"Y'know I'm still thinkin' bout gettin' us a place bigger than this," Striker cuts through the silence as they'd been moving his things in Stolas' apartment after how long being together now? A couple of months so far. To think he'd be willing to move in with someone, much less be in a relationship with them, and be a Goetia at that? He might've had a heart attack months earlier. "I mean no offense to this place, just bein' able to have more room would be nice, like y'know, with some land."
He hangs his clothes up in the closet for a moment before seeing the others already within. Taking note of a few, he recognized for a moment, giving a bit of a chuckle. "Hmm, definitely a bigger closet too. Ya managed to get all yer outfits?" If there's one thing he learned since being with the ex-prince, he took his sense of style seriously.
Stolas blinked, turning his head to face the other from the organizing he was doing in the dresser on the other side of the room, nearly 180 degrees, but that wasn't really that uncommon for the goetia. "Land, hm? It would be nice to plant a new garden." He mused, wondering how his plants were doing, if they had even survived Andrealphus' ice storm around his former home--unfortunate since he had grown them since Octavia's infancy, and he found them as close as pets. The thought made his throat a little dry, so he turned away again "Most of them, yes, at least my favorites. And some of my more casual ones that...."fit in" better among the rest of the civilians." He chuckled and finished folding what he was working on to neatly tuck into a drawer, before standing and moving across the room to smooch the other on the forehead. "I am not worried about what we have or do not, I am just grateful for your company."

Andre had taken a seat off to one side of the lobby, various blueprints scattered over the table and surrounded by several empty cups of coffee. He had made good on his word to renovate his room, and the designs he had sketched onto paper were finally taking shape.
While the rest of the hotel residents were taking part in a trust activity in the other room, the former marquis continued to scribble and scratch calculations, his gaze focused solely on the task at hand and ignoring everything around him.
It wasn't until a shadow spread across his calculations that Andre realized someone was there.
Looking up to the source, the former marquis blinked in surprise as his glasses slid down his beak.
"Stolas?"
Since the trail, Stolas had been through the ringer. Learning how to live as a commoner while navigating the ups and downs of his not-relationship relationship with so many issues it may as well be a comic book. He was exhausted, physically and mentally, and was seeking somewhere that wasn't a couch at Blitz's home, so they could have space to think and figure out what was going on. It just so happened that a text message from Lucifer would be the saving grace from the tense and awkward living situation, inviting him to a new job accounting for the 'Hazbin Hotel' in Pentagram City. He had seen the trail he had ever so conveniently missed on the television and felt somewhat of a soft spot for Stolas' self-sacrifice. And now, here he was in a clamoring, chaotic hotel lobby, casting his gaze over the line leading to the front desk, manned by a silver haired angel. The bustling crowd of enthusiastic earned a small chuckle from the former prince as he caught sight of a familiar face, making his way over to stand before him. "Well this is an odd coincidence, is it not? Of all the folks to run into here, I did not believe for a moment it would be you."

It's only been physical between them. The moment he laid hands on Stolas' sparks ignited and he couldn't get enough of the bird. It didn't help that he had essentially garnered the same sort of attention. The sudden teases, multiple texts, and talk of wanting him. It was a lot and all in good fun but they haven't actually gone a date have they? Striker liked to think he was better than Blitz in every way but he stops the line at being just like him. That's why when Stolas' spoke to him about the one date the man brought him on, he couldn't help but snag that idea for himself. It'd take him a while but he'd eventually get the reservations even a new suit to dress up in. Going all out for their first date as he'd keep such a thing a secret until tonight. He knows the other doesn't hold royal status anymore but those outfits of his still remained. It's why he didn't let him know sooner considering just how fast he can get ready. That's why instead of sending him a text that he was on the way would he simply arrive at his door. One of his hands reaching up to knock as he shifted his hold on the flowers he brought to seal the deal even more so. When it took him a moment to answer would he announce himself to ease his mind. "Dear it's me, Striker." He'd shift his weight a little as his tail swirled and swoosh a little as he pulled out his phone just in case he needed to text.
