We all love the Darkling: in fact he’s one of my favorite characters, but I never shipped Darklina I guess. Darklina had a huge potential to end up together but Mal is HOME to Alina. From the beginning of the book itself, Mal and Alina were meant for each other in one way or another. Yes, he acted like an ass in S&S, but he still fought for her.

They were there for each other despite the differences they had to face along the way.
