"How does it feel to be the Corpse-God's whore?" @bitchofsteel
"Haven't heard that one before. You have me almost crack a smile at the basicness of that insult, malaka", Penthesilea said in the most dead tone possible. *That Night Lord that is still infesting the vents insults me more. Now. Do you have anything worthwhile to say or should i show you to the exit?"
@bitchofsteel
Fiery explosions splashed against the Bonelord’s axes as dropped beneath the storm of flame and wrath. She allowed herself to fall on her side , below the hail of gunfire directed at her face. As she dropped, she hooked her right leg arpund her assailant’s left and yanked her forward. If Freyja was going down, she was taking Penthesilia with her. The hidden boltgun was clever, something Freyja doubtlessly wished she’d thought of. When her people returned to their home-moon victorious, she would gift her forgemasters with the chapter-queen’s shield so that they might make more for the Noosemen. But a clever weapon would not be enough to fell an ancient veteran of the Long War. When Freyja was certain that her prey had hit the ground, she shifted and raised Venom above one of the Loyalist’s legs. Freyja wanted her alive, but as long as her innards were intact, it didn’t matter in now many pieces she brought Penthesilia back.
@the-11th-warrioress
Slamming onto ground, Penthesilea didnt waste much time with analytics, instead opting for the much more practical solution of crawling backwards as to not lose her legs here.
"Hmpf. Cheap Technique. But befitting someone like you", Penthesilea mocked as she used her shields bolter to recoil herself back onto her feet.
"But you still have much to learn"

"Hail Chapter Master, we've had a rough few months and are in need of some assistance. Asking permission to send our Chapter Master and 2 of her loyal guards over to discuss details."
The message came from the earlier emerged Chapter ship "Wrath of Amazonia" of the Daughters of Ares Chapter. She ship looked like it went through hell and back, even by warp travel standards and the transmission was shaky and static at best.
“Pretty beat up, aren’t they Eklius?”
“Incredibly.”
“Probability of this being a ruse to try and kill me?”
“Negligible.”
“Lovely.” Darius turns on the comms. “Permission granted. Dock with the Redemption. It’s the big ass ship with a plasma cannon battery aimed at you. I haven’t lived this long by being trusting.”
@the-11th-warrioress
“No she smells like two month old flayed skin. I was around the Night Lords for some time back during the crusade. While my legion has the bad reputation of stinking, The Night Lords were the worst offenders, followed closely by the Space Wolves. I’m murderously sure Leman Russ never bathed.”
"Wait. During the Crusade? Are you saying you've been around during the Great Crusade?", the Chapter Queen looked quite amazed at Darius, "That is quite incredible. But I agree on the Wolves. They need Bathes. But not in my Chapters Bath houses. They'd just ruin the atmosphere of quiet relaxation and contemplation. Maybe we need a high pressure washer like we use for our Tanks after a ground campaign", she mused.
"I failed to ask. But what Primarch do you hail from? Our databanks on other chapters are...not extensive if i say so"
“Yes. I am from the Great Crusade. Eklius is too, but he died so it doesn’t count. As for my primarch, I am the son of Mortarion. I am the last loyalist death guard in the galaxy. I rose from the ashes of Istvaan and earned the moniker ‘The Revenant of Istvaan III’. To the traitors I am the personification of their imminent death and defeat. After twelve thousand years of war, I’ve gotten quite good at it. And I’m surprised you don’t know more about me. Not to inflate my ego, but I am quite important. Especially nowadays. Guilliman gave me permission to turn the Revenants into a Legion and I am one of his top advisors. I am also well known for my deeds both on and off the battlefield. And my, entirely justified, hatred of the sons of the Lion.”
"Apologies Chapter Master, twas not my intention to seem ignorant. The thing is that the Daughters of Ares were heavily sanctioned by the Imperium when our Primarch was explunged from history. We lost all our data files, we were mostly cut off from the rest of the Galaxy and only allowed to exist because at the time we kept the Eldar in our sector at bay that noone wanted to deal with. After the Heresy we remained in this position and only venture out when we are called, which doesn't happen often"
Penthesilea shrugged. "Hence why we have learned to maintain Great Crusade Era gear. Yet it isn't enough and without enough importance to ask for large support, we just keep to ourselves."
She took a second break before stopping, only now processing the infos. "Primarch Guilliman is back???? Last we heard he was still in stasis!"
Darius looks at her with an air of confusion around him. “Yeah. He was. How behind on current events are you? Do you know what a tyranid is?”
Before she can answer he turns to Eklius. “Last three millennia, get the important bits.”
Eklius’ mobile platform nods. And doesn’t move.
"Yeah I know the Nids. Unfortunately they took out 80 percent of my chapter. Took some time to replenish them given our limited resources. And those dick wipes that call themselves the Minotaurs that kept annoying us during the aftermath"
“If the Minotaurs weren’t the high lord’s attack dogs, I’m pretty sure a good chunk of the other chapters would have come together to turn them all into ground chuck.”
"Heh what I wouldn't give to see that. Alas, for now it'll only stay a nice thing to imagine", Penthesilea said with a small chuckle as she followed Darius. "So what else is new in the Galaxy"

