away and eaten.

You don’t have any belongings and your weapon is broken.  Chris is horrified and drops everything to start casting status and healing spells.  He’s a fairly big guy in plate armor so when you finally wake up and he’s so close to you, there is definitely shock, fear and confusion.

He’s too gentle and kind to be afraid of, as you quickly discover (his group, less so, since Yuki is severe without meaning to be, Jun is perpetually angry, and Ryou is… well he’s Ryou).

Let’s be honest, in this situation, being rescued by Chris, who wouldn’t start to crush?

Gives up their job for the day to carry you back to town.  Stays with you to make sure the guards know what happened.  Turns out, you were with a random group who needed a healer, but when you were weak from all the healing you had to do (they sucked) they just left you for dead and took all your stuff and the reward.

Being Chris, he can’t really leave it alone and stays worried about you.  Plus you bonded on the trip back (he carried you) and he likes you.  He’s adorably shy about it, but he asks if you want to join their group for a while to regain your confidence.  Offers to teach you more spells, but this is purely a ploy to spend time with you.

A couple days after the incident a sheepish Chris and a smirking Ryou surprise you with your belongings, as well the entire reward for the job you finished.

Narumiya Mei

Templar/Inquisitor

This boy shines like the sun, making it obvious to literally everyone that sees him that he’s a holy magic drenched warrior, also known as a Templar/Inquisitor.  Judgey AF, righteous and justice oriented.

That being said, he’s got a good heart, and so while being often tempted to smite everything dark, criminal, evil, or just random people who glare at him, he doesn’t smite everything he dislikes.  Harada, his mentor, did beat some manners into his head after all.

He’s loud enough that everyone knows who he is, including you.  Being a druid healer, you prefer the quiet of the forest and he’s everything bright and loud so you avoid him at first.

Once he has you in his sights though… it’s impossible to escape.  He thinks your super cute, and since his group lacks a proper healer (he can heal a little bit, and Itsuki knows only a few spells) he starts bothering you about joining his group.  This one is neither subtle nor shy.

You eventually give in, mostly because you don’t have a group and doing jobs is difficult by yourself, but also there wasn’t anymore point in fighting with him about it.  He got even more excited when you argued with him.  The one time you put him in a root bind, you swore you saw hearts in his eyes.  (It was definitely because of your strength and the strength of your magic)

Once you were closer to him, you realize that he’s not nearly so braggy and self-centered as he seems to be on the surface, and can actually be quite kind, but always in a roundabout way, like he can’t be seen being kind, but still wants to be anyway.

He 100% falls for you first.

Sanada Shunpei

Thief/Bard Rogue

Normally, he doesn’t target ladies, especially ones that work for a living.  But the charm hanging from your belt is just too tempting and he spent all his money drinking… besides, you were a healer and there was always work for healers, you could afford to help him out, right?

Realizes it was a mistake the moment his fingertips touch the jeweled gold charm.  Pain explodes in his hand and races up his arm.  To his horror, spidery veins of light crawl over his hand and wrist, and he could feel them climbing further.

What the hell.

“Oh dear, I hope your arm doesn’t fall off.”

Sanada is not man that is easily rattled, but when he looked up and found your decidedly unimpressed face glaring at him he is shooketh

You’re so attractive, he thinks, more than even him, and he used his looks for his profession.  He didn’t have magic as you did, but even he could feel your aura and it was a little overwhelming to be honest…

“Ah, surely you can find it in your heart to forgive?” He knows he’s begging, wheedling even, but damn, his arm hurts like hell!  What was pride next to a functional arm?

He’s impressed by the way you scoff and the way your eyebrow lifts sardonically, as if his pain means nothing to you.  Aren’t you supposed to be a healer?

“I’m not the one that touched a light relic without the proper magic.”

The comment is cruel, but to his relief, you summon magic to your fingers and touch his cursed hand.  The pain disappeared in an instant.

He knows he’s in trouble when you smile sweetly at him.  Doesn’t even care, he’s all for diving head first.

Furuya and Haru are so much alike lol  In everything really.  Someone has a type~

Furuya Satoru

Normally, he’s not particularly jealous.  Most of the time, he doesn’t even notice if someone tries to flirt with you unless attention is called to it.  In those cases, all he really has to do is stand behind you and just sort of loom with an icy look on his face.  He’s not a man of many words, after all, and jealousy is exhausting

However, when it was Sawamura you leaned on, and worse fell asleep on, it’s full on annoyed grumpy boy.  100% forces Sawamura to move when he sits between you and him.  Of course, this wakes you up, especially since his rival starts squawking.

