Sorry if this eventually gets addressed in your FAQ over at ed-quisition but I am curious as to whether or not elvhen Ed Elric is from a Dalish clan? Or is he a city elf? Did he ever go to a Circle before losing his arm or is he more of Hawke: lifelong apostate? I have had Thoughts and I'm curious about your version!
Because I know I’m not gonna do this justice and I tend to ramble needlessly I’m taking the answer directly from @corvus-colluder because she’s an angel and has a way with words that I do not.
—–Okay, so Ed is definitely not Dalish. He has some issues with the Dalish in that he thinks his dad was Dalish who fucked off to maker knows where. Ed was born in a tiny Anders village and he’s lived as a lifelong apostate (and got some magical education from another apostate named Izumi Curtis alongside his brother). That is, until That Night when he and Al did The Thing and got First Enchanter Roy Mustang on his ass.
Ed and Al have been flying under the radar since then with the help of Mustang, trying to track down a way to bring back their bodies whilst acting as informants for Roy up in his tower.

For the most part we’ve tried to carry over a lot of the FMA:B storyline into the DA universe with changes made where they’re needed. We’ve yet to decide how the homunculi tie in. Hohenheim, despite what his son thinks, isn’t actually Dalish despite having valleslin.
As far as the @the-edquisition goes, we’ve yet to actually receive any asks so our FAQ is rather
Empty atm.
The ask box should be open however so you’re welcome to ask what you’d like!
OOH OOOH
This person had the idea that the Homunculi were basically super powerful demons. I though that was nifty because if their goal is to prey off of vulnerable mages and Pride is still a powerful political figure within the Chantry then they are CREATING this oppressive system that thrives off of the general fear of mages making them even more susceptible to possession.
And then I also had this vague idea that the Raw Fade/Black City was like the portal of Truth.
Is Alphonse a Stone Golem in your version?
(I would have sent this as an ask but wanted to include the link).
He sure is! Big as ever and yes, he uses augmentation crystals because if he’s gonna be a big hunk of rock he’s gonna be a good looking big hunk of rock.
As for the homunculi as demons thing that actually ties in nicely! We’ve sort of got the inquisition plot going alongside Ed and Al’s journey to get their bodies back so there’s plenty of opportunity to tie the two together.
By Trespasser, they succeed but…well we all know how that ends in regards to the anchor and by that point Ed’s just done losing limbs and wants that fuck out of that herald business.
He is very much not happy with being used as some religious icon to a god he doesn’t even believe in. But I think that was a given.
Corvus:
I don’t want to say too much about this because I’m going to either draw it or write it, but rest assured that Father is indeed in this universe and he is in no way a demon, though he does have a connection to the Fade. He’s out there in Thedas, somewhere, lurking. Plotting. He’s been doing so for a long, long time. And in regards to the homunculi, whether or not they are actual demons is up in the air. They’re... something. They do have a very strong connection to the Fade, though.
As for the Truth... Well. Pas-cal and I have big plans for the Truth. I can tell you this: the Gate does exist in the AU. It’s deep, deep inside the Fade as a home for the Truth, and it is rarely stumbled upon. Those that do regret it very, very much. There were gods that would refuse point blank to encroach upon its territory.
