He is just so disrespectful to George in such a blatantly obvious way he's not even trying to hide it. He doesn't even have the shame to hide it because he couldn't fucking care less.
Just take a look at this.
He hugs Kimi. Whatever, he won. He barely even interacts with George then he IMMEDIATELY goes to Lewis and fucking bows for him. This clip genuinely filled me with sm rage because it just reminded me how underappreciated George is in general, and T*to is no exception. His driver drove a very good race all things considered, couldn't he at least spare a few words? Nevermind a few words, how about ONE word or a hug or something?? Especially since George was clearly down after the race. As a team boss you're supposed to encourage your drivers not do whatever the fuck this is. He will always, always like Kimi and Lewis more than George, no matter how hard George works or how many results he gets. It doesn't matter to Toto. Toto never smiles in the garage unless it's Kimi doing well.
This isn't a one-off thing, it's recurring and we all know it. The difference in treatment is absurd, and no one can say "oh but Kimi is just young" because Toto acted this way with Lewis too. Toto has always and will always have favorites, no matter what their actual contribution to the team is. Even if George didn't win today, Toto should've been proud of his performance, yet he does absolutely nothing to show for it.
As talented as Kimi is, the win today truly wasn't THAT impressive considering he's in a rocket ship, yet everyone went on and on about it acting like it was the most masterful performance since Senna was still alive. I'm not saying don't let Kimi have his moment, but the way George is SO underappreciated by everyone- commentators, fans, Toto- no matter how much he tries is cruel. Last year when George won (unexpectedly and NOT in a rocket ship) Toto barely batted an eye. Sure, these weren't George's first wins, but I don't care. If Toto can be ecstatic about Lewis' 203rd podium he can be happy about George's 4th or 5th win.
