reminds me of how i commented under an artist’s post of kirishima how haha he’d def be the type to wear crocs w the outfit they drew for him and a few hours later they posted on their story a version of the art with him wearing crocs and tagged me - like,,, i influenced them to DO that,,,, to physically pick up their tablet and pen and go “yup I’ll draw this”,,, dude that’s just wild

this is how writers feel about their readers doing fanart for their work like ngl like we’re 100% shook you’d invest time and effort into creating art for US, people you’ve probably never met irl before and can never thank you enough other than through continuing to write, and telling you ourselves how grateful we are.

You know, as a girl with autism, I never liked it when other girls and women do the thing where they make fun of men. Sure, you can keep talking about sexism and “punching up”, but that’s not what I hear. Because I know what girls and women make fun of guys for doing. They make fun of them not talking about feelings. They make fun of them for missing social cues and not reading between lines. They make fun of them for talking too much about what interests them, as a result coming off as condescending. Well, I tend to do all of that because of my autism. I don’t readily show emotion or talk about it. I don’t always read between the lines and catch social cues. I have talked too much about my interests to the point where it may come off as condescending. (And as a side note, whenever I have been talked down to or felt condescended to, it was usually by a woman.) So when women and girls make fun of guys, I feel like collateral damage.

Oh dude, same. I seriously need to clean my room, but my brain says no and that’s why I’m drowning in unnecessary files. It sucks when people make fun of stuff that’s most likely a side effect of being neuroatypical, and yes it as an opportunity to dump on men. People can’t say they’re neither a man nor a woman and then act like calling themselves enby is a “best of both worlds” card. If you want to be respected as neither a man nor a woman then you’re going to have to deal with being excluded from spaces that are specifically for men or for women. These spaces exist because the people in them share similar experiences. If you’re not a man or a woman or only a man/woman “some of the time” then you don’t share these experiences. You’re not a man who loves other men if you aren’t a man. It’s pretty simple, really.