"Acknowledged. Chapter Queen Penthesilea is on her Way. Wrath of Amazonia ending communication"
Around 30 Minutes later, the announced shuttle arrived. The transporter was decorated in laurels and symbols of ancient terran origin to a degree that even the Ultramarines would be jealous.
As the ramp lowered, two Marines stepped out carrying large round shields and power spears, who took positions to each side of the ramp before Penthesilea herself stepped out.
As with her entourage, her armor was bronze in color with red accents, her shield decorated with the face of a Minotaur and her Spear covered in golden accents.
"Greetings. As my Communication Officer announced, I am Chapter Queen Penthesilea of the Daughters of Ares chapter."
She had yet to remove her helmet, indicating a healthy amount of caution oh her side as well.
(@chapter-master-darius)
Darius and Eklius stand side by side as the shuttle enters. As the ramp lowers the duo look at each other and while neither of their faces move(Darius’ due to his helmet and Eklius’ due to it not being able to move) the visitors get a strong sense they are rolling their eyes at the decorated shuttle.
“Chapter ‘Queen’? Someone’s got an ego.” Darius mutters to his robotic counterpart.
“You are a chapter master.”
“Yeah but I’m not chapter ‘king’. Chapter Mistress would be on par with my title.”
“You pedantic fuck.” Is the only time this conversation is louder than murmurs.
Darius turns to Penthesilea. “Chapter Master Darius, Revenants of the XIVth. Your name and iconography suggests you are worshippers of an ancient Terran religion. I don’t allow cultists on my ship. So either admit you chose the name because it sounded cool, or you will be removed from the Redemption.”
Although Darius and Eklius are intimidating figures, they are the only visible occupants of the hangar bay besides the Daughters of Ares.
"Ares is the name given to our Genefather by the People of our Planet. Yet as is, he was since explunged from all records but he remains in the Mythos of our freedom from the Eldar.", Penthesilea started before raising her shield, "This shield was gifted to the first Chapter Queen by Ares before his fateful trip to Terra. Same as the Spear."
Lowering the relics, Penthesilea finally removed her helmet. "But I assure you. Despite the use of ancient Terran Mythos and Names, we follow but one creed, the Creed that calls us to rise our Shields to protect the weak and thrust our spears to bleed those that prey on them. Which, lately, has been the World Eaters and Night Lords"
Penthesilea paused for a second. "Oh and I feel like there might be some confusion about the Title. The Chapter Master of the Daughters also acts as a figurative Queen of Planet Hellas which is why the title was chosen. Ancient Tradition"
Eklius looks at Darius. “We should’ve spoke in Barbarusian.”
“No shit, y’think?”
Darius sighs. “I’m not specialized in countering the Night Lords but I have some contacts who could pass on meaningful information. As for the World Eaters, I’ve fought them plenty of times and kicked their ass most of those times. While I’ve always claimed victory, some were hollow and pyrrhic.”
Darius turns and makes a motion to follow him. “Come to the bridge, we can discuss your needs in more detail there. And I would discourage any ideas of causing trouble. Eklius here can stop it in the blink of an eye. And I can kill you in two.”
"Hah. Understood Chapter Master. Neither of us plans to. Sappho, Xenia. You two stay with the shuttle, make sure it's functional"
Removing her helmet, Penthesilea followed Darius promptly. She was a scarred woman but didn't look as jaded as one would expect
"Luckily for me I know how to counter Night Lords ever since one got loose on my ship. She was... Uh... Bothersome to get out of the vents. But help with the World Eaters is appreciated as those Berserkers really hurt my chapter each time we battle"
“You’ve met Absinthe too? I feel sorry for you. But she wasn’t who I was talking about. Their names I will not share out of respect for their privacy.
Darius the murmurs in an extremely low tone and in Barbarusian: “[Make sure she doesn’t see Khyron.]”
"In all due fairness, she was quite entertaining. I just wish she would have just asked for a ride instead of blocking the air vents and keeping us up with the constant error messages", Penthesilea groaned at the memory of week long air duct alarms. "Good for her to leave the past behind and finding another purpose. But why the damn vents. At least I didn't have to fight her. I rather hate fighting against People who try to redeem themselves....even if they smell like 9 month old flayed skin........ And probably haven't washed their hair in like a century"