The knock made stolas' head turn, an eyebrow raising as the sound tore his attention from the soap opera he was currently watching on his couch. But then, the call of the other's voice, dripping with its usual southern drawl brought him to his feet. He glanced down at himself, only wearing a robe, hardly tied, a little disheveled. This felt familiar-- why did the men he fancy have such an affinity for giving him no advance notice. Still, he answered the door curiously, looking down at the other with the softest of smiles, one that only warmer further as he saw the flowers in the other's grasp. "My my, an unexpected visit, and with flowers no less? Aren't I a lucky man." He was doing his best not to look flustered as he was, the romantic gesture actually making his heart hammer against his rubs already, even without a hint of a clue that more was to come.
@thatsamoodgabriella
"Was there ever a doubt? I knew ya'd cover the board." He smirked before taking hold of his waist, pulling him down, before he catches him and lowers him at an angle. "All ya gotta do is say you're mine."
"Oh is that all?" Stolas practically purred, hooting out a few laughs as he's dipped, a hand coming to caress the cowboy's cheek lightly, letting his lids fall to half closed, meeting his gaze and murmuring so only he could hear. "Then I am yours, until the last star burns out in the sky."

"YOU'RE GOING DOWN A PATH I CAN'T FOLLOW" PROMPTS * assorted dialogue for that moment when the person you care about is doing things you just can't accept, adjust as necessary
you've crossed a line.
it ends here.
i'm not going to be with you for the rest of this journey.
you're going down a path i can't follow.
i think this is the end of the line for us.
i can't take any more of this.
don't you trust me?
i've told you time and time again, this isn't you.
who are you doing this for?
if you continue acting like this, i'm leaving.
i will never forgive you for what you've done.
i've always been your biggest supporter, but this? i can't condone this.
you've lost me.
you're not who i thought you were.
there were signs, and i just didn't see them.
they tried to warn me about you, but i just didn't listen.
that wasn't a mistake. that was a choice.
so this is it, then?
you're not going to apologize?
i never thought you were that type of person.
you could have been better.
this is where we part ways.
don't you see? i'm doing this for you.
i can make things better if you just trust me.
i've trusted you far enough.
i can't cosign this behavior.
you've gone way too far.
you're just jealous of my accomplishments.
you just want to stifle my greatness.
i see darkness in you.
this is far too dangerous for me.
i'm going the other way.
i will not sit here and watch you do this.
you're going to have to go through me.
this could have gone better.
i don't want to hurt you.
what did they tell you? it was all lies!
the choices we make have consequences.
and to think, i really believed in you.
after all this time, you're leaving me?
i thought we had something special.
now i realize it was all a fantasy.
when you crossed that line, you lost me.
that's not something we can come back from.
i'm not just going to forgive you for what you did.
there are some things that just can't be forgiven.
i warned you multiple times where my limits where.
you have no regard for boundaries.
goodbye, old friend.
you will never see me again.
have fun on your journey without me.
nothing will make this right.
there's nothing you can say to convince me otherwise. my mind is made up.
i should have left you a long time ago.

@thatsamoodgabriella said: ❝ you’re going to be the death of me, but i’ll die happy. ❞
It'd been just a night to relax and forget with no real plans in mind for the hitman. Only to find himself making conversation with someone he was known to kill; sharing something meaningful with a drunken haze. It didn't help the thoughts that came up when doing so, looking to the goetia who seemed to understand and listen to him. To really look at him past all that he knew and hated. Next thing he knew? He's making out with the ex-prince in an alleyway outside the bar. It's a rough angle considering their heights but manageable as Striker takes the lead. His hands already feeling along the owl's body, running his claws along his feathers until he's slipping past his shorts. The claws sliding down until he finds it. Circling around the rim before rubbing up then down painfully slow before the other breaks their kiss. The sudden gasp of words as he has yet to do more. He can't help but chuckle in response. "I'm just gettin' started. . .and yer already singin' my praises." Striker's voice weighs heavy in the air now as he teases him further by pushing inward. The world around them disappearing as he's revving up for the main course.
Leaning closer towards his "ear" as he practically hisses in his ear. "Tell me how much you want it. Show me how much of a slut ya really are, Sssstolas." The imp didn't let up as he fully pushed his claw inside and thrusts.
Careless whisper playing distantly
"if i can't be happy, then at least i'm hot!"
