Hey guys, sorry I havenāt uploaded, at all this week, I have barely had the chance to even look at anything art related, let alone work on any of my art. I was out of state the past week, due to a family emergency, but Iām back with a massive review post, with some of my favorites art related products, and where I got them from. Sorry in advance for the ridiculously long post and I hope you enjoy!Ā
Okay, lets get my favorite out of the way first, before everyone runs away at the length of this: Washi Tape. Who isnāt addicted to washi tape right now? Itās like the internet has found itās new favorite crafting item, and I got to say, Iām totally aboard the washi train. Molshine has a set of 22 rolls for $19.98. Thatās less than $1 per roll, and there is a cat print one. Need I say more? This brand has so many different sets of washi available on their Amazon page, and I want to buy them all. The set I got can be found here, but donāt limit yourself to just this set, get them all. Go!!! Are you back from buying washi tape? Awesome! Letās move on then. Now, every painter needs a good set of paint brushes, and my favorite detail paintbrushes I got from Bianyo here. For only $12.99 you can get 15 brushes, that are great for fine details, and thin lines. When Iām not needing fine lines, I use a paintbrush set by Feathers that are super lightweight, and great for painting for long periods of time. You can find them hereĀ for only $19.99, and they come with 17 brushes, a storage case (great for travel, but lets be real, I tossed mine in my storage bench, thereās no room for that in my desk), as well as a gift box and a bonus plastic palette. Of course, I canāt use paintbrushes without the paint, and while before I claimed Golden Acrylics were my favorite acrylic paints, I found these amazing heavy bodied paints, that were inexpensive, but still great quality. The Golden paints were still really good, but I had tried their fluid acrylics, which is different than heavy bodied. Anyway, Mont Marte makes a set of 36 heavy bodied acrylic paints, that can be found hereĀ for $35.95 that I totally recommend, like, I want to purchase multiple sets just so I never run out. There are swatches of these paints attached above in a photo, as well as the two sets of brushes, and everything else Iām including in this review as well. Actually, there is one item I donāt have a photo of, and it is the easel Iām using, and its from Bianyo (I get a lot of their products, and love most of them, doesnāt that say something about that brand? Go check it out!!). Itās aluminum, lightweight, and folds up into a small travel case so itās great for if you want to paint outside, of nature or something, though I honestly just use mine inside, Iām not an outdoors person, unfortunately. Anyway, that can be found hereĀ for $18.99. Moving on from the painting supplies, every artist needs a good set of fineliner pens. And of course, everyone loves and recommends the Sakura Micron pens, and I have to say, they are kind of awesome. I got my set of 11 from Meeden on Amazon for $21.99 here. Now, colored pencils, my favorites, that arenāt crazy expensive are the Marco Renoir colored pencils. You can find them from many different places, but I got mine here from Huhuhero for $39.98, though like I said, they can be found in other places, for varying prices. I store mine in my 3 drawer organizer from Swinsonbox, you can fit up to 92 colored pencils per drawer, and itās only $21.99, so I like it, though I think there are probably better options available elsewhere, you can look at the one I have here. And thatās all for now. So many reviews. Hope you can find at least one item here that you like, and if you try any of these out, please share your thoughts with me!
