Kalela blinked as he placed his jacket around her shoulders, feeling butterflies flutter in the pit of her stomach. “Won’t you be cold, though?” otherwise she didn’t resist, because his jacket was warm with his body heat and smelled like him, and it was making her a little weak in the knees. She thinks she might topple over, but scooted closer to him regardless when he laced their fingers together, gently resting her head on his shoulder. “Oh yeah, I did say that, huh? Well, I guess we’ll see how I manage compared to you, then.” she smiled, keeping close to him as they made their way up the walkway of the house. Parties didn’t make Kalela anxious, they never had. But she kept close to him anyways as they pushed their way inside. People immediately greeted Christian, and when they recognized Kalela they would say hi to her, too, but that wasn’t often. Still, she stayed attached to him, not wanting to get separated so soon after they’d gotten there. Plus, he was being super cute and Kalela didn’t know quite what to make of it.
“Nah, I mean, we’re going inside in like a minute it’s probably fucking hot in there.” An exaggeration, but was probably really warm in there considering the amount of bodies piling in. A smile twitched the corner of his lips when Kalela rested her head on his shoulders, quite pleased with how he was slowly gaining her trust again, but he felt a tad confused when he felt something stir in his chest only to ignore it, excusing it for the after-game hype he was feeling. “Yeah? I’ll fix you up a drink when we get in there.” Upon entering the place people were already saying hello to him, greeting him and he bumped fist with the ones nearer to him since he didn’t want to let go of Kalela’s hand. Which is odd considering he already would’ve but -- it’s for show, it’s all for show. He led her to the kitchen, a grin immediately appearing on his face as he saw a couple of his teammates, the ones that actually know how to play and don’t half-ass it. “Oh, shit, yeah I wan’t you to meet someone - this is Kalela,” Christian tugged at her hand a bit, moving so they can meet her. One of the player’s raised an eyebrow, devilish smile appearing on his face. He’s the one who called the bet. “Kalela. We know all about you, Chris here won’t shut up about the pretty girl in the stands.” And the way he said it caused Christian to poke his tongue into his cheek, raising his own eyebrows and feeling a little --- un-amused.
“Right -- well, anyway I’ll see you guys around.” With that being said, he gave them a rather forced smile deciding to maybe not talk to them during the night, feeling like Elias is gonna blow the whole stunt up especially since he doesn’t know what patience is. He took her to the other counter, quietly thanking whatever force caused his teammates to leave the room. He let go of her hand to grab a cup, looking at the bottles in front of him and back at Kalela, “Scotch, vodka or rum?”
