I've probably got about five years to figure out if I want to go chronological order or 'flashback' order when I first show the boy the Saga.
He found this Phantom Menace illustrated storybook I have, so we watched the first 20 minutes last weekend.

Loved the little meditation I heard today. Crazy how St. Thomas Aquinas wrote medicine against sadness 700 years ago. And it's simpler than anyone can imagine!
1. Give yourself a little treat (yeah it can be chocolate)
2. Cry
3. Talk to friends
4. Contemplate something beautiful, touch some grass
5. Take a bath and sleep
Also remember that feeling sad is a very human thing. Just be sure to not REMAIN in that sadness. And don't forget that God is there to suffer with you!!!
Here’s the source
Is pain or sorrow assuaged by every pleasure? Is it assuaged by weeping? Is it assuaged by the sympathy of friends? Is it assuaged by contem
My of my not-yet-two-year old has started spending a lot of time with the spare breviary I let him use.
We may need to have another son if the Crusade line is to continue by name,

Reasons to collect a lot of books:
A genuinely good book lends itself to rereading.
It gives you the opportunity to be generous and gift copies to friends.
It serves as an avenue for conversation with house guests.
Sometimes you dislike a book when you start to read it and put it aside, only to pick it up again at a later date and fall in love.
You may have a quote only obliquely remembered pop into mind, and it will drive you slowly insane until you are able to find it. A personal library is an unabridged commonplace book.
Ownership means that you do not need to be precious with the books and can mark them, tote them, and fold them as needed to truly understand the text and enjoy the experience.
Life is unpredictable, and you cannot anticipate which books will be relevant and which will not. A wide range of books is simply an increased number of resources.
Reasons not to collect a lot of books:
Moving sucks.
I've cut Becket (1964) down to an hour and a half. Next up: Kingdom of Heaven Director's Cut. Maybe I can pull an hour of good material out of that one.
Once again I am asking you for a movie set during the Peloponnesian War.
Medieval history is a lot harder to teach than Ancient because there are four or five different stories going on at the same time. Greece and Rome are a lot more linear, at least as far as telling the story of Western Civilization goes.
Bellini, Barocci, Caravaggio, Saint Francis of Assisi receiving the stigmata.