Stolas wrinkled his beak up in a snort of a laugh, shaking his head, "I mean, yes, you are hot. But, I don't like the idea that you believe you are incapable of happiness." He paused to lean down into a crouch, to better match the other's height, trying to offer a small reassuring smile, despite his own face holding the weight of his own stress, clasping a hand to his shoulder. "Look, I understand I have no foot to stand on to tell someone how to be happy, but I know I am willing to help figure out how to make it better, at the very least. If it can't be fixed, it can still be made better, in some way, I'm sure."
“Shut up and dance with me.”
Stolas stood still for a moment, as if the other had frozen him in place with words alone before hesitantly reaching out and taking the others hand in his and guiding him to the dance floor wordlessly.
He took the lead, one hand sliding onto the other’s waist with a flat palm, the other taking his hand as he lead the other in the waltz around the marble tiling, a carousel of other bodies moving in perfect 3/4 time. The entire dance, Stolas kept his gaze intently on the other’s face, a thoughtful expression etched onto his features.
He didn’t necessarily trust the other, but there was something about him he did find fascinating in some degree. He was intelligent and catty. A strong fighter. There was more to be learned, but the last thing he expected was to be asked to dance. So here he was, just being obedient to the other’s demand.
He did not shy away from spinning the other in close and dipping him when appropriate in the choreography, never missing a beat with his footwork, nor his analytical stare.
❛ is the price i pay endless pain?
"The price you pay is between you and the karmic scale. But from what I hear, she's quite the bitch." The Goetia's words are spoken flatly, hardly casting the other a glance as he spoke, focused instead on the cigarette in his fingers and the view out the window. "If you're in pain now, perhaps it comes to question what did you sow in order to reap such a consequence? Because it isn't I causing this. I've been minding my business, serving my sentence that you so graciously caused to come my way. Missing my daughter. And you come to me complaining of endless pain?" He drew a deep inhale of smoke, letting it swirl around the air in front of him on the exhale.

It had been about two months since the trial, and his transition from royal life to fending for himself. He had the assistance of I.M.P. of course, but he wanted to be independent. He had gotten his own apartment, and worked for his own income. It was all so strange to him. At the end of this particular evening the Goetia found himself at a shitty dive bar on the edge of town, leaning forward against the rail as he sat on a stool, ordering a vodka soda and rubbing his temples. His gaze cast around the room after a long sigh, trying to shake the mental stress away. Red eyes fell upon the other, his head tipping slightly. He recognized him, vaguely. He was known among royals as someone to look out for, someone who was usually hired for nefarious means, but beyond the familiarity there wasn't much else he could recall. "I feel as though I've seen you somewhere." He said simply, making casual chatter to hopefully give him a distraction from the voices in his mind.
Stolas could notice the other’s tension, rather acute at paying attention to body language and tone. Now, that didn’t mean he always applied what he noticed, like in this case, he felt trying to adjust his tone would be too obvious and might piss the other off. He didn’t want to be talking down to him, not intentionally.
After all, he had no real position to talk down to anyone anyway. Even his clothing no longer reflected his previous status, currently wearing a t shirt and jeans. It was almost comical to see a once powerful Ars Goetia dressed like the dad he was.
“Striker.” He repeated, simply to commit it to memory, “Nice to formally meet you. I’m Stolas.”
The tone was casual still, but watching the other turn to him he is a little surprised. He figured by now he would’ve been told to fuck off.
“You know, the reason you were familiar in the first place was because I’m 99% sure my ex wife was contemplating hiring you. Luckily for me I think her brother talked her down, or we’d be meeting under much different circumstances.”
He says it like a joke, but its very clearly the alcohol making his tone a little unreadable, as everything he says has had a similar cadence, as his expression does appear a little angry, just for a moment, at thinking of Stella.
