First Meeting
During the Clone Wars you help run and manage a relief corps that travels to planets freshly liberated from Separatist forces, providing food, medicine, and other aids to civilians in need. This often results in crossing paths with many clone trooper squadrons and battalions. When you touch down on Ryloth, a certain captain greets you shortly after with a smile after removing his helmet.
"I'm Captain Howzer, I've heard a lot about you and your relief corps, ma'am. We're thankful for how quickly you arrived." He falls in step alongside you
"As soon as we receive the green light, we're always eager to land and get started, Captain." You offer a small smile in return.
"Well, me and the boys are ready to assist wherever needed."
Your smile grows. "Surely you have other duties to see to Captain, I wouldn't want to keep you."
He shakes his head. "Nonsense, we're all here to help the people of Ryloth. Perhaps we can help set up the stations?"
You had met many clones who had offered help to you and your crew before, but there was something about this Captain Howzer and how eager he was. He had a genuine desire to help. You could feel it.
First Kiss
You had gone to gather some local herbs for tonight's dinner, the captain had insisted that he accompany you. Of course you hadn't minded one bit, some time with Howzer was always appreciated. The two of you had been growing closer and closer after all.
It hadn't been very long into your foraging journey when the sky had opened up and let loose one of the biggest downpours you had seen on this planet. You ran with the captain to a nearby rock outcropping that formed a shallow cave of somewhat. It enough to keep the rain off of you, but the both of you were still completely soaked.
You couldn't fight the tingling giddiness of making a made dash with Howzer in the rain, and he was openly grinning along with you.
He had left his helmet off the whole time, so his usually well kept locks atop his head now fell across his brow, water droplet falling with every movement of his head.
"Well," he pushed his hair back with one hand and you could help but admire how the scars on his chin and chiseled jaw seemed to glisten with the sheen of fresh rain. "I suppose there could be worse weather conditions to be caught in." His smile was infectious.
You hummed in agreement, wiping your face. "The flora here sure won't be complaining about the rain." You paused, wetting your lips, your gaze flicking away and back to him. The cave was small and the two of you were standing very close to each other "And I can't complain about the company..."
Howzer's honey eyes softened and an all too familiar energy settled between you two. "Me neither..." his smile felt even warmer now. He had smiled like this at you before and it always made you feel the same; bashful, giddy, and it had a certain kind of affection that would settle into your chest. The kind that had you laying awake at night, thinking of him and wondering if he too was staring up at whatever he was under with his thoughts trailing back to you.
And you would be right.
As the captain gazed at you, thunder rumbling softly and your beautiful eyes looking up at him, he swallowed and took a steadying breath. His gloved hand moved on its own and gently caressed your face, thumb brushing over your cheekbone.
When you blinked up at him, lips parting in surprise, he almost pulled his hand away. But you stepped closer to him, your hands hesitating to rest on his chest plate, and you both held your breath.
The next moment or two was only filled with the sound of the rain pouring just a couple feet from you.
Then the two of you spoke up at once.
"Howzer-"
"May I kiss you?"
Heat instantly bloomed across your face and he couldn't fight the the blush that tinged his own cheeks.
Howzer removed his hand and rubbed the back of his neck. "I..." he took a breath. Was it normal to feel one's own heart beat this hard in these kinds of situations? Were you feeling the same way? "That is...I'd really like to kiss you...if I may..."
His features held a soldier's determination alongside that certain kind of gentleness that he always seemed to possess. It was part of what had drawn you to him. And you wanted to become even closer to the captain.
You swallowed, then nodded. "Yes...you may..."
A small smile tugged at Howzer's lips and his eyes lit up. He turned and set his helmet down on the ground, then faced you once again. His gloved hands came up to gently hold your face and your heart flip flopped within your chest.
His gaze was warm. "I'm actually sorta nervous..." He chuckled.
You couldn't help but giggle with him, his confession making your nervous jitters melt away. "I'm nervous too!" your hands came to rest on his chest plate as the two of you smiled at each other.
His thumb brushed your cheek. "Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one."
Your shared gentle laughter slowly faded and the space between you two was brimming with a genuine affection that felt like a magnet pulling you two even closer to one another.
Howzer tilted your face up just a little bit as he leaned in, watching you as angled his head some, the tip of his nose brushing against yours. He whispered your name and another rumble of thunder rolled across the sky just as he gently met your lips with his.
The kiss was soft, chaste, warm, and you melted into it. You had longed for this, and you could feel the captain's longing through the kiss. He handled you so gently, fervently, like you were a precious treasure.
Howzer broke the kiss, only pulling back a hair and leaning back in for another kiss. Honestly, he wanted to keep kissing you until he couldn't breathe anymore. He moved to wrap his arms around you and his chest swelled when your arms wound around his neck. He could feel you lean into him and it made him want to hold you for as long as he possibly could.
When the two of you slowly pulled away for air, it took a moment for you to open your eyes to gaze up at the clone captain. His honey eyes contained a gleam of excitement and he was smiling at you.
"Ya know...I'm glad that we got caught in the rain...I've wanted to that for a long time now..." He could get used to this feeling, of having you in his arms.