(Sawamura is not a threat, he respects Furuya’s relationship with you, and it didn’t even occur to him that his friend/rival would have a problem with it.)

It probably takes you a few moments to get your baring, but when you notice how squished you feel and how he’s pressed right up against you likely start getting the idea.

It helps that he’s pouting and he immediately wraps his arms around you and buries his face into your neck.  Even grumpy, his sullen mutter of “Fall asleep on me,” is really adorable.

Nanase Haruka

It happens at a shared practice with Samezuka.

He’s too focus on swimming and improving his time to notice.  It takes one of the guys from Samezuka calling out a jeer, for him to realize that you had flopped against Yamazaki Sousuke’s shoulder, and that you looked quite comfortable in that position.

He doesn’t consider himself a jealous person, but there were two things that could cause the ugly, panicky emotion to roar through him – swimming and you

He doesn’t like it.  Not at all.  It is somehow worse because it’s Yamazaki, and he already has very mixed feelings towards him

You’re the only thing that can pull him out of the pool when he’s focused.  Said focus is definitely shattered now, and his strides are long and quick.  The space between the pool ladder and the bench you are on disappears quickly

Being awake, of course Sousuke see’s him first and his eyes roll before even reaches them.

There are a lot of things going through Haru’s mind, but most are incoherent.  All Sousuke gets is a narrow, cold look and Haru scoops you up and away from the other boy

You are thus woken very abruptly, and immediately start complaining, “Ugh, Haru, you’re all wet, what are you doing?”

The emotional chaos makes Haru snap, but in that specific Haru way that rarely actually sounds like anything in particular.  “If you’re going to sleep, go home.”

He gives you a tight squeeze and huffs, before setting you down and going back to the pool.

How you react is up to you, but know that there are ruffled feathers that need to be smoothed down before the day is over.

Yamamoto Onihei

By far the most mature of the three, he handles it pretty well.  Does he like it?  No, absolutely not.  But he doesn’t want to upset you by voicing his jealousy either.

It doesn’t matter to him who it is you fall asleep on – friend or rival, it doesn’t matter.  It only matters that it’s not him

Doesn’t understand why you would fall asleep in the first place, you never do normally.  If you get bored watching his practice, you either work on homework or you go off to do something else.  He’s always secretly sad when you do though.  He likes to show off for you just a bit, since he’s more confident on the field than anywhere else

He waits until practice ends, but his concentration just isn’t what it was before he noticed you asleep on his injured teammate’s shoulder.  He starts making mistakes and it’s kind of embarrassing.

Practice seems so long after it, and so once it ends he heads straight for you, trying to keep all irritation off his face.  He knows jealousy is not cool and doesn’t want to be that guy.

Fortunately, the teammate realizes the predicament immediately and vacates the bench, carefully handing custody and support over to him

He sighs and pats your head, rumbling “What am I going to do with you?”

Definitely carries you home if you don’t wake up.

Mima Souichirou

Has no idea what he’s doing, but knows he’s supposed to plan something.

He’s not great with verbal communication, not even with you, so he writes his thoughts down and does a lot of research on proposals.

Doesn’t want to be cliché or do anything you would find upsetting.  He’s not great with romance, but bless his heart, he tries.

He focuses on the little things, the little details of your relationship and comes up with something that’s more fluffy than exciting.  He’s an outdoorsy type, so he takes you to the tree in the foresty park you went to on your first date.

Unlike that date, however, it was early October and so it was a little chilly.  He would have preferred to do it in the summer, but professional baseball kept far too busy for something like this.

The proposal is simple – after you eat the soup and onigiri he’s brought for the picnic, he let you pour the tea while he pulls the small ring box from his pocket, keeping it hidden in his hand and sleeve until the right moment.

He loves listening to you chatter.  He can converse reasonably well, of course, but sometimes he just wants to listen.  After a few minutes of chatter, he sets his tea down, then takes yours to set aside and grabs your hand.

Is almost comically serious, and any other person would probably think he was about to deliver bad news.  It’s the nerves.  When you just smile at him, he takes a deep breath and lets himself relax enough to soften.

He kisses the back of your hand, like a prince in a story (and let’s face it, he looks like a prince), and while you are looking at him, maneuvers the ring so that the box is open and he’s holding it out for you.  “Will you be my wife?”

