Feared by their DEVIOUS + OBSESSIVE tendencies, however, their PASSIONATE + TRUSTWORTHY side helps maintain the facade. Can be easily found in STATEN ISLAND working as AN EXECUTIVE CHEF.
Family, honor, and food. In the Lockwood household, that's all you'd ever hear, no matter what. If you weren't focused on either of those, you weren't in the right headspace. You'd constantly be reprimanded for it, punished, and grounded, depending on your age. From a very young age, you had to learn how to fudge the system, and fudge what the other siblings were told. Being the middle child of three, Kianna found she didn't get into too much trouble. But this wasn't only because she was known to her family as kind, but because the devious side took over more often than it should. She was full of a bright and airy sunshine and consistently was able to talk her way out of a punishment. Her siblings hated her for this, constantly dreading any argument, punishment, or grounding. Kianna was known for never really getting in trouble.
It didn't get better for her two siblings when Kianna showed skill in cooking. She'd always been interested in it as a kid, but at the age of twelve, when she entered a culinary competition in school, her entire life changed. Every waking moment was spent cooking, dreaming about cooking, or reading about cooking. She hadn't thought of anything else until halfway through her high school years. At the age of 16, the entirety of the Lockwood family went into lockdown. Their grandfather became severely ill, and the whole family was forced to take care of him. Each child had a task, and very quickly learned a whole lot more about their family than they would've wanted. Grandmother Annie took over organization, and with a soft spot for Kianna, she told her more than she probably should've. She took her to the family's Italian restaurant, that'd been in their family for years, Pasta La Vista, and guided her down into the basement.
Kianna thought her whole world would shatter, and she took a few minutes wondering if knowing the family mafia secrets was worth it. But the more and more she spoke with her grandmother, the more she realized that this is what made them who they were. This was how her grandmother paid for their grand house, for their lives, and for the ability to give Kianna a full amount of tuition for culinary school.
The Caveat was embedded underneath Pasta La Vista, behind two fake doors in the kitchen, leading down to a vast system of art forgery and hacking. Kianna had to admit that her favorite was always the art, as it was a lot like cooking, but knowing that hacking into just about anything could be done too, she quickly became more devious than the rest of her family. By the time she graduated culinary school, she knew more about the mafia than she probably should've. Despite her grandmother's best efforts to keep her at home, Kianna desperately wanted to travel the world. She spent five years in Europe and Asia, studying cuisines. When she came back, she was met with not only the death of her grandfather, but with news that her grandmother was not only retiring from The Caveat, but that she was ill too. Kianna thoroughly believed that her grandmother's heart broke, but she couldn't bear it.
Spiralling, Kianna spent more and more time away from her family, constantly pushing them away, spending all of her time trying to build The Caveat into something even greater. As a result of this, she lost contact with her siblings, especially her brother. But after hearing about him just disappearing, Kianna wasn't entirely sure she wanted him in her life. He didn't seem very trustworthy at all, especially after hearing he left a daughter after his wife passed. As a result, she took it upon herself to just make sure that she was okay.
By the time she was thirty, she'd managed to put fear into the eyes of anyone dealing with her, in the best way possible. It became very quickly known that Kianna, The Caveat, and Staten Island was not to be messed with, at all.
Kianna is very protective of those she cares about, and will bend all of the rules to make sure they're okay, because that's what her grandmother would've done. She tries her best to shield others from any stress or pain, especially those that deserve all of the happiness and luck in the world.
