Who is your favorite Hogan's Heroes side character?

HI HELLO!

Outside of the main cast I would say that my favorites are Corporal Langenscheidt or Lieutenant Maurice DuBois (who I’m aware has had very little screen time but I love him nonetheless) :)

I also have a very love-hate relationship with Marya but another time maybe

My favorite side character is Lieutenant Donner from the episode "The Rise and Fall of Sgt. Schultz" because I love finding William Christopher in various roles in Hogan's Heroes because I grew up watching him as Father Mulcahey in MASH, so seeing the actor in other little roles in my other military dramedy obsession is just so fun

So my love-hate relationship with Marya very heavily depends on the context in which she appears really. First off I am a pathetic ass lesbian and I actually do find her physically attractive HOWEVER

PUT THE TORCHES AND PITCHFORKS DOWN PEOPLE

There are definitely certain instances in the show where I have not agreed with her actions. I’m not saying that she’s a badly-written character because what’s a character without their flaws, really? But to be more specific, in scenes with Hogan, she tends to feel very ‘overboard’ so to say. (Maybe I mean overbearing I don’t know I’m very tired and I’m trying to get this done before work.)

ANYGAYS

That is not to negate the fact that yes, she has actually been helpful at times despite having caused most of the trouble in the first place in an elaborate scheme to sway the odds in her favor sometimes with plans even more complex than Hogan’s (I’m very tired I hope this isn’t gibberish).

As I said and as you can probably tell I am very on the fence when it comes to her. I’ve thought about ways of possibly writing her differently but it’s mostly just me taking away her man privileges.
