One of the most used examples to make people feel bad about shipping hankcon is when Hank says that Connor coming back to life after being killed remind him of Cole.

Hank didn't said that Connor remind him of his son, being able to die and come back over and over again is the reminder, the why. Why them, why the androids are able to die, to dissappear for a while and then come back? Why Cole didn't have that mercy? Why he had to die and not come back just as Connor does?

That's the reminder of Cole, the injustice, the fragile being that the human is compared to Connor, not Connor itself, so yes, is exhausting just having to explain it
