Like I’ve mentioned a few times over at @the-merciful-angel, the blog is on hiatus. The simple matter of fact is that my interest in the fandom has died off and as such activity here will be few and far between from now on.

So if anyone has wondered why I’m not active here or anything else, that is why.

Emily tosses her hair over a shoulder before propping on hand on a canted hip.

“Oh really?” She looked her partner over, the actions exaggerated as she pretended to look for illness.

“Well, I suppose this means we up your life insurance, hm, pet? Just in case? And get you started on treatment. Immediately.”

She mimed pulling out a bottle of medication, reading the invisible label carefully.

“Well, I see it says here that the prescription says ‘take as needed’, so I suppose the question is…”

                “How much Emily IS needed, hm?”

When Lena disappears for the third time, Emily is able to watch. The first was years before they met, when she was still in uni and still engaged and still learning how to be a good person. She didn’t care then- it was just another cocked up experiment of Overwatch’s.

The second time she saw a replay of the capture of Doomfist, a flash of blue and the choking, gasping terror of Tracer as she skittered about like colors on a monitor with a bad cable. She saw the terror and she briefly felt for the woman- she knew what real terror felt like now, so she could sympathize.

The third time was live broadcast- something that had her pressed to the edge of the counter, the control for the television in her hand now that she had wrestled it from the barista. Her hand was still wrapped around his, keeping him from making another grab at it- she didn’t care if it didn’t fit the mood of the cafe. Her partner was there and she had seen blood. They could change the channel over her cold corpse, and only if she wasn’t still fighting.

She could see the accelerator better now, now that the cameraperson was focusing on it. She vaguely worried about what sort of moron would get that close to an active fight then she discarded the thought.

Her focus was on Lena, and on her acxelerator. She had spent enough time looking at it and looking at schematics with winston and just living with the thing for three years to know something was off about it.

The world felt as if it had stopped, eternity opening up before her as she watched Lena flicker once….

Twice…

And then disappear.

 —————     the  pure  DRAMATICS  that  lena  put  on  as  she  fell  and  shot back  in  retaliation  made  hana  fall  to  her  knees,  expression  pained  and  grim.  she  let  out  a  soft,  almost  airless  gasp,  her  hands  dropping  to  her  sides  before  she  slumped  over.

            and  then  fingergunned  lena  back,  despite  her  death.

Such a sad fate, the rising star and our hero had fallen victim to such a tragedy. She could almost not help but grin a little, finding the situation quite so funny. With her being shot again, clearly there was no hope.

However her cat was a bit less impressed by the drama, instead walking up to the two and bumping its head against Hana’s side while Lena was sitting there initially with an expression to match her friend’s...which quickly disappeared when she saw her cat.

“...Meowda you’re interrupting the drama.” Clearly the most important thing here, okay not really. A big part of her mind was just now occupied by the cat in question.

"And that was how I spent my week, why we have a bunch of masks that look suspiciously familiar & why you're not allowed to leave anytime soon." Emily finished, arms tightening around Lena in their little blanket cocoon. "I'm serious I need my hero here to save my dumb arse since clearly I need watching." A cheeky grin preceded a flurry of pecks & smooches to the side of Lena's face, neck and wherever she could reach. Alright, most of this was just an excuse to cuddle lena, but she deserved it.

She couldn’t help but smile at hearing her partner tell the story of her week, a fairly regular occurrence but it was simply nice. To hear her voice, to hear the small things that Emily always took note off and the small tangents that she could go on.

Placing her own arms around Emily the situation she was in right now could only be described as comfortable, just side-by-side with her loved one under a couple blankets.

“I need you as well, my little teaspoon.” As soon as she got the chance she left a few tiny pecks on Emily’s forehead.

Does she still keep in contact with people she served with in the military? Who is the person she remembers the most? Does she have a particular superior she did or didn't like? How did basic training go for her?

Does she still keep in contact with people she served with in the military?Not really, she did try initially but for the most part, it was difficult to get in contact with them.

Who is the person she remembers the most?That has to be Margaret, the two talked a lot during basic training and Lena had a tiny crush on her. She was a very outgoing person and almost as positive as she herself was.The two did sadly lose contact after the slipstream incident.

Does she have a particular superior she did or didn’t like?She didn’t really dislike any superior, but one of them she did meet in a bar once outside of work and had a good time talking to.

How did basic training go for her?Outstanding, even if she can seem a bit unfocused at times to most people when push comes to show she is an amazing pilot. Maybe not the best out there, but with how she was chosen for the slipstream I think it shows that she was trusted and skilled enough to be considered a good choice.

Surprised was one word she could use to describe the situation, while she was used to people reacting to her presence. Usually, it was either some fan or someone with more malicious intent and less often worship.

“It’s flattering luv, but...you know it’s kinda creepy, right?” Better be honest than anything, reluctantly offering the young woman in front of her a hand so she could stand up again and maybe make things a bit less awkward. Heck, maybe she can get an explanation to why it seemed like a good idea by her.

Just going to slip her hand into tracers jacket pocket to keep her hand warm. " you need to wear pants with pockets on them. Leggings are not great for stealth butt grabs"

It was honestly fairly cute to have her partner warm their hands in her pockets, it just meant the two could keep close to one another. Though then the small ‘fashion advice’ came and she couldn’t help but laugh a bit.

“I’ll consider it, luv.” Of course, consider it meant that she’d definitely do it in the near future. Though honestly, both knew that either of them would skip the stealth part of the butt grab if given the chance to get away with it.

This was not really a complicated thing to answer, most people she knew already had great experience and knowledge about who she lived with honestly.That didn’t make her less than pleased to be able to talk to someone about it

“Well, I live with Emily, my wonderful partner. We’ve a small cat called Meowda who is a butt at times.” She paused for a bit as if thinking of where to continue from there but soon continued and went into what could only be described as rambling about her partner.