What did he get himself into? A whole heap of trouble that's what. He's no longer just sitting here enjoying some liquor but full on talking to him. His attention on him like he was listening to just another demon not a damn goetia who'd lost his crown. The reminders are there with how mundane he looked to the way he held himself. Stolas managed to somehow blend into society. His eyes lowering down to his shirt just trying to figure out if he should even be casual about this or not. The sudden switch up just wasn't him but he'd take his own advice and forget. Just forget for a moment between them as he manages to talk without a hint of malice in his tone. Those glowing yellow eyes lifting up to meet the bird's in turn. "Nice to meet ya." It's not much but it's a start to whatever this conversation was as he held some form of restraint. Or maybe it's just the liquor finally getting to him after that glass? Still he's there looking at him as talks of his ex-wife and nearly being hired. "She called me up a while ago spewin' all sorts about how ya deserved to die. I wasn't lookin' for specifics but she sure as hell knew how to sqawk. Damn near blew my eardrums out; lucky both of us didn't have to deal."
Stolas began to laugh again, this time more genuine as he covered his mouth to muffle the soft hooting sound, seeming genuinely amused by his description of his ex wife. "You have got that quite right. I will admit I wronged her, but it didn't hurt her any. It only pissed her off because she wanted to maintain a certain life-style I was providing under her constant berating and scrutiny. Dreadful Woman." He explained, shaking his head with a grimace. He did find it funny that they had gotten into a full conversation at this point, but definitely was thankful for something to occupy his time other than his head. "Imagine learning as a child you're stuck being betrothed to such a bitch," he scoffed, shaking his head, "Don't get me wrong, I typically dont find it becoming to insult a woman but, she's hardly a proper lady."
Striker would listen to the other laugh at was apparently an amusing statement about his ex-wife. Which he couldn't fault him for considering he didn't even want to speak with her on the phone much less take a job from her. A rarity for someone like him to turn down considering he'd accept every opprotunity he could to have a royal under his heel. She just happened to be too much to handle, anger or revenge otherwise. "Guess that explains the nickname she gave ya. Either way? You managed to deal with 'er all this time. Shit you deserve a medal." He'd turn his gaze from him for a moment as he reached over to the bottle now. Grabbing the neck before bringing it to his lips as he drank some more. Not enough to drown himself but it was a long one. His drinking only managing to stop upon hearing the owl go as far as to call the woman a bitch. In which he'd swallow before letting out a laugh at that as he pointed towards him. "Don't back out on that insult now. That ain't no woman no more that's a harpy in disguise there. C'mon say it with yer full chest now-- here." He'd offer the bottle to him now. "Drink this. Then, say it."
Stolas didn’t have many friends even as a royal, so this little exchange they were having was making him feel better than he had in a long time. When the other said he deserved a medal, it only encouraged further laughter.
“Is it worse if I tell you theres more like her than not of the Goetia ranking? God, getting into a room with a bunch of squawking aristocrats all complaining about the texture of the pate, or the dryness of the wine—“ he scoffed, shaking his head, “Enough to make you want to gouge your own ears out!”
The other offered the bottle, his crimson eyes flicking down to it before reaching out and taking it. It almost felt wrong to do, especially for someone who’s still used to acting somewhat proper in public. But he brought it to his beak and took a decent sized swig of it.
His eyes glinted in amusement, meeting the others gaze with a soft grin, speaking a little louder, and firmer this time as he handed the bottle back, his head swimming with booze and lack of inhibitions.
“That —motherfucking bitch deserved worse than she got. She may very well be queen of all cunts here in hell. May no one be cursed enough to have to share a bed with her again.”
The visit to the bar wasn't meant to be anything more than a way to unwind and forget for the night. A way for him to fade into the background of hell's society without someone recognizing him. It worked at first when he got there. Everyone kept to themselves or those they came with, like their own little paradise; he included. Then, there he was, a goetia out of his element, making conversation with the very person who killed them. It was odd-- rare even considering the danger that he warned him about. Still, for all the warnings and tangents he went on, would the imp remain. Maybe it was the alcohol that softened his resolve, or how little he wanted to get into a fight tonight. Honestly, he couldn't tell you, as even the bumbling ex-prince managed to get a laugh out of him.
At the expense of his ex-wife, but still something he found amusing in all that was said tonight. Something they both could agree on and seemingly bond over, the other went on to say more about royalty. The talk of how they acted and spoke in meetings discussing very little of their jobs but wine? food? Oh how he couldn't help but laugh some more.
