Do you own the blog FivePastFive?
Yes.

I didnât bring a swarm, did I? And I can make inferences, but as someone didnât even want to tell me where we were at first, I wanted to be sure before I made incorrect assumptions. But it wonât happen again, believe me.
No, you brought one, which made straight for the console.
Ever heard the phrase 'never could be too careful?' Just-- don't bring anything into my TARDIS without my express permission. I'm not going to be angry with you, Nyssa, but I need you to understand that I'm far more experienced than you are and there's always going to be malevolent beings out there.

âWas it bleeding? I donât see how there could be a bone fracture,â he observed, feeling the skin under the bandage. âI expect it smarts though, possibly a sprain or a tear to the patellar tendon. Is the pain in your knee, or higher or lower? And do you want this rebandaged? Iâm not a medical doctor but I must say I donât like the look of this.â
He smiled at her slightly. âPretty name, âSkye Songâ, actually.â
She shook her head âNo, no bleeding. Itâs not in my knee, itâs lower.â She said, trying to not pull away when he touched her leg. âIf you wouldnât mind. Iâve never bandaged an injury of my own before today.âÂ
She smiled a little. âThanks.âÂ
He began unwrapping it gently. "Always welcome. Have you got someplace you live? Friends, family, et cetera? I'd hate to leave you like this."
Peri, Nyssa, I think this explains a thing. Insert the Doctor and yourselves into this situation.
You go to Mondas, homeworld of the Cybermen, where itâs fairly obvious that the people are hacking each other apart and putting themselves together with toasters, and you pick up an apparently biomechanical creature, and bring it into the TARDIS!
You should have at least some notion!
Yes, thank you, Doctor. Â I said I had no idea how destructive it would be, and that still stands. I thought it was perfectly safe in my bag and had no cause to think otherwise, as you had never yet explained to me what they did or what purpose they served. I am only as knowledgeable as the person who informs me of these things.
I'd still expect to see my companions have some ability to make inferences about their surroundings. It's bad enough you brought something potentially dangerous into the TARDIS, but a cybermat?! Can you imagine what a swarm of them could have done had they attempted to tap into the Eye of Harmony?! Neither can I. But I can imagine quite closely, I fancy. Just don't do anything like that ever again, alright? Nyssa?
WOAH FIVE DONâT FLIP YOUR SHIT OVER A DAMN CYBERMAT
You brought a CYBERMAT INTO MY TARDIS?!@!@#@#>?!<@?<@#>!!!!!!1111
#thatâs my favorite line in the whole damn audio because I think he burst a blood vessel
Cybermats do a shitload of damage to anything technological, so I completely understand why he loses his patience like that. Really, Nyssa. What were you thinking?
I will never live this down, will I? Honestly, it isnât as if Iâd ever seen one before to know how destructive it would be.

Outtakes from The Five Doctors. Iâm not crying, itâs just raining on my face.

Peri tried to pay attention when the Doctor spoke, she really did, but she was pretty sure that heâd started reciting Greek poetry or something by the end, as she had no real idea how to marry what he was saying to what she was seeing. Â All she knew was that her eyes were a little confused, trying to take it all in. There was just so much. She tried to focus on the different trees and shrubs and plants, feeling a little like a kid in a candy store. Â She was already drifting away from him and towards some rather unusual purple shrubbery, though after the whole experience of spectrox and poking around on alien planets in general, she was still wary of touching anything and kept her hands to herself until she knew that everything was 100% safe to handle.
âItâs beautiful,â she repeated, spotting his coat and rejoining him quickly, âthough Iâm not sure if I like the âdecades of genetic modificationâ part. Â Oh, I know itâs necessary to make this ecosystem, but it just sounds wrong.â She reached out and repeated his same gesture over the sensor, for no real purpose other than to give her something to touch.
"Don't touch, Peri," he said peevishly, pushing her hand off the sensor. "Hmm. On your own world there are genetically modified crops and food animals. For thousands of years humans have been breeding creatures and plants for their own purposes. It's the same principle here, although on a grander scale."
"At any rate, I am rather curious about the station. Never really visited one before. Fancy a grand tour? Meet the locals?" He grinned at her momentarily and then whirled back to the sensor node to rip out several bundles of wires. Alarm klaxons whistled faintly.

âAh. Let me see it then.â He helped her to her feet and then dropped to a crouch to inspect Skyeâs handiwork. The Doctorâs fingers drifted over the bandage as delicately as he could, trying to assess the wound without hurting her. âNow how did this happen, Skye?â
Skye leaned against the closest thing when he crouched to see her work. She winced a little when he started touching it. âI fell and landed on my leg. I guess all my weight landing on it isnât a good thing.â
"Was it bleeding? I don't see how there could be a bone fracture," he observed, feeling the skin under the bandage. "I expect it smarts though, possibly a sprain or a tear to the patellar tendon. He smiled at her slightly. "Pretty name, 'Skye Song', actually."

âNo, not the best way to spend my birthday..â She sighed and took his hand he help get up. âNice to meet you Doctor. Iâm Skye Song.â Mustnât let him know Iâm part of his future⌠She thought, âMy leg really hurts, thatâs how my leg is. I donât think I did any good wrapping it myself..â she sighed.
"Ah. Let me see it then." He helped her to her feet and then dropped to a crouch to inspect Skye's handiwork. The Doctor's fingers drifted over the bandage as delicately as he could, trying to assess the wound without hurting her. "Now how did this happen, Skye?"

âOwâŚâ She said, looking down at the leg she had wrapped herself. âMaybe I should have let Dad wrap it, or maybe Mum.â She sighed as she looked around for a way to get around. â⌠Well, Happy Birthday meâŚâ She sighed.
"Not the way you expected to spend your birthday, I fancy. Need a little help? I'm the Doctor, how's that leg of yours?" He couldn't help but hear the girl's plight and feel that he could render some little assistance. He offered her a hand to help her up.

She had started to honestly zone out a little when the Doctor started telling her about Algaradan, mentally blaming it on so much information at once. Â That all changed as they walked outside and Peri, who knew she had an uncontrollable habit of sounding unimpressed even when she was impressed, couldnât help but show her excitement at setting eyes and feet on this odd new planet. Â Now this was more like it.
âWow!â She stared up in wonder, squinting a little, then turned her eyes back at him. âThatâs really cool! But..I donât get it, how does this place work? ItâsâŚwell, a little confusing. Beautiful but confusing.â
"Yes, uh--" he rubbed the back of his head and looked around, his eyes settling on the nearest metallic sensor tower and drifting towards it. While they were here, wherever here was, he was surely not going to complain about it. "Appears to be an Earth agricultural station. One of the biospheres, I fancy. Quite interesting. It's something of a collection of  alien flora and fauna, assembled over decades of screening and genetic modification to form a viable ecosystem out of organisms that would never meet each other naturally."
The Doctor reached a sensor node and couldn't fail to run his hand over the surface, no doubt playing havoc with whatever sensitive readings it was taking. "Fascinating usage of the natural properties of a sphere, however. Maximum volume with minimum surface area, and besides which, gravity can be exerted outwards so that the central majority of the volume is inhabited by atmosphere, with all surface areas being utilized to the fullest extent possible. You can walk and walk and never meet a wall. A hollow world."
