BASICALLY. AWTDE stands for A World That Doesn't Exist, which is the tag I'm using for combined SFAWTDE and DAWTDE, which stand for Searching For AWTDE and Destroying AWTDE respectively

SFAWTDE and DAWTDE are two Minecraft videos on YouTube by Wifies, with the latter being a sequel to the primary. They are ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECES. They're presented in a video-essay style, as if the events within actually happened (very arg-like, except it's not actually a game, so :P), and oughhhhh it's done so well

The non-spoiler-y gist of the first few minutes is that the Minecraft player Averythemayo discovers a mine—and subsequently a book—he did not make nor write, so he posts a video on it. Wifies took a look at that video and discovered more.

Do I recommend? YES YES YES YES YES YES. YES. (HEHEHA HEHE HAH HA!!!) Logistics: SFAWTDE is about 40 minutes long; DAWTDE is about 2 hours. By reading this, you are signing a legally binding contract to inform me IMMEDIATELY ALL your thoughts on ANYTHING relating to AWTDE if you decide to watch it. (Heh heh hehhh heheheheh.)

In case of an emergency, or an inability to contact me, here is a list of things to keep in mind.

Drake is allergic to walnuts. He cannot seem to remember this.

Do not consume any media featuring clowns in any communal areas. This should be common sense, but it is not.

If Oracle has to ask where Batman is, he's been taken or gone dark on purpose. Neither ends well. Find him immediately.

Batcow has to be milked twice a day. When I am absent, this task falls to Thomas. He usually needs to be reminded.

Never open Drake's closet.

If Alfred the Cat does not appear when Alfred the Human calls him, Duke knows where he is. Don't follow him.

Father needs to be prompted to eat sometimes. You'd think he would know better, but the only one worse at taking care of themselves is Timothy.

Cassandra enjoys the sweets from the shop on Evergreen. Especially the dark chocolate and raspberry truffles.

Don't let Stephanie talk over Thomas too often.

If the Manor seems too quiet, check to make sure Todd and Drake haven't killed each other.

If Stephanie doesn't show up on the game room couch for more than four days, something is wrong. This has only not been the case once, there are almost no exceptions.

Never, under any circumstances, play Erik Satie in the house. It's one of Jason's triggers. Gymnopedies especially.

so i'm more or less leaving the streaming scene!

i was doing it less and less often since mid last year. originally it was because of my job and worklife balance - i work 33-42 hours a week, sometimes starting at 7am and sometimes ending at 10pm. i would try to maintain that stream slot period for myself, but i realized that trying to arrange my life around this had become just a chore. i'd be exhausted from work, or i'd be in a bad mood because of not being able to hang out with my friends or mom, and i didn't WANT to stream. i missed my real life!

towards the end of wwsmp (and the month or so of the misunderstanding) i had a conversation with my therapist where she suggested that my real life world is what's satisfying while my online life just... isn't.

it wasn't what i needed anymore. i used to be online daily, multiple hours a day - my primary friends were online, i loved gaming, and it was my escape from real world emotions. but, i've just... grown up, i think. i love my job, i love my partner, i love my family, and i love my life. if i'm lonely i can go out and go to a bookstore, join a club, or hang with my friends. i don't need to cushion my bad days with being online, because i have everything i need in real life.

i've met incredible people and experienced so many awesome things throughout the few years i've been streaming! there's been so, so much good from it. it means the world to me. but i also met and saw a lot of bad, too. being a public creator means that you're opening yourself up and giving anybody and everybody the chance to snip at you. i've lost friends, i've experienced the angry side of the internet, and at times i almost lost myself. i don't want that. i don't want to allow people such free access to me anymore. i want to just... be me and walk away from it all. the real world is so beautiful, even when it has it's moments of being scary, but it's not as polarized as everything is on the internet. i want to be true to myself and what's important to me, and i think this leap is part of it!

i might every once in awhile still stream, don't get me wrong! but i don't want my life to be a series of deadlines, appointments, and scheduling. that's lame! i want to just do what i'd like to, so... i will!

thank y'all who have stuck with me for as long as you have! i'll continue to create at my own pace. i've been back on commissions lately, so expect that! i've also been talking about opening up a patreon to show off all the art things i do, adding independently made keychains/merch/etc. to my ko-fi, and even maybe tableing at cons! i'm really excited to move on to this next part of my journey. thank you guys for everything. i hope i can make you guys as proud as you've made me. :) ❤️💙
