“I-It’s alright.” She told the other, smiling rather nervously. “Y-Yes, lots of the paranormal novels we have are about ghosts and haunting’s… We also have some involving things like aliens and sea monsters, wedigo’s, shadow people, ghouls and banshee’s… I.. I can show you where we keep all the paranormal books if you would like…” She paused. “W-We have quite a large selection of lots of genre’s.”

Luka was a bit relieved to see her change in actions. She seemed far less angry, and more interested in the books. She smiled. T-They’re just over here.” She looked at one of the books in her hands, putting it in it’s proper place on the shelf before leading the other down the isles.

“Here we are…” She reached up to put another book away, but paused, instead holding it out to the girl. “T-This section is all about the paranormal and monsters. This one is a romance novel, but it’s mostly about ghosts.”

“Romance?” She hadn’t read a romance book in such a long time. Taking the book hesitantly, she stared at its bland cover. It didn’t really have a design on it.. just the title engraved in the surface. Opening the book there was a page describing what it was about. Some sort of.. haunted.. love.. thing.. She thought to herself, but she was definitely interested. People that are in love with ghosts? Or their old lovers haunting them? It seemed like a mashup of a few different things. Holding it tightly in her grasps, she turned her body towards the bookshelf.

There were far more paranormal books here than she thought there was. She wasn’t even sure where to start really. She .. couldn’t buy all of them. And it was definitely not good for her to buy too many because then she might get bored of the genre! Or not like the book and be a bit sad. “Ah.. uh... how does this store work?” She asked, feeling a bit silly. Some book stores had an exchange program sort of thing.. you could purchase or rent books in a way and then.. buy them if you liked them. Or be able to sell books back to the store. “S..Sorry that sounds stupid. I just.. didn’t know if this was only a.. buy books.. kind of store” now Naomi felt like she was being more stupid. Her explanation made almost no sense but then she felt too awkward to elaborate.

Reaching a hand out, she picked a random one. One the cover was a ghoulish face with gaping black holes where the eyes should be. It was a bit scary, but to Naomi it just looked plain weird. Flipping it over, she decided it wasn’t the book for her - it looked too cheesy, like the other scary books she tried to read. This continued for a short amount of time before she finally stopped and took a good amount of time reading the back of the book over and over. “Have you read this novel before? It says it’s about some man that’s been talking a group of teens.”

It had been quiet for a few minutes as the two browsed the books. Luka quickly had her hands full of books that had been misplaced, and she wandered around to find their homes. She didn’t notice the other look down the isles, but she heard the other stomp towards her. She turned with a smile, but it quickly fell and she flinched at the other girls expression.

She looked so angry, and for a moment, Luka wondered if it was her fault that the other was so upset. Had she done something wrong again? It wouldn’t be the first time she had accidentally upset a customer. Taking a deep breath to try and calm down, she held one of the books tightly to her chest.

“A-Ah… W-Well w-we have some new p-paranormal novels in… A-And some new romance stories… D-Do you have a preference…?” She asked nervously.

“Paranormal?” Naomi inquired, his voice raising in curiosity. It had been quite some time before she touched a book relating to any sort of ghost story.. but then again, but paranormal only relate to ghosties? “So ... like ... ghosts? Hauntings?” She asked for clarification, taking one too many steps close to the worker before immediately stumbling back the equal amount. She was getting a little too excited she supposed; now that she was calming down a bit in such a quiet area, she was allowing herself to not be so tense.

“The last book I read was some silly collection of kid’s tales.. some folklore and legends that were supposed to teach lessons or something.. what’s the book about? Can you tell me?” She asked, one too many questions following out one after the other. Was she being too overwhelming? Clamping her mouth shut immediately, the young girl pushed her clasped hands into her chest and took another couple of steps back. Books made her so interested, so happy. She always felt at home and peaceful when a book was clasped between her hands, and he thoughts were reading aloud the words her eyes grazed over. “I-I’m sorry” Naomi stuttered out awkwardly.
