skyla vang moves into windenburg in her freshman year of high school as the new girl. her and her mother are very poor due to a divorce costing them lots of money, so skyla wants to help out. her plan is to get famous as a teenager through her musical and acting talent and make as many friends as possible to help support her along the way. she doesn’t really fit in quite yet, but she’s hoping for a kickstarter. sara vang, her mother, is also starting off as a businesswoman to try and get to the top of the company and be better of than she ever was with her husband.
