“Daaaaaaash.” She mimicked his voice and laughed. “You’re just going to have to give up and admit you love it. You’re not my first pre-adult child.” She pressed one last kiss to part of his forehead she could reach, then grinned up at her husband. “I think he’ll eventually get it. Repetition should help I think,” she smirked. “We just have to ambush him more often. Don’t you agree?”
“I agree.” Richard was now chuckling as he pulled away from the pair of them. “I thought I smelled cookies, so I am going to indulge myself.” He pat the kid on the back once more. “Have fun with the rest of your training.”
“We will.” Dash grumbled as he finally managed to pull out of her arms. “Maybe you teach me one more thing and then we call it a night?” His face was still read, obviously a little embarrassed.
“That’s fine...” She tilted her head a bit. “Dash. You know that you’re amazing right? And you should never actually have to feel embarrassed. Okay? Not even me and my overly mushy behaviors,” she smiled at him. She bent down to pick up the discarded mitt. “Is there something important you want to learn or should we keep going where we left off?”