"Me too, Captain," You beamed, silently hoping that it could keep storming for just a little while longer. "Me too."
It was absolutely HORRIBLE to see Wrecker attacking his brothers and Omega...but my horny brain saw how big his hand was on Tech's neck and how his hand was the size of Echo's head and went "Hmm,,, ,yes very hot, ,,"

Some soft comfort between you and the Captain at the rendezvous point after he helped the Bad Batch get their chips removed.
You found him just at the edge of the camp. He stood on the far side of his Y-wing.
The night was chilled and clear. The former clone captain kept his gaze fixated on the canopy of stars above him, the moon cast its soft beams over him, illuminating his frame in a gentle silver glow. He still had his armor on. The armor that had protected him for a majority of the war shone in the moonlight, accented by the several dents, scuffs, and scratches earned from his service to the former Republic. He had his worn helmet tucked under his arm, the blue jaig eyes above the visor facing forward as if keeping a lookout as he watched the sky.
It was almost as if you had stepped back in time. Not too far back, but to a time that now felt like a lifetime ago. A time when the captain before you knew what his purpose was, the purpose he and all of his brothers had before it all spun out of control like getting knocked out of hyper drive. Before parts of himself were scattered into the stars, drifting through space.
âRex?â You called softly as you slowly approached.
He blinked and glanced towards you as he said your name. âDidnât see ya there.â
âI know,â you offered a small smile as you came to stand by his side. âBut I knew I would find you here.â
A gentle scoff, the corner of his lips turning up just a bit. âI hope Iâm not becoming too predictable with my age.â Despite everything, you had remained one of the few remaining constants in his life. Amidst the fallout of chaos after the Empire seized control, Order 66, and becoming fugitives, the two of you had managed to reunite in spite of all the odds. And in that moment when you two held onto each other, as tightly as if the other were to be pulled away at any second, he vowed he would do all he could to keep you safe.
âNonsense, I just know you too well, thatâs all.â You slipped your hand into his, the familiar texture of his gloves was always soothing to you. His fingers wrapped around yours, anchoring him as some of the visible lines in his face seemed to ease and fade.
His honey gaze was soft on you, but there was a sadness in those eyes of his that you always loved to get lost in. You didnât press him just yet, instead you looked up at the stars with him.
These quiet moments could almost make one forget about all that was happening around the galaxy, how different life was, and that it would never return to what it once was.
A few moments passed with the two of you in comfortable silence with your joined hands between. But you could sense the weight on the trooperâs mind.
You glanced up at him, taking a small moment to admire his handsome features in the moonlight. A sharp jaw and chin paired with high and equally as sharp cheekbones, along with a strong nose created a sculpted profile. And even with the fall of the Republic and the GAR, the former captain still retained the regulated standard of grooming, keeping his blonde hair buzzed short and neat, along with keeping his face clean shaven.
âHeyâŚâ you gently squeezed his hand. âYou okay?â
Rex turned his eyes to you. He knew he could never deflect a question like that with you, you could see right through him. It was a talent of yours that always astounded him, but one he was grateful you possessed.
He took a deep breath. âWhen I was helping Hunter and the rest of âemâŚwhen Wreckerâs chip got the best of himâŚâ He cast his eyes downward. âI couldnât help but think back to when it happened to meâŚand when I had to fight my own brothersâŚâ He sighed. âSometimes I can still hear them, and still see their bodiesâŚâ
You had often heard him mumble in his sleep, the names of his fallen brothers as his mind replayed those fateful events that happened on that cruiser. And even with his new found purpose of fighting against the empire, there was still that unique pain he faced whenever he was faced with battling former republic clone troopers.
It squeezed your heart and you wished to be able to take away his pain. He had already been through so much.
You moved to stand in front of him, reached, and gently caressed his cheek. He closed his eyes, shoulders dropping just a bit as he let himself lean into your touch.
âI know it still hurts⌠and I know itâll still hurt for a while, but you were able to save these brothers of yours.â Your thumb stroked his cheekbone, and he slowly opened his eyes to gaze at you. âYou did good Rex. You should be proud.â You offered a small smile. You knew he was proud and relieved to have been able to assist other clones, but the fact that not all of his brothers couldâve been saved still ate at him.
The captain met your eyes, then softly swiped his thumb up your jawline, leaning down and gently angled your face up to meet him in a tender kiss. At times, it still felt like a dream, having you here like this. He let go of your hand in his and slid his arm around your waist, pulling you closer to his armored chest. In turn, you slanted your mouth against his and wrapped your arms around his neck.
A few moments passed before Rex slowly broke the kiss and rested his forehead against yours, closing his eyes and letting your breaths mingle together. He hummed softly as you gently scratched the back of his head.
âYou kinda sound like a loth cat purring.â You giggled, your smile growing when he gave an amused scoff, his nose brushing yours.
Rex opened his eyes to meet yours as his thumb stroked your cheek again. âNot the worst thing to be called I suppose.â
You muffled his light chuckle with another sweet kiss.
Another few moments and the two of you remained in one anotherâs embrace. With so much uncertainty in the galaxy, it was moments like this that you had to hold onto. Moments that gave comfort and hope for the possibility of a brighter future ahead.
