hey i have a quick question it may sound dumb lol but how do you get the basement to be exposed like you did in this build: https://www.tumblr.com/kepkosim/794141968460660736/remade-one-of-the-buildings-from-the-last-post?source=share without the terrain tool leaving a gap between the terrain and the house? and the retaining walls on the driveway are those cc or are they just walls?

hii!! not a dumb question at all! I made a simple plane object using the texture of k-hippies del sol valley grass and used it to cover up the gap if that makes sense 🙂‍↕️ the walls in the driveway are just debug walls placed using t.o.o.l.!

Hi anon,

Two reasons that I know of:

You're not using the addon version of ReShade, which can interfere with the depth buffer. If that's the case, install the addon version instead

Have you edited your graphicsrules.sgr file, and/or are you using my Shadows for Days mod? It's been a while since I made any changes, but I seem to remember that certain changes to clipping distances in Simp4Sims' sgr file caused issues with mxao when the camera moved, and it required different settings when using my Shadows for Days mod. I do have those settings listed on my mod page though, so you should have seen them. And if you're not using Shadows for Days, I'm not sure if mxao can act like that with a modified sgr file anyway, but that's something I'd troubleshoot by going back to a vanilla version of the file to see if it fixes it, and you can go from there.