Of your answer is yes, and he accepts all your enthusiasm, even if you knock him backwards onto his back and cover him.  It doesn’t matter to him, and he more than welcomes your passionate kisses and words of praise.

Hongou Masamune

To be honest, he probably doesn’t even think about marriage until someone brings it up.  He gets hyperfocused, and it’s generally on his career.  He can be a little insensitive at times, and he definitely takes things for granted.

However, when Renji points out that he’d been in a relationship with for a long time and that you were a saint for putting up with him for so long, he actually stops to listen.  Of course, he doesn’t understand what his best friend is getting at, but at least he knows to ask now.

He gets really still when Renji tells him that normal couples would be long married by now, maybe even with children.  Not that other people matter, but had he ever stopped to think what you wanted?

He hasn’t.

After that, the idea consumes him.  He’s angry at himself that he didn’t think of it, and a little annoyed at you for never mentioning it.  You aren’t shy about telling him what you want (how could you be?  He’d never get it), but he knows too that you don’t like to push him too much, especially when it came to your relationship.

The obsession grows, and he starts to watch you.  Starts to pay attention.  You aren’t obvious at all, much to his further annoyance, but he starts to see little things, small moments of irritation or sadness.  You flinch whenever anyone asks you about marriage and kids.

He’s definitely not ready for brats, but once he actually considers it, he finds that he wants to see you wearing his ring now.  He’s possessive and a little jealous by nature, so everything sort of feeds into that attitude and his classic impatience kicks in.

It’s not even a special moment.  It’s just so typical Masamune that you will laugh later when you retell the story.

You are just standing in the kitchen, scrolling through recipes on your phone, trying to decide what to make for dinner when the front door blows open with a loud bang.  You jump, but it’s not exactly abnormal for Masamune.

Appears in the kitchen doorway and dark, pretty eyes zero in on you.  Pins you against the counter before you even know what’s happening.

“Marry me.” He barks.

He doesn’t believe in wasting time or playing games.  He wants to know something, he demands to know.  Even now, his question was more like a command than anything else.

Don’t bother questioning him about why now, or how he’d come up with the idea.  He won’t tell you.  Maybe later.

If you take too long to answer, you get to see the very, very rare sight of his confidence faltering.  His heavy brow furrows, and fear touches his gaze.  “Marry me…please?”

Please go easy on this man, he did his best.

I tried to keep these as in character (my interpretation of course) as possible, while also honoring the spirit of the ask. Hopefully it worked!

Akashi Seijuro

He’s confused at first, but only for the span of about three seconds.  Looking at your hopeful face, with your pretty blush, tells him everything he needs to know.

He gives you the softest smile.  It’s the kind of smile literally no one gets to see.  He’s very polite, but he kisses your forehead and runs his fingertips down your jaw.

Depending on how many you give him, he’ll keep one on him and put the rest in some kind of vase.  The majority go on his desk in the student council room.

The one he keeps, he carefully trims so that it fits through a button hole on his school jacket.  Wears it without shame and then presses it when he gets back to his dorm.

God help anyone who so much as gives it a look.

Aomine Daiki

He stares at the flowers like they are going to bite him.  At first, he doesn’t even realize you’re trying to give them to him, and when he gets it, he starts to turn red around the edges.

What the fuck, ____-chan?

A lot of bluster, and a fair amount of grumbling lectures about how guys don’t want flowers, etc.  However, if you tell him you’ll take them back in that case, he gets defensive and annoyed.  Absolutely snatches them from you the moment you start to pull away.

Those are mine.

Outwardly he’s grumpy and embarrassed about it, but inside his stomach is doing flips.  He’s torn between his ‘masculinity’ and the fact that you’d given him something, especially something that reminds him of you.

Won’t wear them or anything, but secretly asks Satsuki to teach him how to preserve them.  Also clumsily jams one in your hair, if you are wearing it up.  If you aren’t, then don’t rule out it going in your cleavage instead lol

Kise Ryouta

He squeals.  Like literally squeals like a little girl.  He flushes, but he’s too busy grinning and smelling the flowers to notice or care.

He is effusive with his praise.  Really, somehow makes it about you and how you are the best, most beautiful, amazing girlfriend in the entire world.

He’s the only one of them that appreciates them for what they are.  He likes flowers and thinks they suit him.  He’ll probably spend a break with you in his lap, weaving the flowers into crowns for both of you.

Doesn’t want to take it off and gets scolded by teachers until he does.  Knows better than to try to wear it during practice.  But he demands a date after practice and will be elated you match as you end up at a dessert café or something.