"Been there before, 'cept I was brought in to talk payment. Spent a couple of minutes being ignored till I shot the ceiling. Never seen a group so terrified. . .heh. . " He couldn't help but grin at that memory until Stolas finally took the bottle. His attention shifted back to him as he took a pretty big swig.
"That's it--" His words getting cut off by the bottle being handed to him as he laid it all out for him. "That's how ya do it! Looks like yer not as soft as I thought, Feathers." Lifting the bottle, he would bring it to his lips and down the rest before setting it down. He wipes off the excess with his hand before leaning back in his chair.
Oh boy, was he tipsy. The only thing in focus of his vision was the Imp he was speaking to, not that he really intended to look anywhere else. The whole killer cowboy thing was kinda hot. His elbow found the countertop and his chin was placed haphazardly into it again. His brow raised slightly when the other paid him a compliment, a smirk on his features. "This is fun, I could shit-talk all these imbiciles I've been forced to endure for months."
After a moment, he pushed himself upright and pulled a box of cigarettes out of his pocket, sliding off the stool to raise to full height, towering over any of the imps in the place by quite a margin. He offered a cigarette before beginning to head to the door to the back patio of the bar. He typically didn't smoke unless he was stressed or drunk previously, but the habit had become more common for him since the trial. "Care to join me for a smoke? I'm quite enjoying our conversation. Though, I do understand if the answer is no."
Striker was more than buzzed at this point as he could feel the shift in his own body. How the world seemed to slow down around him as the tension left him. Thoughts of anything truly coherent were there, but not by much; in fact, he was already thinking of getting another drink. Truly make this a night to forget by the end of it all as his tail swirled and swayed in thought. His gaze only shifted from the bottles behind the bar to the male beside him once he spoke.
"Shit, I could go on and on right there withcha." The imp didn't hesitate to answer him, having had a whole moment between them just laughing about royals seconds ago. Lots of stories to tell on his part, but whether or not Stolas wanted ot hear was up to him. Watching as he managed to sit upright then stand before him like a tower overlooking the city. Fuckin' hell he's tall. . . wonder how he'd look. . . Certain thoughts came to mind as his eyes lowered over his form. Shaking it off, he would be offered a cigarette that made his brow raise. Still, he'd take it from him as he walked towards the back. The offer to join him and continue was there as he looked from the cigarette, then back before eventually shrugging. "Why the hell not? Getting stuffy in here anyhow." He'd get up from his stool and head over as he placed the filter between his lips. Rummaging his own pockets for a lighter before opening it up and lighting the tip. Taking deep inhale of the smoke as it lingered in his lungs for a while before he exhaled. Blowing out a cloud of smoke with a sigh as he offered up his lighter with the flame at the ready. "Need a light?"
Stolas smiled as the other offered a light, leaning down to be closer to the other's hand with the cigarette between his lips, gaze meeting the other's while in this informal bow, looking up at him while leaning the edge of his cigarette into the flame and inhaling, standing back up once ignited and moving his eyes out at the street, idly watching cars go by. "Thank you. Quite the gentleman for a killer." The words were said in a teasing tone between an inhale and exhale of smoke, a hand running through the feathers atop his head to smooth them out. Was this how normal people made friends? It sure felt nice to have a conversation that wasn't primarily motivated by money or business or someone being forced to talk to him. Sure, they were bonding over hatred of his own kind, but hey, beggars can't be choosers. "So, if you don't mind me asking of course, what got you into the contracted killing business?"
"I never quite understood that stereotype." The statement left his lips without much forethought, his face scrunching as he tried to sort his thoughts through the drunken haze, as he struggled to find the right words to explain. "Perhaps its just because I personally know so many of you that are actively making more for yourselves, despite the pre-determined notions other hell-borns have for you-- but all I have seen from Imps since I was a child is that they're determined, hardworking, and actually have to fight to achieve some sort of dream they want, instead of being born with a silver spoon in your mouth and asking for anything you want. Do you have any idea how stupid I feel as a grown man having to learn how to care for myself?" He scoffed at the notion, rolling his wrist forward with a dramatic hand, his posture never leaving the forward lean on the railing. It kept him at a less drastic height in comparison to the other, anyway. "I thought I was a smart child because I could recite facts from thousands of books, but put me out on my own and I have to figure out how to work a stove. Thank satan for youtube."
