There’s these two boys in my school who are always touching somehow. This morning they were holding hands in French class and here one is fondly stroking the other’s arm. When one of my best friend asked them if they were dating the one with the black sweat just smiled while the other one started blushing really hard and just stuttered a weak “what”.

Now, I don’t know you and you probably don’t know me, but there’s a thing a wanna say.

I support gender equality, meaning I believe that people of different genders should be treated as equals.

This means: I think a woman should be able to get the same pay as a man for doing the same job as long as she gets just as much done doing that job as a man does. This means that if a man hits a woman she should be able to hit him back AND if a woman hits a man, he should be able to hit her back. This means that I think a man who rapes someone is scum and a woman who rapes someone is scum. This means that if a man is convicted of a crime he committed, he should be punished, if a woman is convicted of a crime she committed she should be punished. I think that as long as a man knows what he’s doing he can have any job he wants, regardless of gender stereotypes and as long as a woman knows what she’s doing she can have any job she wants, regardless of gender stereotypes.

This does not mean I think all men are rapists, this does not mean I think all men are scum just for existing, this does not mean I think men should have less rights then they do. This does not mean I think women are better than men, this does not mean I think women can’t rape.

Gender equality is everyone getting the same rights, pay, and punishment for what they do. Gender equality is not women being treated like they’re worth more than men or men being treated like they’re worth more than women.The next person I see saying women are better than men/all men are rapists/men are pigs for being men is probably gonna get punched

Being cis does not make someone a bad person. Being trans does not make someone a good person.

Being straight does not make someone a bad person. Being gay does not make someone a good person.

Being white does not make someone a bad person. Being a poc does not make someone a good person.

Being a man does not make someone a bad person Being a woman does make someone a good person.

Just as no one in the LGTB community should have to apologize for the identity, neither should anyone else.
