As an intermezzo between the scheduled posts, I offer a picture of Jill, who used to be a townie. I really like how she turned out.

Rupert couldn’t comprehend what this faithful encounter meant. He lost track of time for a moment, unable to return to normal life. He experienced a lot of pain in his weak limbs; he’d throw up multiple times a day; at night, bizarre nightmares haunted him.

It all converged at a single point, one big realisation - Rupert was bearing alien spawn in his body. He was one of the many men abducted every night, helping the aliens spread their kind all over the Earth.

Rupert decided to update his wardrobe a bit and ended up finding a new person. Her name was Robin, and she was as awkward (in a likeable way) as he was. That’s weird how the right people seem to buy his cute awkwardness. He couldn’t help it: he was absolutely clueless about the consequences of any of this and the concept of commitment at this stage.

Rupert went for a coffee with a certain someone. Hayden’s precense was very calming to him - he knew exactly what needed to be said. And… that coffee chat quickly turned into something more. Perhaps, it was the right setting and the as their (rather) tame relationship suddenly bloomed.

They talked and played a little bit of chess. Somehow, the date was less intense than the ones Rupert had with Jill. He was also less nervous, even though his awkward personality still made a comeback. They did share a kiss, but it was rather tame.

His name was Hayden.

On one of his lonesome walks in-between studying, Rupert met a new interesting person. He didn’t feel a particular need for anyone’s love or support at this point, but the person seemed intriguing and very peculiar - which is why he found them rather attractive. A question Rupert asked himself a lot reappeared: did he really have to stop at Jill, who was also busy with her own life?

Rupert is dating Hayden now.

Even though Rupert couldn’t always handle going out and clubbing, he tried his best. Besides, his relationship with Jill helped him relieve the stress he had to otherwise face alone. They went on many dates (actually, just two dream dates) and were slowly getting closer, bonding over the difficulties of the job market in Mistal Valley. He’d sometimes wonder though whether this life of hedonism is something he can endure for too long - and return to his shell once again.

But Jill seemed to like him a lot either way - making this a dream date! They agreed to see each other again, giving an unexpected start to a relationship.

Realising that he scored a date in a new town made Rupert pretty nervous. They went to hang out at the local diner, and for the first few moments the transition felt rather off. But it was the kind of weird they both secretly liked, as Jill seemed to respond very positively to everything he said.

Rupert: So… uh…. You like crop tops?

Rupert was talking a lot, but he was also blushing for the entire time.

Everything has to start somewhere, and for Rupert Hallovan it starts in a cheap condo somewhere on the outskirts of Mistral Valley. He’s finally gotten a chance to start fresh, working towards his dream of becoming an architect in a new town. Rupert is a Knowledge sim with a secondary Romance aspiration. He is a Cancer.
