Instantly, she is frightened, though fear doesn’t splay over her features. She has stared into the face of death before with terror in her eyes, & now there is nothing that can touch her. Still - men who know her name often know her secret. His eyes are familiar to her, and mirror her own in their hue, yet, his name is unknown.
”I beg your pardon. You have me at a disadvantage. I don’t believe we’ve met.” If they have, it was during another time, when she cared what humans thought of her. Now, she takes a step back- though his smile is kind, she doesn’t trust.
"we've met, however, you just don't know it. call me thanatos." the smile remains on his face. while her "death" had been far from something peaceful, keres had been taking care of other busness, leaving thanatos to tend to her. a cant of his head to the side, and he holds his hand out for her to shake. unlike her, he is warm. he has blood coursing through his veins, as if he is a human individual.
a pause, the air growing still; then he continues, "you must think i'm mental."

human is hardly the word to use for thanatos-- yet he carries the scent with him wherever he goes, merely because of the time he spends around them. and she, a vision of perfect beauty, still has the scent of death that clings to her. he knows her well, was there when she was supposed to die, yet she never did.
at least, not technically.
thanatos steps from where he hides, golden eyes glinting in the darkness of the decrepit home. a smile, placid and kind, slips across his face. "you might as well be, am i correct? rosalie hale, i've not seen your face for a very, very long time."
