I disappeared.
I left without a warning.
I had to run and hide
In order to clear my mind.
Now that I’m better,
And I can see things so clear,
I know that you were never
really good for me.

Heavy is the heart of the over thinker.
So much love in our hearts,
yet so much doubt in our minds.
-that sad stoned poet
Do I stay where I’m at in life?
Why is that even a question?
I am getting half of what
I am giving out.
Yet, I’m complacent here.
It’s almost as if I feel like
my purpose is to give more
than what I am capable of receiving.

Never let someone make you forget your worth.
You are worthy of so many things, my dear.
You are worthy of
love,
kindness,
compassion.
You are worthy of all the beautiful things
this life has to offer.
-that sad stoned poet
Let me be the one who loves
you to the point
you forgot what life was like
before me.

As a child, I yearned to grow up.
To be an adult, to make my own choices
and to be able to leave the toxic life I had.
Yet, as an adult, now I yearn to be a child again.
To experience the childhood that
I have always wished for.

I wish the world was a kinder place.
We are all just souls put here to
live life to the fullest.
Yet we live life so full of struggles
and hardships.
We shouldn’t spent the majority of
our lives “earning” enjoyment.
-that sad stoned poet
I sat with my neighbor under the tree today.
We smoked and talked about some of her life story.
It was beautiful yet tragic.
To hear about her tragedies and hardships she has faced,
and yet she still stands here excelling despite it all.

One day, when we are old and grey,
we will look back at all we have been through
and say “it was all worth it”
as it has led us to this moment
and allowed us to spend a lifetime
together.
-that sad stoned poet
I didn’t realize until it was far too late,
my “protector” was my predator.
Preying and shaping me into the
perfect woman.
A perfect figure,
perfect obedience.
Yet, I’ve thankfully managed to become
my perfectly imperfect self.
-that sad stoned poet
I have walked through hellfire and back.
I have been beaten down and degraded,
yet I still live life full of love because
the darkness will never
dim the light within me.
-that sad stoned poet
I lost who i am.
I spent so many minutes just looking in the mirror,
not recognizing what I see.
How did I get here?
Why do I see a stranger in my reflection?
When will I find me again?
-that sad stoned poet
“Don’t bite the hand that feeds you”
But how can I not, when it’s only feeding me
half of what I need?
-that sad stoned poet
I will love you in this lifetime,
in all of our next lifetimes,
and even in the afterlife.
For you and me are meant to be.
-that sad stoned poet
How lucky am I to love so deeply.
I used to hate being so emotional,
but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized
that it’s a blessing to feel so deeply
in such a heartless world.
-that sad stoned poet
All I wanted was to love you the way you deserved,
yet that wasn’t enough for you.
-that sad stoned poet
All I want is a soft life.
After living so many years
in fight or flight mode,
all I crave is peace
love
quiet.