Anyone tries to laugh at either of you?  Well, you learn then that he’s not always the cheerful, bubbly young man you love.

Murasakibara Atsushi

Has absolutely no idea what to do with flowers.  Thus, he has no idea how to respond.

Has a tendency to speak and react without actually thinking, so the chances of hurt feelings are pretty good.  He holds them like they are going to bite him and frowns.  Why?

He does think he would have rather had something yummy.

He’s not that slow, especially when it comes to you, so he sees your disappointment right away.

A bit pouty, but he makes up for his poor reaction.  Being the handsy sort, he probably picks you up so he can kiss you without bending so far.  It’s one armed too, since he’s still holding the flowers in his other hand.

Mutters a thank you between kisses and nuzzles, and then, of course, demands Buy me something yummy?

It seems like he doesn’t care about the flowers, but he has them in his dorm on display and gets sad when they start to wilt.  Himuro helps him preserve a couple of them.

Midorima Shintarou

Dies.  That’s it, he just falls over dead in front of you.

Jk, but he is dying inside.  Blushes brightly, but that’s the only indication of emotions on him.  A lot of fiddling with his glasses ensues.

Has no idea why you would get him flowers, maybe if they were his lucky item, but as it happened, they were not.  Will demand an explanation.

Takes them grudgingly, because he’s a tsuntsun and god forbid he actually say what her feels.  You can see how flattered and happy his, however, by the way he fusses with them and treats them very carefully.  He even thanks you shyly.  There’s embarrassment, but he’s very soft in that moment and will actually reach out to hold your hand.

As embarrassing as it is to receive flowers, he’s secretly happy, behind the bluster.  He feels special, after all, how many boyfriends could say their girlfriends gave them flowers?

Kuroko Tetsuya

Is a bit confused for a moment, but he smiles at you right away and thanks you in his quiet way.

He used to help his mom with her garden, so he knows how to take care of them.  Bonus points if you got him living flowers, they would sit in a place of pride on his desk.

The gift brings you closer.  He doesn’t expect things, even when he buys you little things because they make him think of you, so when you do give him something it tickles him pink and he treasures whatever it is.

If any of his friends try to tease him, he gives them his deadpanned stare and asks in a completely straight voice What did your girlfriend get you?

Knowing full well that none of them have girlfriends.  He’s savage when he wants to be.

He knows how to save flowers, and so he does.  He eventually puts one in a frame so it’s like having them on his desk forever.

I just wanted to let you know that all asks from the previous opening are now written and will be posted every other day until March 5th, which is last of them

There are quite a few asks that came in when the box was not open. Because the next opening will be much smaller, all of these asks will be deleted.

The interminable wait is over! All of the asks are written, now I will post. I don't know when I'll open the ask box, since I really struggled to get these done, but I do hope to open it fairly soon for a much smaller intake.

Miyuki Kazuya

It turns out that getting you to go out with him was easier than actually being in a relationship.

He’s a bit prickly and he’s not good at connecting with others.  Real social interaction is a challenge and he’s pretty clueless.  He puts in the effort, but feels really awkward with everything.  Tries to go it by himself but doesn’t feel like he’s making any progress so he reluctantly asks his friends.

Not that they know anything, they’re baseball idiots too.  But they brainstorm and come up with the usual cliché things he can actually do. 

He gives you as much of his time as he can, walks you to class or to your club, buys you snacks or drinks.  Listens to what you say and does preliminary research into the things you like.  Patience will be the key here, and being open and honest.  He needs help lol

Takigawa Chris Yuu

He’s nervous, but reasonably confident.  He’s a little shy, but he stretches his wings a bit to try to get you to like him.  Nothing too obvious, but it’s there.

Homework help for sure.  If you don’t need help, then he’ll feign needing yours.  To him, it’s a reasonable way to spend time together without being obvious or making things weird if you don’t like him back.

Definitely goes out of his way to learn about your interests, so he can something to talk to you about that isn’t related to school.  Whether he shares the likes or not, he makes an effort.

Attention is his best weapon.  When his singular focus is centered on you, you feel it.  Despite being subtle, he’s pretty obvious to anyone who knows him.  Ryou undoubtedly pokes at him.

It’s probably not surprising that he can be rather romantic.  He’s a nurturing kind of boy, so it’s not hard for him to come up with ways to pamper you that won’t push or embarrass you.  He’s very sensitive to your feelings.

