I thought about it a little (more like I was making myself food and I thought about it) that, right now, for me at least, engaging in syscourse is mostly useless. because both parts ( especially anti endos) refuse to listen to the other side's arguments. anti endo talking points are:
endogenic systems make traumagenic systems look bad, because then professionals won't take them seriously (professionals don't care and some are aware that plurality without a cdd is a thing and they support it)
DID and OSDD are serious conditions and endogenics are just roleplaying our disorder (I've never seen an endogenic system claim that they are faking a CDD, say that they have a cdd without the trauma
It's impossible to have "alters" without trauma or a cdd
'system' is a word that only OSDD and DID systems can use
and pro endos say that everything's valid and just try to exist.
I don't know, at this point I don't know what are they aiming for. plurality is possible without a cdd, because it's only a symptom of a disorder. if it doesn't cause distress, it's not a disorder.
"but how can they split if not because of trauma?" because plurality doesn't work like cdds. it's understood under the same logic of writers and authors hearing their characters talk, or spiritual practitioners hearing spirits, or whatever. they can create their headmates, or they just appear, or whatever. if it doesn't cause distress, it's not a disorder, point blank.
"but it's impossible!" it happens, it's been documented. so it's possible.
"but they use our language and stole our terms!" the plural community created their own terms to separate themselves from the medical condition. yes, they use the word system, but they don't use it the same way that cdd systems use it. a word can have multiple meanings, it's called 'polysemy'. also, cdd patients don't own the word system. it's used for multiple things, and mostly endogenic systems use it around the meaning of: "a set of connected things or devices that operate together". no mention of cdds anywhere.
"they're just in denial about their trauma, that's how the disorder works!" and? if they're in denial, let them. it's their life. and if they don't have trauma at all, why does that affect you?
"but endogenic systems harassed me!" and anti endos called me slurs and sent me death threats, what's your point here?
they act as if experiencing being multiple consciousness in one body it's something only people with dissociative disorders can do. which, no. a disorder is something that causes distress. at that point, when I explain to anti endos all my talking points (because they just repeat the same arguments over and over) they just tell me I'm crazy or insane, and they tell me to kill myself. real mature.
or they say: "that's weird". and I'm like. okay, it's their life, so. ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
I don't know, it's almost like being a system doesn't have to be suffering all the time, and being in pain all the time.
