Another pokemon rp sideblog of @too-many-hyperfixations , who has already created @xxfrosted-heartxx . OOC posts will be tagged Mod Icy Speaks just like my other pokeblog for convenience. Hi! Call me Vapor, you freaks don't get my real name bc I still have a mafia after me and this is the internet. ...They ain't good at being mafia people, but the point stands. Sometimes my gf is gonna wanna yell into my void here and who am I to deny the urge to scream? Cafe updates will be posted here too for those of our patrons who want to know the latest before coming in. If those posts annoy you, just block the tag "Café Updates", which may be a lot bc most of our customers are pokemon and Idk the owners. That said, I'm guessing y'all want more elaboration on the title of this blog. Me and my gf managed to break free of Giovanni's grip with the help of some of our, ahem, gifted patrons. Now we run the cafe together and live on the non-cafe floor! We have an eevee as our companion. He has no desire to evolve, and that's best for all of us because I'm used to normal types as you can imagine. You might be asking why we have no rattata. Seeing as we get to be free from crime, we decided that our rattatas should get to choose if they wanna start a new chapter in their lives with someone else too. Both of them went to a reputable shelter to find someone to live with without worrying about TR sending people after them. As for the space and time thing? Here's a phrase I've learned to use a good amount: Don't worry about it.

BRITTANY UPDATE

ok so its been a little while since my original brittany post and a lot has happened since then

first of all TYSM to rotomblr users @gladeoaurus and @the-cafe-between-space-and-time for explaining what was going on with her! i was super freaked out and these guys helped a bunch.

alright, heres what ive learned…

brittany is a sneasler! sneasler evolves from a regional form of sneasel from ancient sinnoh when the region was called hisui. when i learned that i went straight to the lumiose museum since its showing an ancient hisui exhibition rn (check it out if youre local)!

the exhibition was mostly focused on the culture and way of life but i saw some old pokédex research and sketches by a guy called professor laventon. looked him up online and found some restored images of his original pokédex! huge win.

the dex entry for sneasel says its claws are venomous and made for climbing cliffs, which makes a lot of sense (brittany has always been a bit of a rock climber), but what im most interested in is the dex entry for sneasler.

sneasler is apparently a solitary pokémon that doesnt form packs! very different from weavile, since they have to cooperate on attacks to make up for their small size. sneasler is also friendlier with humans and other pokémon, with some records from ancient hisui saying it carried people up cliffs on its back!

its been so great to learn more about brittany. it explains a lot (the strange colouration, the way she never seemed to get on with other sneasels, the fighting/poison typing) and i know shes gonna make me a better trainer.

Hisuian! That’s a sneasler, back from when sneasels had a ton of resources to evolve big without consequence! Nowadays, they evolve into weaviles and stay within narrower altitudes, not sure how you got your hands on this guy.

i found her on a camping trip but i was in kalos i have no idea jow she get all the way here from sinnoh. is long distance travel typical of hisuian sneasels?

i took her in because she seemed to be all on her own, no pack or anything and she was really friendly right off the bat which is weird for sneasels. im gonna have to do some research on sneasler. tysm for explaining!

Long distance travel is possible for them thanks to sneaslers being pretty AWESOME climbers, but it’s not typical. You said she was without a pack or anything though, which would explain why she was playing nice instead of getting territorial or defensive on you for getting close. I think she was trying to buddy up with you, and succeeded!

for example, whenever i stare at a mirror for just a little too long, there are times where i feel as if i do not recognize that girl in the mirror. it unnerves me to no end. i wish i knew what to do.
