We did some pole work today, this picture was taken just before the heavens opened and we got completely soaked 🙈 He was really good, but as he’s getting fitter he’s got more energy and is starting to rush through things and try to canter all the time. We’re working on this both alone and in lessons, but I definitely want to take him on a long hack at some point for a good blast to get some of his energy out! He definitely does better when he’s regularly getting out and about.

A thrilling conclusion to a very horsey summer. A thunderstorm was literally on top of us, it’d been two weeks since we’d last jumped, and Gus just cantered around like it was nothing but ordinary. …And RIP to my stable leg. Will it ever come back? One can dream.
