When I was at the natural history museum, the fossil section had stickers on the glass to engage children - things like "Flap your arms like a pterodactyl" or "Measure your hand against the mosasaurus." However the first of these I encountered, which I found alarming and threatening without context, was a sticker reading "Struggle like you are stuck in a tar pit"

I feel like more bright colors, an exclamation mark, or a more whimsical font choice would've also helped here to indicate that it is a Fun Activity For Children. Instead it felt like getting instructed in my inevitable fate by a road sign

Just some unnecessarily long winded whining hello

not really my day, I was prepared for it to be kind of a pain in the ass bc it was the first day of a new location and set of tasks but it was wooorse. first I had to waste time scraping out miniscule bits of glass from inside a dishwasher bc a glass had seemingly shattered on its own (which I suspect is bc these people don't seem to know not to pour cold water into newly washed and piping hot glassware 🫩), then at the new place I have to use my least fucking favourite cleaning cupboard to date, the size of a chest freezer, half of it taken up by a washing machine.... Also just in general, in most locations I've worked at I've thought 'man I didnt know I signed up to clean at a kindergarten' bc of how these highly educated adults carry themselves. and I wonder if they live like this at home? do you eat your very, very juicy orange straight off the table there too? or leave lengths of toilet paper on the floor? how do you even get shit on top of the seat? do you hate your coworkers so much you don't mind leaving a mess for them to deal with until a cleaner gets to it? isn't that embarrassing or is it just me? jesus christ. also please don't do your doomscrolling in the bathroom I need to clean that

anyway after work I have to run like a kilometer to catch the bus or wait an hour for the next one, only for it to not pick up the people clearly visible at the bus stop 🫩🫩🫩 this was the first stop of the route. I want to give bus drivers some slack bc the job is kinda tough and thankless but I was pissed enough to write a complaint. thought fuck it I'm trying an e scooter for the first time and if I fucking crash and die it's your fault. didn't crash and die but the scooter was pretty neat though I would definitely prefer to wear at least a helmet
