But I got into sock knitting recently!

The continuation of my last post 😊

Got some padding material for the gambeson, got the edges tucked in and made the holes in front for the fake chainmail pieces.

Sewed the shoulder parts of the back and front pieces together and now there's only the sides left, which I want to be adjustable through some belt pieces I got for 2 bucks. After that it'll get some weathering and details and it's finished (hopefully with my next update).

Also found this awesome necklace chain second hand and made a paladin focus out of modelling clay.

Not my typical kind of topic on this account, but I have been working on a cosplay recently and wanted to share some progress pictures ^^

The character is a DnD OC of mine named Kilyn, an elf paladin/cleric.

Still needs some primer, colour and a worbla crystal on the guard, but the main shape is as good as finished.

Also sewed a shirt out of a curtain. This bitch broke the needle of my sewing machine and I don't even know how, it is literally the softest, thinnest material aside from silk 🤪

Gambeson will need some stuffing material before continuing to sew it together, also want to include these beauties 👇 into the front piece.

Chainmail foam gotta be my favourite and least favourite thing ever 😅 like how can something so therapeutic to put together be so frustrating to take apart if you make a mistake?!

Anyways, that's it for now. Updates coming as soon as I have some for you ✌️

btw I’ve found these stretches from the WAK blog very helpful when knitting a lot:

Plus make sure to take breaks regularly - and stop if anything starts to hurt!

especially with gift knitting I know it can be tempting to push through it for a deadline, but it’s really not worth causing long term injury. (And anyone knit-worthy should be understanding of that, imho.) Stay well :)

The latest commission, finished two days ago and hand delivered today. A Ducky Momo plushie from Phineas and Ferb, extra fuzzy and huggable 🤗

Update: We sadly didn't get to the fishy because we took longer than expected to get the basics down. But basics are more important in the long run.

A lil sneak peek of my next crocheting project ^^

Not gonna tell you what it is yet, but it is going to be a belated christmas present for a friend.

I went a bit inactive for the last few months. Life happened and I suddenly had little time (and also little shelf space for new wooly friends) left to do any woolwork. Hopefully that can change in the near future, as knitting and crocheting are still big hobbies of mine 😊
