The marginalization of LGBT people, especially ones of color, is a large attribute to sex work because they cannot get “real jobs” and don’t want to starve. Remember both of these things.

saying ‘LGBT people, especially ones of color” when this post is clearly talking about Black transgender people reminds me of when people say “women of color” when an issue/news item is clearly about black women

Statistics prove it’s black transgender folks that are the poorest, it’s black transgender folks that are getting killed the most. It’s black transgender folks that have the highest recorded numbers of sexual assault. Focusing on services for black transgender folks benefits us all.

but stay in your “this is an issue for all, especially *sub group that is still not naming specific group most affected*” lane while you’re allocating resources in your LGBT+ organizations and it magically ends up leaving black trans folks out yet again