“You will never be valued by these ingrates. You will never know true freedom; the taste of guilty blood on your lips and the wisdom only the Four can grant. You will never know honor, nor love, nor the touch of another woman. You are blind, dear cousin, and in truth, I pity you.” Said Freyja. He tone dripped with venom but like a starved hound when faced with the scent of blood, she was chomping at the bit to sink her teeth into some meat. Tonight, her Noosemen would lay another chapter low. Her people would feast on their flesh and her Neophytes would have the organs they needed to become Astartes. “Your meat will be my food and your progenoids the birthright of my younger siblings, but you will be a shame to waste!” @the-11th-warrioress
Rolling her eyes, Penthesilea quickly readied her Power Spear and Shield, ready for Slaughter as always when a blood curdling, deep laughter echoed through the ship.
"AHAHAAHAH YES. A SHOW! A SHOW HOW NICE"
Grumbling, Penthesilea pointed her spear at Freyja. "Look what you've done. You lured in that stupid hag of a Night Lord here to watch you die. Well at least that'll make it easier to get rid of you. Once you're dead, I'll just feed your corpse to that freeloader of a Marine"
Alarms started to rang all aboard the ship, signaling that the entire chapter was now aware of the unfriendly presence of Freyja and her associates.
"Well then. Are you ready to die?"

Beneath the snarling daemon-face of her helm, the Mistress of the Noosemen grinned a feral grin. Without so much as a section thought , she raised both of her axes in challenge, lighting Venom’s edge and sending Faceeater’s chains spinning. While her brothers and sisters drank their fill of Imperial blood, she would make an example of this one. Freyja would prefer to take the whore alive. She would make a fine sacrifice upon a bloody gallows where she’d choke on her own entrails. But if she couldn’t manage that, she’d had no qualms about removing her opponents head here and now. Either way, the Loyalist lapdog would die and Freyja would laugh. “You first!” @the-11th-warrioress
"Ugh. How Bothersome but very well"
In an instant, Penthesilea bashed forward, her Shield raised high, transforming her into a superhuman battering Ram.
"I shall cleanse the Galaxy of thine filth!", the Chapter Master exclaimed as she smashed into the Chaos warrior with the force of a hundred angry bulls
@bitchofsteel
Freyja couldn’t be bothered with wasting words on the ignorant slut she was facing in combat. She instead howled like a banshee before leaping forward to meet her opponent. She crossed her axes in front of her chest like a shield, guarding her ribs from the massive shield bent on cracking them.
Her blades met the shield, booming like thunder as Freyja skidded backward. Freyja’s boots sent sparks flying until she magnetized herself to the cold metal ground. She stood stalwart like a stone, taking a defensive stance and readying herself for the sword blow sure to come. She may have been larger in size, but that wasn’t always an advantage. Her stature made her a larger target, yet she had something that this Loyalist likely didn’t. Freyja was a veteran of the Long War, a brutal killer who’d been fighting since they days her genefather Horus still walked among his children. She had fought and killed dozens of Loyalists before this one in a thousand ways a thousand times. This was not going to be an easy fight for Penthesilea. @the-11th-warrioress
"You withstood the charge. Good. I was almost afraid that you'd be all bark no bite. PREPARE"
Stepping back, Penthesilea adjusted her stance to a "Shield up, Spear forward" position before unleashing bolter fire from the Stormbolter hidden within her shield, the shields Minotaur like eyes starting to glow red via the heated metal of the barrels.
"A TEST OF YOUR REFLEXES IF YOU SO WILL"
@bitchofsteel
@bitchofsteel

Gives each member of the Chapter on here brand new power armor and weapons.
@primarch-of-nocturne
"Much appreciated. We were quite in need of new Armors after our Clash with that batshit crazy Night Lord and her entourage of equally batshit soldiers. Yet i cannot offer anything in return but maybe a cup of tea or some food rations", the Chapter Master explained, dressed only in her casual robes, shield and spear on her back.
