yeah yeah rainbow capitalism is bad and whatever but like. when I was a child, being pro gay was not the popular or lucrative choice. I'm happy that times have changed.

I miss rainbow capitalism. I do. I miss when it felt like public opinion was still pro gay. I understand it was always an empty gesture, but it mattered in a sense of knowing how socially acceptable being queer is. If that makes sense.

Is rainbow capitalism deeply cynical in nature and just a way for companies to profit off social movements? Yes, but it was also a pretty good sign when entities focused solely on profit decided it was worth it to try to cosplay as progressive, and deeply concerning how many companies started inching away from it again cause that's a sign that the wind's turning

I feel like I need to share this because idk if Europeans are familiar with the presence of Aldi in the US, but at least especially in my area they’ve been growing a lot recently. Like Aldi bought out some local failing grocery chains where I live (Louisiana) and have opened Aldis in all these somewhat rural communities and small towns, which for the record I’m fine with

But as a result of this they are advertising a lot more in my area and also in many cases, the people in these areas have never been confronted with Aldi or any European grocery store. So the ads that Aldi is pushing out to its new US customer base feature a cowboy shopping at Aldi who is explaining to new Aldi customers how Aldi works. Like this cowboy is explaining you gotta put a quarter in the shopping cart and why there are very little name brands. A cowboy is how they want to reach their American customer base. They gave us a cowboy

Best and worst gay rep in Warhammer?

Best is Obyron and Zahndrekh. They’re older gay couple rep that explore themes of loyalty, love under classism, living with mental illness, supporting each other, and trust. Very important stuff. Also an evil bougie twink tries to break them up and Obyron beats him to death, which is very based.

Worst gay rep is Vect and Hesperax respectively because they keep sabotaging each other and falling out and really we should be avoiding division and supporting 👏 each 👏 other 👏
