@the-brooding-bat Hey, B, I think we should really.. really look into this hacker.
Hn...fine, I'll figure it out.
I wouldn’t worry too much. After all, it is a rather harmless hacker. So far, whoever this is seems more interested in pranks than any actual harm.
It doesn't hurt to be cautious, Diana. I will look into it.
“DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD.” Cherry flung herself into his arms. “Wait is this the right universe or…you know who j am, right Batsie?”
@cherrypop-gothamgirl
[Bruce turned at the sound of a yell, and caught the offending missile-child as she lunged at him, stepping back with a grunt. His brows creased slightly as she kept talking, he didn't know this girl, but it appeared an alternate version of him did. He wasn't surprised, merely contemplative. She knew where the Cave was, and knew he was Batman even though he was out of the suit right now. He highly doubted she was lying, but the old paranoia kicked in regardless and he decided to be cautious.]
"Wrong universe."
[Bruce replied, trying not to sound gruff while talking to someone who might be one of his alternate self's children.]
"I'm sorry, I don't. Another version of myself adopted you, I presume?"
“Yeah- I tend to shift universes a lot…some of them are hard to distinguish between…my bad. Another version of you adopted me, yeah. I like being in your company, every universe’s company. So can I stay and hang out with you? Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee?”
[Bruce listened to her explanation, and it checked out. He's seen several alternate versions of his own children, and there's no reason why this version of him couldn't have adopted another child. He'd be watching her closely but she didn't seem to be much of a threat...not yet at least.]
"Hrn...yes, you can."
[He gently set her down. She seemed to be around Jason's age.]
"May I ask your name?"
“I’m Mara!” She grinned, staying clinging to him even though she was set down. She seemed very…affectionate? “Ooo I wonder if you know this universes me! I probably interviewed you before or something. Soooooo tell me everything! I wanna know how this universe is different to mine.” She swung her legs like a little kid
[Bruce noted the name—and her clinginess, deducing that she must have had a rough childhood, and her version of him must have been among the first to treat her well. A familiar pang shot through his chest at the thought of a hurt child, and decided to let her cling to him without saying anything about it]
"Perhaps, I can't recall right now." He thought. "Where would you like me to begin?
“Uhmmmmmm events of the last year? Oh and what happened to Jason? Because usually the universes are dependent on what happens to him and Tim. I went to a universe where Jason didn’t get killed, just tortured for years- and it fucked up the universe. And there was one where Dick joined the court of owls as a kid…so events of the last year and what happened to all of your Robins. That’s usually a good starting point.”
She clambered onto his lap and mindlessly plaited his short hair, head tilted against his jaw. She was weirdly childish
[Bruce stiffened slightly as she spoke. Jason being tortured for 5 years? And he didn't find his son? How much had he failed in this universe? He knew of the possibility of Dick becoming a Talon at a young age, since he'd uncovered the connections between the Court and Haly's Circus a while ago, but to think of a universe where it actually happened is...chilling. Bruce knew he had failed his children, but to imagine such a world where it was this bad..? He couldn't think about it without feeling sick.]
"Dick is fine...he's Nightwing right now. Jason..."
[Bruce trailed off, not wanting to say it. That he failed his boy.]
"..he died, but he is back now. Tim is alright, he's Red Robin, Steph is Spoiler...I'm still unclear on whether or not she...died." [He cleared his throat.] "Damian is Robin, and Duke is Signal. They all come around every now and then, but Damian is the only one who lives at the manor full-time."
[Bruce doesn't mind the clinginess, it makes him happy when people trust him enough.]
“Huh. Sounds weirdly like my universe. But I know you aren’t MY Batsie, clearly. So I wonder what could be different…” she hummed, curling up more and finishing off some plaits, “Is joker dead? That’s usually an important question.”
[Bruce frowned. The Joker...dead? That was concerning considering the venom in him which transfers to the killer...he wondered if someone like that was in her world, or if that was the one world where the venom didn't spread.]
"No. Not here."
“B?”
Tim asks as he enters the batcave, having changed from his suit to more comfortable pajamas, shoulder length hair still wet with rain.
He wants to go to bed, but his hands twitch with anxiety at the thought of leaving when there is still work to be done.
“Mad Hatter’s been taken care of. Is there anything else I should do?”
{@caffeine-and-coldcases}
[Bruce looked over at the call, chair creaking under him as he turned fully to face Tim. His eyes caught the anxious movement and he exhaled slowly through his nose, standing up and walking towards Tim]
"There's nothing else tonight, you should go get some rest."
[Bruce hesitated for a second, before placing a hand on Tim's shoulder.]
"Good work tonight.
Tim nodded hesitantly, letting out a sigh.
"You sure? I can work on cases if there's any. But, thanks."
He yawned, rubbing his eyes as he leaned into the hand on his shoulder.
"Go to bed, Tim."
[He replied, not willing to budge on this matter, the boy looked half-asleep standing up.]
"If I do find something interesting for you, I'll save it until tomorrow, unless it's urgent."
"Fine. Promise you'll wake me if it's urgent?"
They ask, fighting back another yawn. Tim doesn't know why they're so exhausted, maybe exposure from a new toxin from Ivy? Or.... How long has it been since he slept? Several days, he thought.
"Yes, now go to bed."
[Bruce said without flinching, though he didn't intend on keeping that promise in the slightest. Bruce repressed a sigh and steered Tim to the elevator himself, and realised it was well past 12AM.]
"Happy birthday son."
