Is it because he’s a healer, an arbiter, someone who generally tries to help people? Is it because he’s not afraid to be emotional and cry? Is it because he spent most of his time with a bunch of women, at least around the time he was growing into his teen years? Is it because he’s not some toxic overly masculine stereotype, but instead caring and loving?

If you said yes to any of the above, congratulations! You’re literally no better than the homophobes who claim that any man who dares to step an inch outside his gender role must be gay. Because you’re basing his entire sexuality on a bunch of stereotypes. If you wanna headcanon him as bi, that’s great! More power to you! But don’t be all “people can never convince me he is straight” about your headcanon and try desperately to prove it with something within the show. You can have a headcanon without having horribly stereotypical “justifications” for it. Straight men can be loving, caring, effeminate, emotional, etc. If you claim the opposite, you’re exacerbating those gender roles that you likely wish to be broken.
