About Me! (Second Edition)

Hey guys, welcome to my main blog! My username used to be lonk-the-twonk, but I've changed it and you can call me En! I use they/them pronouns and identify as agender, I'm queer, mentally ill, and neurodivergent, so...do with that what you will.

I will usually go from being really active here to having stints of absolutely nothing because I don't have the energy. I'm hoping to become more active, but we shall see.

I'm in many fandoms at the moment but my most prevalent ones are Marvel, The Walking Dead, Alien Stage, The Legend of Zelda, Legends of Avantris, Game of Thrones, and Hades!

Double-edged sword for me….. the films themselves are incredible, ie Obsession, Backrooms (and I’m soon to see Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma from my favorite director, Jane Schoenbrun, which I’m super excited for), but I also feel like horror movie fandoms are getting. worse. lmao.

I feel like more people should absolutely get into horror as a genre and shake off their ick towards it but on the other hand, Obsession specifically being so popular has brought in new horror fans who do NOT understand that it is, above all, a movie 💀 the amount of people I see taking a moral high ground in the comments of someone’s Obsession AU art and being like how DARE you make an AU of this 😨😨😨😨😨 is actually hilarious because. It’s a movie. Yes, the topic is serious. But people are forgetting horror is FICTIONNNN IT’S NOT REAL NIKKI AND BEAR FROM OBSESSION ARE NOT REALLL I think if people wanna be into horror they need to chill tf out

and have a third moment for those who were hunted and killed while fleeing the south to find safety across the border, overseas, in the north and to the west.

black people. light a candle, write a note to those who have passed telling them what you have achieved in spite of the racist and intolerant conditions of this world, feel the warmth of the flame under your hand, say a prayer of rememberance if you are religious, place the note under the candle, and then blow it out.

if you have children, sit them down and tell them anything you know about the life of oldest black person you've ever met. it doesn't have to be your own family. tell them what you know about what life was like for us in the days, years, decades after emancipation. if you don't know much, look it up and learn about it together.

Genuinely though it is so frustrating that nonbinary rights and exorsexism are not treated seriously at all, even from within the queer community. It sucks that there's not even an option for an X gender marker in so many countries, including in more progressive queer-friendly ones. It sucks that if enben want to get gender affirming care that we're advised to lie about our gender (or lack thereof) in favour of a more binary trans identity lest we jump through a million extra hoops on top of the million already in place for binary trans people to prove we're serious in order to get the care we want/need. It sucks that in most cases we're still forced into some kind of binary and I wish that the issues we deal with were acknowledged more.

"My 84 year old Navajo grandmother gave me one of her bracelets (that my silversmith grandfather made for her in the 50s) after seeing me as myself for the first time. It was one of the pinnacle moments of my transition and definitely made me cry.

i came out to my grandma at the beginning of the year over the phone. She really didn't (and I knew) know what transgender was or anything but this past weekend, we were able to see each other in person for the first time since i started my transition. For being 84 years old, the chat went as great as it could have gone! She caught me as I was leaving and she gave me a silver bracelet with turquoise and coral stones. She told me that this style is what Navajo women wear.

People will act like they are fantastic allies to nonbinary people and then turn around and lose their shit when someone's gender isn't entirely binary.

There are nonbinary people who are men but that does not make them "just" men, there are nonbinary women who are more than "just" women, there are nonbinary people who are both men and women, there are nonbinary people who are masculine and feminine without being a man or a woman, there are nonbinary people who are outside of the binary, there are nonbinary people lacking gender, there are multigender nonbinary people and gender fluid nonbinary people and gender non-comforming nonbinary people. There are people who are combinations of these genders! There will be people who you cannot tell if they are gay or if they are trans or if they are both or if they are neither and that is because we are all just people. There are even nonbinary people whose gender aligns with nonhumanity and that's delightful.

When you exclude nonbinary people and anyone with complicated relationships with gender, you are just ignoring how expansive and nuanced reality is.

Notice how I did not bring up sex when referring to nonbinary people. Know that sex is not binary but bimodal, understand that the presence or lack of presence of various sex characteristics can* affect gender but does not decide it.

Just joined yjtwt like 3 days ago so obviously I have like no follower base on there but since I’m around 1k on here I just wanna say

a major fandom artist with almost 4k followers harassing an 18 year old artist with a significantly smaller following is really shitty behavior. Even when others backed the accused artist up and reasonably suggested that accusing this person in front of 4k people instead of dealing with it privately isn’t fair, this person just acted like it was ridiculous to expect them to take the post down and acted arrogantly. The fact that she has absolutely no proof and the artist being harassed has in fact provided a lot of proof that she has not used ai and has been backed by those who get comms from her aside—if you suspect someone’s art is AI, don’t publicly humiliate them. You have no concrete proof. Especially not a literal teenager, but this should apply to everyone. Don’t tear fandom artists and writers down. Don’t become one of those popular artists/writers who uses their place in a fandom to unleash their followers on people you SUSPECT of doing something wrong with no proof. It’s not a good look.