Tim grumbled but agreed, letting Bruce steer him towards the elevator. He wants to protest, but he's exhausted and just happy to have his dad's mentor's attention.
At Bruce's words, he glanced at the batcomputer as he entered the elevator.
"Oh... Thanks, B." He smiled slightly. "Wow. I didn't even realize."
[Bruce softened slightly as the elevator rose.]
"We'll do something for you in the morning."
[He walked them both to Tim's room.]
"Sleep for now."
Tim nodded, sighing. He hesitated for a moment, before turning to give Bruce a quick hug.
"Thanks, B. Goodnight."
[Bruce stiffened at the sudden hug before leaning into it and hugging Tim back.]
"Goodnight."
Batman, do you have a TO3?
No. I do not waste my time with such things.

//yo, i blocked her a few months ago since she said something bad about my friend(and she'll rant to me unpromptly, it was making my mental health horrible). Uh if you still interact with that Martha/Voids please unfollow me, block me or whatever. I want NOTHING to do with her and no connection to her. Thanks
//OOC and drama everyone ignore this if you don't care. I just ain't playing tag games about it. I'm tired and its upsetting Cody. But im the one they reposted from(had to tell them to let me answer)
Martha/Voids,
I’m going to be honest with you, because I don’t think sugarcoating this is going to help anyone: what you posted does not read as a proper apology to me.
An apology requires acknowledging what happened, taking responsibility for your own actions, showing that you understand why those actions affected other people, and ideally explaining what you intend to do differently going forward. You cannot really do that while simultaneously dismissing everything people have brought up as “false accusations.” Some of the concerns surrounding you have come from things people have directly witnessed, screenshots that exist, or experiences people themselves have had with you. You may disagree with how those situations have been interpreted, but simply declaring every criticism false does not make the underlying concerns disappear.
Regarding the incest-related content specifically: yes, it is fiction. That does not mean everyone is required to be comfortable with it.
People are allowed to have boundaries around fictional subjects, particularly content that they find disturbing, upsetting, or personally sensitive. Nobody owes you—or anyone else—a detailed explanation of their personal history before they are allowed to say, “I do not want to see or interact with this.” Proper tagging, warnings, and respecting people’s ability to curate their own spaces are important for exactly that reason.
That also includes blocking.
If someone blocks you, they are establishing a boundary. You do not have to like the reason. You do not have to agree with what they think of you. But they are still allowed to decide that they no longer want contact or interaction with you.
The same applies to Cody. He was allowed to speak about his own thoughts and experiences publicly. You may believe he should have approached you privately, but he was not obligated to do so, particularly if he had already decided that he did not want direct contact with you. I am not interested in arguing over whether every word he used was perfect; the point is that someone blocking you or publicly discussing their own experience is not, by itself, a violation of your boundaries.
The larger issue for me is that none of this appears to be one isolated misunderstanding anymore.
There has been conflict after conflict involving different people. People have distanced themselves. People have blocked you. Situations repeatedly become public arguments, callouts, accusations, counter-accusations, and discussions about boundaries. I have personally seen people express that they felt uncomfortable or unsafe continuing to interact with you.
I am not going to claim that I speak for every person in the DC RP community. I don’t. I also will not say that literally everyone hates you, because neither I nor anyone else can honestly speak for an entire community.
But I do think you need to seriously consider the fact that similar conflicts continue happening with different people.
At some point, when multiple unrelated relationships repeatedly end in the same kind of hostility, it is worth stepping back and asking whether there is something about your own behavior or the way you respond to conflict that is contributing to that pattern. Treating every criticism as a lie, an attack, or someone else deliberately trying to cause drama leaves no room for self-reflection.
And because of everything I have watched happen, I am going to be very direct about something else:
I genuinely think you should consider leaving the DC RP community.
I am not saying that because I believe I have the authority to banish you from a fandom. I don’t. I cannot force you to leave, and ultimately you will make whatever decision you choose.
I am saying it because remaining in this community does not appear healthy anymore—for you or for many of the people who repeatedly become caught up in these situations.
There has been so much ongoing conflict that I genuinely question what anyone is gaining from continuing this cycle. If being in this community repeatedly results in arguments, callouts, broken friendships, people blocking one another, and everyone feeling increasingly hostile or distressed, then stepping away should at least be seriously considered.
Maybe that means leaving permanently. Maybe that means taking a long break, separating yourself from the current situation, and reflecting on how these interactions keep reaching this point before deciding whether returning would actually be beneficial.
But I do not think continuing exactly as things are now is good for anyone involved.
You may believe that you have been treated unfairly in every individual situation. You may genuinely disagree with what people have said about you. I am not asking you to blindly accept every accusation anyone has ever made.
I am asking you to recognize that when conflicts with different people continue producing remarkably similar outcomes, dismissing every single one as someone else’s fault is not going to change anything.
I am saying all of this because I would rather clearly explain what I believe the problem is than resort to vagueposting, insults, or simply telling you that everyone hates you. This is my own perspective, and I am taking responsibility for saying it myself.
You are free to disagree with me.
But I am not interested in turning this into another prolonged public argument where everyone spends days going back and forth trying to have the final word. I have said what I needed to say, and my honest recommendation remains that you step away from this community and seriously reflect on whether continuing to participate in it is actually helping you or anyone around you.
After this, I am stepping away from the situation myself.
Please respect that boundary.
This will be my last statement on the matter.
//Apply for Barry or Wally, you won’t. *chicken sounds*
//IM GONNA MAKE A BARRY ACCOUNT THAN NOT APPLY OUT OF SPITE