Sanada Shunpei

Okay so, will he actually have to put in a special effort to win you over?  He has everything going for him – good looks, sense of humor, surprisingly sweet, maybe a little goofy…

I don’t think he does anything special, but he’s a good boyfriend.  He texts you all day, checking in, but also sending you amusing and cute things like memes and baby animal pictures.  As you get closer, he will probably start venting out baseball things to you – this is a sign of intimacy, because he generally doesn’t say anything unless he trusts the other person

Always buying you tiny little gifts.  Little keychains, plushies, figures, candy, food, even if you tell him he doesn’t have to, he keeps doing it, mostly because these little items make him think of you.

Secretly buys a second copy sometimes and hides it in his room so he can feel extra connected to you.

Okumura Koushu

1000% struggles to figure out how to talk to you in the first place, let alone ask you out.  He’s pretty shy when it comes toother people when baseball isn’t involved.  Especially with girls, since he has 0 experience with them, except from them giggling around him which annoys him greatly.

He probably notices you in the first place because you aren’t one of those girls.  You acknowledge him, and smile at him, but you are never over the top, or make him feel awkward.

Seto’s advice is garbage, but somehow Yui’s isn’t?  Koushuu probably would have ignored him too, except he sees how popular he is with girls and the fact that he can talk to them easily.

He starts small, just by talking to you, generally about school, since he’s awkward and doesn’t know what to talk about.  After a few suggestions his conversation expands and as he gets more comfortable he’s a lot less awkward.  His conversation is intelligent, and he’s unintentionally funny in a dry way

By the time he asks you out, you are pretty good friends, and he trusts you.  The step over the line to more than friends isn’t as hard as he expected.  The biggest thing he does to continue to win you over is give you time.  His time is so limited, but every extra second he has goes to you, even if it’s just messaging or phone calls.

Kuramochi Youichi

He’s very earnest and really cool?  He’s good with girls, despite his inexperience.  One could argue that he’s cooler when talking to girls than he is with anyone else

He’s very enthusiastic.  He talks to you about everything, and discusses decisions with you.  You’re not a dick like Kazuya, and have much better sense.  It’s kind of funny, since he, like many of his teammates, don’t do communication that well in general, but with you?  He’s somehow a pro? 

Never lets things fester or sit, and fixes things immediately.  Makes you feel like you can tell him anything and he’s always there to listen to you.

Creates opportunities to do things together, which can be hard on a boarding school campus.  Take turns coming up with the activity, which leads to you learning about baseball, and maybe video games/wrestling (if you don’t already know), likewise he learns how to do the things you like.  Keeps trying no matter how terrible he is at it.

This boy cuddles, so I hope you are okay with that.  Always respectful, but he loves nothing better than to have you in his lap and arms snuggling while you do whatever it is you are doing together.

Mima Souichirou

He’s so intense that he often comes off as scary, nothing could be farther from the truth, however.

He’s sweet and polite and very considerate of his girlfriend.  He’s very focused on baseball so it takes him a little bit to adjust to having to reorganize his time.  It’s a transition, so there is a bit of a rough patch, but he tries really hard.

He’s good at compromise, and he’s pragmatic.  There’s no unnecessary fights with him, even if you get angry, he remains calm and listens.  He’s very good at calming you down

Is very blunt, but also the softest boy too?  Despite his tendency towards bluntness, he’s sensitive.  Is always there when you need him, no matter what.  Likes to take walks with you, and to hold your hand.

His favorite it taking you to the forest for a picnic.  Is unintentionally very romantic lol He doesn’t think about things like that, he just thinks about what you both might like.  He very much values your alone time

Often buries his face into the juncture of your neck and shoulder and just inhales.  You smell so much nicer than his teammates.

Wait.. What. What happened. You're divorced? You don't have to answer this if you're uncomfortable.

Well, we're common law married, so no divorce, but we've separated. Amicably enough that we will continue living together and being close friends, just not romantic partners anymore. There are incompatibilities on both sides, and things had been hard for a while.

Everything of ours is still entwined and with the rent in our city it makes more sense to continue living together.

It was me that was wronged, but anger only hurts me and we're still dear to each other. It's very sad and will be a transition, but I'm hopeful that things will actually be better between us going forward :)

It's been a rough several months, including severe illness and my husband of 13 years breaking it off with me on Sunday.

I'm okay, not suffering too much, it just means I'm super busy. I will finish posting everything soon I hope, I just wanted to let you know I wasn't dead.
