Chat ima be honest I don't get the caitvi jail scene. Obviously spoilers ahead

It just felt like forced fan service?? If you cut it out, nothing would've changed. And I'm not saying that just to be a hater either. If you cut out Caitlyns whole thing with Maddie, then it completely removes that extra layer to Maddies betrayal. That was important. If you cut out the jail scene?? Nothing.

Also I find it so weird that they put so much emphasis on Vi doing everything to protect her family, only for her to fuck her girlfriend IN the cell once it's unlocked rather than GOING AFTER HER SISTER? Like, wow, okay, whatever you say Vi!!

I'm ranting about this here because everybody I know who watched Arcane loved it, and I just don't get it. "Canon lesbians!" They've BEEN canon!! This isn't new! The fact that they fucked changes absolutely NOTHING and it adds nothing of merit to the story. The only thing that changed is that there's suddenly a load of fans happy because they got their fan service. That's it! It would have worked if it had just fit into the story better, but it just?? Didn't really?? And it's fine! But it's not nearly as exciting as I've seen people make it out to be.
