Throughout weekend one of Coachella, multiple concertgoers claimed the pair had publicly shown affection for one another — with paparazzi pictures even revealing them kissing. While multiple sources downplayed the idea of ‘Shamila’ round two to various outlets — assuring the kiss was “one-off” — an Australian journalist currently holidaying in Los Angeles has spotted them embracing in Venice Beach. She shared with BAZAAR exclusive imagery and details about their beachside rendezvous, alleging the pair seemed very much “in love.” Here’s what we know.
Are Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes back together?
All signs are pointing to yes. Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes were photographed walking down Los Angeles’ iconic Santa Monica boulevard on April 19 hand-in-hand. Australian journalist Jessica Rendall exclusively told BAZAAR she spotted the pair near Santa Monica pier while holidaying with friends.
“My jaw instantly dropped and he laughed and nodded at my reaction to seeing them together,” Rendall recalled to BAZAAR. Previously, insiders told Page Six Cabello and Mendes “remain friends” and “aren’t dating” following their time together at Coachella.
“They were holding hands pretty tightly and seemed very snug and in love,” Rendall continued to BAZAAR. “They were deep in conversation about something so I didn’t want to stop them and ask for a photo.”
After the duo passed her, Rendall turned to her friends who had also witnessed their reunion. Naturally, the travellers quickly whipped out their phones for a video.
“I could not believe my eyes! Our first LA celebrity sighting and it was them!! Freshly back together after Coachella!”
The news follows Cabello and Mendes’ Palm Springs pash, which also saw a paparazzi video of them seemingly confirming they’re back together. In the clip, Mendes can be seen trailing behind Cabello as someone behind the camera asks the ‘Havana’ singer, “Camila, are you guys back together?” to which she mumbles, “Yes,” before saying it louder a second time.
Seems like it’s only a matter of time before we hear confirmation of Shamila’s return. Our bet’s on a glamorous debut at the 2023 Met Gala.
